Tom Hanks Shares The Age He Hated: ‘Your Bones Start Wearing Off’

Tom Hanks has combined a successful Hollywood career with his role as a proud father of four. However, as the actor is nearing the septuagenarian milestone, he is taking a time out to reflect on certain aspects of his life, ranging from career to his family life. Recently, the actor shared is concerns about playing certain characters which remind him of his early adult life. Although the 68-year-old wishes to remain as active as possible as he ages and continues acting, he is not shying away from the reality that it will take a lot of hard work and resilience to play some roles. In a recent discussion with Entertainment Tonight, Hanks reminisced about the age he hated the most. Tom Hanks shared his thoughts on the age he hated the most Tom Hanks/Everett Ideally, one would have thought that playing a character within the 60s and 70s age bracket would be the most challenging; however, Hanks claimed that the “hardest” for him was playing “35,” and he does not hope to do that again. The actor made this surprising revelation during a discussion about his role in his latest movie, Here, where he shared that at that age, “Your metabolism stops, gravity starts tearing you down, your bones start wearing off, you stand differently.”  The actor noted that he is trying is best to stay fit, and enjoy his remaining years as he doesn’t have to bother about his kids who are all “grown up.” Hanks also added that Life was “such a burden” for him at 35 as he had to combine his thriving career with parenting his four kids, but he is in a “better shape now.” Tom Hanks/Everett Tom Hanks’ Hollywood Career Hanks holds the record as the fourth highest grossing American actor and the fifth-highest all-time box office star in North America with a total gross of over $4.9 billion. The actor has a vast experience in acting, writing, and movie production and his awards and recognitions, such as six Academy Award nominations (two consecutive wins) and twelve Primetime Emmy Award nominations (seven wins) is a testament to that. Despite suffering from type 2 diabetes and playing roles that required him to drop significant weight or gain weight throughout is mid to late 30s, he made sure to embodied his role. Looking back at Hank’s experiences and struggles in his early adult years, truly, one can’t blame the legend for hating the age.
