'The Real Story of Colony Ridge': BlazeTV exclusive documentary drops TOMORROW

Millions of illegal immigrants crossing our borders is one‚ if not the‚ biggest concern our nation currently faces. Biden’s open-border policies have resulted in crime skyrocketing‚ school systems collapsing under the weight of the influx‚ and American taxpayers funding foreigners who broke the law to be here. One of the locations where illegal immigration is perhaps at its worst is in Colony Ridge‚ the fastest-growing development of its kind in the state of Texas. The subdivision is shrouded in mystery. That’s why BlazeTV's Glenn Beck and an investigative team visited Colony Ridge to find out what’s actually going on there‚ and what they uncovered will leave you dumbfounded. France poised to drop renewable targets and fully embrace nuclear energy to ensure 'energy sovereignty'

France is looking to lean more heavily on nuclear power‚ having apparently realized that a civilized and productive nation cannot reliably run off so-called renewable energy. The French government will consider legislation in early February that would eliminate renewable power objectives within France's energy code‚ including targets for reducing energy consumption by way of renovating buildings. France24 indicated that the legislation sets no explicit targets for building renewable capacity. Instead of mucking around with objectives for renewables‚ the legislation would have France embrace "the sustainable choice of using nuclear energy as a competitive and carbon-free" source of power. To this end‚ the proposed French legislation — touted as a means to ensure "energy sovereignty" — would push for the construction of between six and 14 new nuclear reactors. Energy Transition Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher told the weekly newspaper La Tribune Dimanche that the construction of these reactors is necessary to reduce the country's reliance on fossils fuels to 40% from 60% by 2035‚ reported Reuters. The U.S. Department of Energy admitted in 2021 that nuclear energy was the most reliable energy source‚ at least on this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Each nuclear reactor typically generates the same amount of power as 431 utility-scale wind turbines or 3.1 million solar panels. In addition to being less productive than nuclear and fossil fuels‚ renewables are unreliable. A 2021 study published in the journal Nature Communications indicated‚ "If future net-zero emissions energy systems rely heavily on solar and wind resources‚ spatial and temporal mismatches between resource availability and electricity demand may challenge system reliability." The researchers indicated that "the most reliable renewable electricity systems are wind-heavy and satisfy countries' electricity demand in 72-91% of hours ... Yet even in systems which meet >;90% of demand‚ hundreds of hours of unmet demand may occur annually." Despite the efficacy of nuclear‚ the French legislation has been met with some criticism. Arnaud Gosse‚ a lawyer with the French energy-focused firm Gosse Avocats‚ suggested in a blog post that the bill‚ which goes before the French cabinet next month‚ "weakens France's climate objectives‚ starting with the objective of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. The objective would no longer be to 'reduce' but to tend towards a reduction in 'our greenhouse gas emissions.'" Gosse suggested further to France24 that the bill "a terrible step back." Jules Nyssen‚ the president of France's Renewable Energies Union‚ was unsurprisingly antagonistic of the bill‚ claiming he was "stunned" to learn it removes renewable targets. Anne Bringault‚ an activist at Climate Action Network — an alarmist group that seeks "transformational change in our societies and economies" — told France24‚ "this is an extremely significant step backwards‚ and totally inconsistent with European objectives." RFI reported that France remains among the lowest emitters of greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union largely thanks to the 57 nuclear reactors it has built since the 1973 oil crisis. Reuters indicated that an increase in French exports of nuclear power to other European nations would likely reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and thereby spare climate alarmists the guilt often associated with winter warmth. Already this year‚ France has reportedly overseen a three-year high in nuclear generation. From Jan. 2-9‚ France was an average daily net exporter of over 12.2 gigawatts of power‚ with roughly 3 gigawatts going to Germany and another six headed to Switzerland‚ the U.K.‚ and Italy. France is not the only European nation waking up to the unreliability of renewable electricity. The Swedish parliament announced last year that in the interest of a "stable energy system‚" it would have to abandon its goal of "100 per cent renewable electricity production by 2040." AOC’s plan to handle illegal immigration is so bad‚ it’s almost funny

