A state legislator is urging the University of Iowa to dismiss a physician after the individual reportedly shared a controversial social media comment criticizing President-elect Donald Trump following Tuesday’s general election. Mayank Sharma, a medical fellow at UI Health Care, reportedly responded Wednesday to a pro-Trump post with the following remark: “Well I hope you lose your kid in a school shooting. Already you have nothing to lose, it won’t matter to you anyways! Prepare for your kids funeral.” Absolutely sick! Reports are claiming this was the post (which has now been deleted and his entire X account has also apparently been deleted: Memo to Dr. TDS: the Internet is written in ink and you don’t just get to delete you account and hope no one noticed…. Because many people noticed and many are extremely concerned that you ALLEGEDLY just told someone to “prepare for their kids funeral” while being…..wait for it….. a PEDIATRICIAN! Would you send your children to this doctor? Oh my…. Dr.Mayank Sharma engaged in a political conversation with a Trump supporter on X Wednesday morning. After the Trump supporter told him to “stay mad,”Dr. Sharma unleashed a graphic response. “Well I hope you lose your kid in a school shoo[t]ing,” Dr. Sharma wrote. “Already you have nothing to lose, it won’t matter to you anyways! Prepare for your kids funeral.” The post was deleted shortly thereafter. Dr. Sharma also deleted his X account, but anarchived version of the account reveals his bio identified him as a “pediatric cardiologist.” Dr. Sharma was formerly listed as a pediatric cardiology fellow on the University of Iowa Health Care website. His name no longer appears on the fellowship’s website. The fellowship is based at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. University of Iowa Health Care confirmed in a statement to The National News Desk that the university is “aware of the situation and is reviewing the matter” in accordance with its policies. “The University of Iowa strongly objects to violence,” the statement added. Dr. Sharma did not respond to an email from The National News Desk sent Wednesday. He previously worked atSUNY Update Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y., where he completed his residency. Iowa state Rep. Carter Nordman, R-Dallas Center, sent a letter Thursday toUniversity of Iowa President Barbara J. Wilson calling Dr. Sharma’s comments “repulsive, deeply unprofessional, and not representative of the world-class operations at UI Health Care.” “I believe the University should terminate his employment to assure Iowans that they can receive proper care from our state hospital, no matter their personal political beliefs or who they voted for,” Rep. Nordman wrote. “Maintaining his employment sends the wrong message to Iowans, who have resoundingly voted for President Trump three times.” I have a question…. Obviously, there is no defense of this behavior.  None. But where does the fault truly lie here? How about Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris and countless others calling Trump supporters “literally Hitler” and “Garbage” and “dangerous”. What responsibility do they bear? How about the extreme Far-Left Universities that brainwash students to “Hate Trump” and “Hate Republicans”? We send people like Dr. Sharma to countless years of Far-Left schooling to hear the brainwashing over and over and over, then people like Dr. Sharma tune in to channels like CNN and MSNBC who call Trump supporters “Literally Hitler”…..is it any wonder they finally start parroting back all the hate, exactly as they heard it? I would say the surprise would be if things like this WEREN’T happening! I’m not defending it at all, I’m just saying perhaps we need to cut off the poison at the ROOT. How about Biden, Harris, Pelosi and all the rest stop with their dangerous rhetoric? How about Far-Left Universities simply teach EDUCATION and not HATE? How about we start there? As the dust settles on the 2024 election, the Regime Media is beginning to take inventory of the massive loss that it took. Welcome to This Week In just 71 days, Donald Trump will be sworn in again as President of the United States. His comeback victory, unlike anything we have ever seen in American history. Just take a look at the final results. With Arizona now projected for Trump, he locks in a sweeping victory in every single battleground state, and Trump did more than that. He made big gains with young voters and with Latinos, doing better among Hispanic voters than any Republican presidential candidate since the first exit polls were conducted in 1976. He even did better among women than when he ran against Joe Biden. He also made significant gains in some of the most Democratic places in the country, doing better in places like Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Chicago. And in deep blue California, Donald Trump is on track to do better than any Republican in two decades- and he was running against a Californian! California voters also rejected liberal policies on taxes, rent control, and crime. They voted overwhelmingly to approve Proposition 36, which imposes tougher penalties for shoplifting and drug possession. Both the mayor of San Francisco and the liberal district attorney in Los Angeles were voted out. A rejection of liberal policies, particularly on crime in some of the most liberal jurisdictions in the United States. Regardless of what you think about the outcome, whether you are happy about it or fearful, this week was a victory for democracy. Turnout was near record high and when the votes were counted, the losing candidate didn't cry foul or make false allegations of election fraud or try to overturn the will of the voters. She gave a gracious concession speech, and the outgoing president promised to ensure a smooth and peaceful transfer of power, with Biden and Trump scheduled to meet at The White House on Wednesday. Democracy worked, even if it brought us a President Elect who many argued is a threat to democracy. Now the question turns to what the man who tried to overturn a democratic election four years ago will do with his mandate.  Had Kamala Harris won the election, particularly in such a resounding manner, would George Stephanopoulos have deferred the post-election to his co-hosts? You and I both know the answer is an emphatic no, and that Jon Karl definitely drew the short straw for this assignment. So it is that this week’s broadcast begins, as did many shows throughout the 2024 electoral cycle, with a lengthy, overwrought editorial. This one, while slightly different in substance, is the same as the others both in tone and tenor. After years of howling to viewers about Donald Trump being an existential threat to democracy thus attempting to make the choice for them, the American public listened to those arguments and chose otherwise. Donald Trump is the duly elected president. Once again. Despite four years of media caterwauling, grotesque bias, and promotion of lawfare and government censorship. If you listen closely, you can hear the bits of crow stuck in Karl’s throat as he reads these words off of the teleprompter. But Karl couldn’t let it go without getting one last shot in.  More than likely, this wasn’t so much a monologue as it was a workshopping of the introduction to Karl’s fourth book about Trump. The election is over, but the obsession remains.

A California special education teacher is accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old student. The Los Angeles teacher also had sex with the underage boy in her classroom and provided him with marijuana, according to police. On Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested 43-year-old Colleen Jo Matarico.Matarico is in custody on $1.3 million bail.Police said in a statement that Matarico of Valley Village "groomed and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old victim in her classroom, and later convinced the victim to have sexual intercourse in her vehicle." Police said the special education teacher also provided marijuana to the boy and added that "detectives believe there are additional, unidentified victims of Matarico who have yet to come forward."Matarico was charged with five counts of lewd acts with a minor, two counts of lewd acts with a minor 14 or 15 years old, and one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor.Matarico's LinkedIn profile states she is a special education teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District.According to the John Burroughs Middle School website, Matarico was listed as “a teacher.”School principal Dr. Steve Martinez told the school community Thursday in a message shared with the New York Post that the teacher was removed from campus after the school contacted police. The Post said Matarico wasn't named in the letter.“District protocols are being followed and we remain in cooperation with local authorities. Due to the ongoing investigation by law enforcement, we are unable to disclose additional details about this matter,” the principal wrote, according to the Post.“We understand that some students may be impacted by this incident. Students can always reach out to teachers, counselors or school staff for support,” he added, the paper said.Matarico is in custody on $1.3 million bail.Police are urging any other victims to contact the LAPD's Juvenile Division Abused Child Section at 424-259-7097.