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‚ better known as AOC — or “the wizard of the Hamas caucus‚" in the words of Dave Rubin — is the queen of catastrophic ideas. But her views on Israel and Palestine are just the tip of the iceberg. As a proponent of open borders‚ it’s no wonder her plan to combat the illegal immigration crisis choking our country is utterly contemptible. It’s so bad‚ in fact‚ it’s almost funny. According to AOC‚ the flood of illegal aliens entering our country is quite a simple fix. “From all parts of the political spectrum‚ one of the biggest issues that we have when it comes to immigration is the fact that we have an undocumented population‚” she told Desus Nice of “The Daily Show.” “Now you can fix that by trying to build a wall‚ or you can fix that by trying to document people and create a path to citizenship‚” she said. “People don't have a documented and reliable path to work and sustain themselves‚ just like all of our ancestors did and our grandparents.” Translation: reward illegal immigrants who broke the law with citizenship and resources at the expense of American citizens. “Our ancestors and our grandparents came here legally‚” sighs Dave‚ pointing out the glaring flaw in her argument. “There's 12 million of them here‚ [and] we don't know how many are pouring through the border. Just document them‚ send them in‚ give them some docs and that'll solve the problem‚” he mocks. “That doesn’t solve any of the problems.” Want more from Dave Rubin? To enjoy more honest conversations‚ free speech‚ and big ideas with Dave Rubin‚ subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America‚ defend the Constitution‚ and live the American dream.

My bold prediction for 2024: Chaos

My bold prediction for 2024: Chaos

Here we are in a shiny new year‚ and it is time for policy analysts and others to make their predictions about what will happen in the next 12 months. Of course‚ no one has the slightest idea what is going to happen. The biggest reason for that ignorance is that the people who control things do not yet know what they will do. They do not yet know what upcoming catastrophes they have already set in motion‚ and they do not know what the political ramifications of those disasters will be. “The people who control things” today are largely of the left‚ which might come as a surprise to those who believe the left is anti-business and hence in a weak position to control events. It is not. Today’s leftists love any business they can control. Leftists‚ in fact‚ idolize money and crave control over it. They hate money only when other people have it. In the United States today‚ the federal government asserts ultimate power over the flow of money — how it is invested and consumed and by whom. As such‚ the U.S. government is fundamentally leftist. Naked power‚ however‚ is unattractive to those not already corrupted by its blandishments. Consequently‚ the left’s goals are clad — or shrouded — in calls for greater equality. From the French Revolution to the Bolshevik Revolution to the present day‚ leftists have continually promoted the remaking of society to destroy corrupt institutions that they presume create inequality. The means for this fall under the rubric of “democracy‚” which is the euphemism the left uses for its unrelenting accumulation of power. Destruction is the inevitable outcome of the pursuit of forced equality. Regardless of whether the reduction of inequality is a sincere goal or merely a pretext for power grabs (or both)‚ the pursuit invariably leads to oppression. Inequality is a natural outcome of human variety and diversity. The only way to reduce it is by suppressing excellence — including excellence of character. Good character is associated with desirable outcomes and is the foundation of human flourishing. That helps explain why the initiatives of the left tend to undermine the development of positive traits of personal character — such as probity‚ thrift‚ courage‚ honesty‚ temperance‚ modesty‚ patience‚ liberality‚ magnanimity‚ friendliness‚ proper ambition‚ and devotion to what is right. For example‚ the presumably well-intentioned national-scale attempt to give all children an equal start in life through the welfare state has undermined personal character by removing fathers from homes and weakening the connection between effort and reward. The reluctance to acknowledge natural differences between human males and females has progressed from “equal pay for equal work” to a war on masculinity and even on the obvious and entirely natural differentiation of human beings into two sexes. Efforts to treat criminals as victims of oppression — morally equalizing them with their own victims‚ when not elevating perpetrators above their prey — increase crime rates and reduce the availability of goods and services to those living in crime-ridden areas‚ further expanding the number of victims. The refusal to accept that different children naturally have dissimilar ceilings on their potential academic achievement has led to a continual decay of academic standards and the pursuit of damaging education fads that further undermine achievement — which reduces the quality of life for all because of missed opportunities for greatness among those so ill-taught. Such destruction is the inevitable outcome of the pursuit of forced equality. Then‚ as the actions taken to promote equality create more inequality and social chaos‚ the left presses for further government action to solve the problems it created. Identification of ever-more cases of inequality incites further panicked action to remediate them‚ thus creating more problems and unhappiness and fevered calls for new remedies. The continual failure to solve the problems created by the pursuit of equality ultimately leads to hatred toward one’s nation and‚ soon enough‚ toward one’s fellow citizens. That is why our “progressive” president has failed so badly. It is also why the failed president has chosen to base his re-election campaign on the presumption of gross malevolence on the part of anyone who rightly chooses not to support him. Persistent failure leads to hatred of those who insist on standing in the way of the equalization steamroller and the Sacred Democracy that fuels it. None of that is a strategy. Leftism is a self-perpetuating mechanism of destruction of all natural human endeavors‚ enterprises‚ and institutions. That is why we cannot predict what the left will do‚ now or ever. We cannot know what will offend leftists next and what disasters their own actions will trigger. All we can confidently predict is that the outcomes will be awful‚ unnatural‚ and highly destructive. That is my prediction for 2024.

'Reacher' star says he imitated his crime-fighting character while on date with his wife and seeing crook breaking into car

"Reacher" star Alan Ritchson said during an interview that he actually imitated his show's crime-fighting character‚ Jack Reacher‚ while on date with his wife when they saw a crook breaking into car. What are the details?Ritchson broke it all down in a clip posted last week from "etalk‚" a celebrity program that's part of Canada's CTV network.“We were on a date in Montreal walking to a very nice dinner all dressed up‚ and we saw somebody breaking into a car. And‚ like‚ she put it together before I did‚" Ritcher recalled to the program‚ noting that there was "glass everywhere" and a crook was "rooting through somebody’s stuff and came out with all these bags."He added that his wife said‚ "I think he’s breaking into that car." Richter's response? "By gosh‚ I think you’re right."Apparently‚ Richter's wife had an inkling of what might happen next."And she goes‚ ‘Don’t do it!’ And I was like‚ ‘Instant Reacher Mode‚’ and I was like‚ ‘Some justice has to be done here.’ And I chased that dude like four blocks until I tossed him into a building and the cops came‚” Richter added. In the end‚ he said his wife was "very mad at me for not just‚ like‚ taking her on our date‚" but Richter noted that "we got there eventually." @etalkctv Turns out Alan Ritchson is the real-life version of Jack Reacher! 🫢 The star of 'Reacher' told us about stopping a real-life robbery in Montréal while on a date with his wife. 👏 #Reacher #AlanRitchson #JackReacher #storytime #interview #DateNight #Montreal ♬ original sound - etalk Anything else?According to the Internet Movie Database‚ the hit Amazon series "Reacher" focuses on a retired Military Police officer who's arrested for a murder he didn't commit — and who "finds himself in the middle of a deadly conspiracy full of dirty cops‚ shady businessmen‚ and scheming politicians. With nothing but his wits‚ he must figure out what is happening in Margrave‚ Georgia."Tom Cruise played the same character in two movies released in 2012 and 2016. Like Blaze News? Save your skin with these three tallow brands

Save your skin with these three tallow brands

Why is everyone talking about tallow? Tallow‚ which is rendered fat from animals‚ particularly beef or sheep‚ has been used traditionally in skin care for centuries‚ and it’s making a comeback. Its similarity to human sebum makes it well suited for moisturizing and nourishing the skin without causing imbalance or clogging pores. Moreover‚ emollient tallow contains a variety of nutrients‚ including vitamins (A‚ D‚ E‚ and K)‚ fatty acids‚ and antioxidants. These components can contribute to the overall health and vitality of the skin‚ promoting hydration and supporting skin regeneration‚ as well as providing a protective barrier that helps prevent moisture loss‚ keeping the skin hydrated and supple. It’s effective‚ and just importantly‚ it’s clean. No endocrine disrupting‚ no hidden chemicals. As so many people have begun to question and turn away from corporate food products‚ the same logic impels them to abandon Big Skin Care. Without further ado‚ the three best independent American and Canadian tallow brands: VanMan VanMan’s mission statement says it all: “Together‚ we have created a movement with an anti-big pharma message‚ using our knowledge of holistic health and inspired‚ soulful remedies that speak beyond the confines of analytics‚ studies‚ and ‘science.’ We know what feels good‚ we know what health is‚ and we refuse to let anyone manipulate us into thinking otherwise.” The company sells all the basic self-care stuff: tallow‚ deodorant‚ lip balm‚ mouthwash‚ and toothpaste made from all-natural‚ clean ingredients that feel seamless on the skin with any of the toxic sludge you find in mainstream products. Fatskn When the founder of Fatskn got serious about starting a family back in 2017‚ she was shocked by how her personal care items were negatively affecting her health. Having researched topics like fertility‚ digestion‚ fetal development‚ nutrients‚ and supplements‚ she ultimately determined to make her own skin care‚ knowing she could trust what was in the formulas she came up with. Caitlin writes‚ “From the start‚ I knew I wanted to focus on saturated fats. They’re more stable in structure and far more resistant to oxidation than unsaturated fats. Enter grassfed tallow. This was a no-brainer for me. Highly saturated‚ loaded with fat-soluble vitamins‚ and rich in skin-strengthening amino acids. And my skin LOVED IT. Not only did my skin look healthier — it actually was healthier. It retained moisture better‚ tanned easier‚ and felt buttery soft.” Fatskn offers a greater variety of skin care products‚ aimed at women looking for alternatives to the beauty industry. Shwally Shwally shares a similar origin story as the others but offers a greater variety of items for families‚ including natural‚ safe‚ comfortable‚ and attractive play mats for children. The company writes‚ “Because if your body is absorbing a majority of what you put on it‚ the products you use should be so clean that you could eat them. As a family‚ we saw there’s no one looking out for the little guy. So we are. We’re here to help you feel really good about being parents‚ by creating products that you can feel confident in‚ knowing they are safe for your baby and look good in your home. Humans originated living in balance with nature‚ and it’s our goal to get back to that.”

US and Chinese military officials discuss Taiwan's fate ahead of island nation's presidential election

US and Chinese military officials discuss Taiwan's fate ahead of island nation's presidential election

American and Chinese military officials met this week to discuss Taiwan's fate days ahead of the sovereign island nation's presidential election‚ which Chinese dictator Xi Jinping characterized as a choice between war and peace. The candidates Presidential candidate William Lai Ching-te of the Democratic Progressive Party was leading in the polls with 36% as of Jan. 3. According to the Economist‚ a win for Lai — the former mayor of the southern city of Tainan‚ deemed a "complete troublemaker" by the communist Chinese regime — would likely prompt China to issue more threats and take additional steps to isolate Taiwan. Lai has served as outgoing President Tsai Ing-wen's vice president. Tsai ruffled Chinese feathers during her tenure‚ having refused to appease the communists by publicly claiming Taiwan belonged to Beijing. Lai‚ whom China refuses to speak with‚ appears keen to continue asserting Taiwan's independence from the mainland. He has stressed the island nation's right to self-rule‚ underscoring in a December debate that the communist regime poses a "threat to Taiwan and the international community." Despite his independent mindset‚ the Economist indicated Lai's victory is far from assured as his party has an optics problem with young voters‚ who regard the DPP as establishmentarian. Lai's top opponent with 31% is Hou You-yi‚ the leader of the conservative Kuomingtang. Hou is a former cop and mayor of New Taipei City who has reportedly rejected the notion of the sovereign island nation's independence from China as well as the "one country‚ two systems" model favored by Beijing. Ko Wen-je of the Taiwan People's Party has been trailing third in the polls with 24% of the likely vote. Ko‚ a former surgeon‚ served as mayor of Taipei‚ the nation's capital‚ until 2022‚ then went on to found the TPP. Supportive of a possible coalition with the KMT‚ Ko appears keen on not rocking the boat in regard to China. He did‚ however‚ stress during the presidential debate that "Taiwan needs self-reliance." The stakes Chinese dictator Xi Jinping threatened once again in his New Year's address that China would "surely be reunified‚ and all Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should be bound by a common sense of purpose‚" reported the Associated Press. Xi further suggested the Taiwanese presidential election amounted to a choice between war and peace. Clarifying the regime's bias‚ Chen Binhua‚ a spokesman for China's Taiwan Affairs Office‚ called Lai a "destroyer of peace" and accused him of being an "instigator of a potential dangerous war in the Taiwan Strait." U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska)‚ who is leading a bipartisan Senate resolution this week praising democracy in Taiwan and supporting its self-defense‚ told Fox News over the weekend that Taiwan's eighth presidential election constitutes "a huge vulnerability to the premise of Xi Jinping's dictatorship." "Xi Jinping fears his own people and he fears that people on the mainland are going to look across the Taiwan Strait and go‚ 'Wait a minute‚ how come we can't do that?'" said Sullivan. "Every one of these parties‚ even the KMT‚ they're all starting to move away from any kind of accommodation policy towards Beijing. Almost two-thirds of Taiwanese in recent polling now see themselves exclusively as Taiwanese. These are all things that I think Xi Jinping realizes. He's quite vulnerable." Military discussions U.S. and Chinese military officials met in Washington this week. While the talks were supposedly administrative in nature‚ policy concerns were nevertheless raised. According to the Pentagon‚ Michael S. Chase‚ deputy assistant secretary of defense for China‚ Taiwan‚ and Mongolia‚ "highlighted the importance of maintaining open lines of military-to-military communication in order to prevent competition from veering into conflict." Chase further "reaffirmed that the United States will continue to fly‚ sail‚ and operate safely and responsibly wherever international law allows‚" referencing the Taiwan Strait. The Chinese delegation said‚ "China will not make any concession or compromise on the Taiwan question and demanded that the US side abide by the one-China principle‚ honor relevant commitments‚ stop arming Taiwan‚ and not support Taiwan independence‚" according to China's ministry of defense. The U.S. does not have a formal defense treaty with Taiwan‚ but nevertheless provides it military gear under the Taiwan Relations Act‚ which authorizes America to "make available to Taiwan such defense articles and defense services in such quantity as may be necessary to enable Taiwan to maintain a sufficient self-defense capability" and to "maintain the capacity of the United States to resist any resort to force or other forms of coercion that would jeopardize the security‚ or the social or economic system‚ of the people on Taiwan." The Chinese delegation‚ led by Major General Song Yanchao‚ further demanded that the U.S. "reduce military presence and provocation in the South China Sea and stop supporting provocative actions by certain country." Ohio House overrides Gov DeWine's veto of bill that bans gender-mutilating surgeries for minors

The Ohio House‚ with a Republican majority‚ voted Wednesday afternoon to override Republican Governor Mike DeWine's veto of a GOP-backed bill that would have banned gender-mutilating surgeries for minors and prevented males from competing in female sporting events. The override passed in a 65-28 vote."Today‚ we are making history as we gather to override the governor's veto‚" stated Republican state Representative Jena Powell‚ who spoke about protecting women in sports ahead of the vote. "This bill would ensure women compete on a level playing field in Ohio."During the Wednesday session‚ Democratic state representatives spoke out in support of the Republican governor's decision to veto House Bill 68.State Representative Anita Somani (D) said‚ "I'm disappointed that what we're doing is harmful to people in our state. Legislatures don't trust science."She claimed that "a political‚ hateful agenda was pushed through.""Why? Because of money given by radical Christian groups to push an agenda that does not help a single family‚" Somani continued.State Representative Richard Brown (D) argued that the bill violates Ohio's single-subject rule."This bill deals with two different subjects‚" Brown explained. "Number one‚ gender-affirming care... and number two‚ trans-athletic bans."State Representative Jessica Miranda (D) accused supporters of the override of "literally killing our children.""Take that in for a moment. Literally killing our children‚" Miranda repeated. "All to win your Republican primary races. Disgusting.""I hope all of the money that CCV‚ the so-called Center for Christian Virtue‚ raises off of bullying our children keeps them up every single night of their low lives‚" she added.Republican state Representative Gary Click‚ the bill's sponsor‚ made closing comments ahead of the vote."I don't intend to return the accusations of hate. Until a moment ago‚ I wanted to say no one in here hates anyone. I think most people here have good intentions. I believe our governor has good intentions. However‚ good intentions do not save lives or protect women. Good policy does‚" Click stated."Why in the world do we live in a society that says to our children that you need a scalpel and drugs to be your 'authentic self'?" Click asked. What's the background? In late December‚ DeWine vetoed HB 68‚ Blaze News previously reported. Despite overwhelming support from the party‚ DeWine claimed he could not allow the legislation to become law as currently written. Supporters championed the bill as strengthening parental rights. HB 68‚ also known as the Saving Adolescents from Experimentation Act‚ would have banned medical professionals from performing so-called gender-affirming surgeries on minors or prescribing children cross-sex hormones. The legislation would have also prohibited males from competing in women's sporting events.DeWine stated‚ "I've also listened to youth and parents. Parents who have told me if not for this treatment‚ their child would be dead.""Now‚ while there are rare times in the law in other circumstances where the state overrules the medical decisions made by the parents‚ I can think of no examples where this is done where it is not only against the decision of the parent‚ but also against the medical judgement of the treating physician and against the judgement of the treating team of medical experts‚" he added. The governor called for the general assembly to continue working on the measure. After receiving criticism from the bill's supporters for vetoing the legislation‚ one week later‚ DeWine signed an "emergency" executive order banning gender-mutilating surgeries for minors‚ Blaze News previously reported. "[A]lthough I vetoed Substitute House Bill 68‚ I stated clearly in my Veto Message that I agreed with the General Assembly that no gender transition surgeries should be performed on anyone under the age of 18 and I directed agencies under my purview to draft rules to ban this practice in Ohio‚" DeWine's Executive Order 2024-01D stated. He called his intervention "necessary" to protect children and families. "[T]he Ohio Department of Health has drafted rules that would prohibit gender transition surgeries on anyone under the age of 18 in Ohio's hospitals and health care facilities‚ including ambulatory surgical facilities‚" the order added. On Friday‚ Click called out the governor for condemning government intervention and then enacting an executive order. "While I support his efforts as a temporary measure‚ I cannot accept them as a substitute for the SAFE Act. His suggestion that we take his measures and place them in a bill for his signature was insulting‚" he stated.Like Blaze News? Lauren Chen on why the Golden Globes was miserable to watch

Every year‚ it seems the Golden Globe Awards show gets worse. This year was no exception. “I think it’s pretty safe to say at this point that the era of the celebrity awards show is basically dead‚” Lauren Chen says‚ adding that they’re “an excuse for celebrities to virtue-signal about how progressive they are” and “essentially serve as left-wing propaganda.” Comedian Jo Koy hosted the event and ended up circulating on X. Not because his performance was reminiscent of when Ricky Gervais hosted but because “he was failing so spectacularly to elicit any type of laugh from the audience.” He used his time on stage to poke fun at white people‚ telling the celebrity-packed audience that white people “stole everything.” “You took the land‚ you took the oil‚ you took the premise of the movie. What that was your premise? That’s hilarious‚ I don’t care. It’s just that the room is really white. The room’s like yeah‚ we did take it‚” Koy joked. The audience's laughter was muffled. “When you make a woke‚ anti-white‚ ‘Oh‚ aren’t white people terrible’ joke in a room full of progressive celebrities and they still don’t laugh‚ that’s how you know it isn’t funny‚” Chen says‚ unamused. But that wasn’t the worst of it. Koy also set his sights on Taylor Swift‚ which proved to be another flop. “We came on after a football double header‚” Koy began‚ “the big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL‚ on the Golden Globes we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift‚ I swear.” When the camera panned to Taylor Swift‚ her gaze was locked on the comedian — and she was not happy. “Suffice it to say that home girl looks absolutely pissed‚” Chen says. Video: Public works employee steps up big time to help police nab suspected porch pirate on the run from cops

Surveillance video caught the moment when a Yonkers‚ New York‚ public works employee stepped up to help police collar a suspected porch pirate on the run from them last week. What are the details? Yonkers police said they spotted Francisco Jose Eder Mateo‚ 27‚ of the Bronx‚ stealing packages from a porch. Police bodycam video indicates the incident took place just after 2 p.m. Jan. 3. Police said when they approached Mateo‚ he ran away. However‚ surveillance video from another home caught the moment when a good Samaritan — a Yonkers public works employee‚ in fact — saw Mateo running from cops‚ got out of his vehicle‚ and shoved the scampering suspect to the ground. Video shows the public works employee joining a police officer who was chasing Mateo in subduing Mateo. Police said Mateo was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property‚ both in the fourth degree and both felonies‚ as well as other misdemeanors. Police said Mateo was released on his own recognizance at his arraignment. "This video shows what happens when everyone works together seamlessly to stop crime‚" police added. "A resident sees a crime and quickly calls it in‚ allowing officers to get on the scene quickly; officers flood the area to ensure the suspect can’t get away despite his attempted fleeing‚ finished off by a good Samaritan who saw an opportunity to help our officers capture a suspect and took that opportunity right to him." Cops also sent a message to "any future thieves planning to commit these crimes in Yonkers" and suggested they "pick somewhere else. Our residents‚ officers‚ and city employees will not stand by and allow you to victimize people in this city. You will be apprehended and delivered to the court system to answer for your actions."
