Velshi claimed to be a mind reader who knows what conservatives really think as he began‚ “But this one is important for people to understand‚ because a lot of Americans have been hoodwinked. They think that Claudine Gay is out because she said something anti-Semitic‚ which she didn’t. They think that Claudine Gay is out because she plagiarized‚ she had some inconsistencies in her citations‚ which she reviewed and asked for corrections to and Harvard determined that that was not-- the proper steps were taken. She's out because they came for her.”     He also claimed that “She's out because a very organized group of people‚ very similar to the people that came for you‚ came for her.” Hannah-Jones’s critics are actual experts on the Founders‚ revolutionaries‚ and their relationship with slavery‚ including black women very much on the left side of the spectrum‚ that accuse her of simply being wrong. Yet‚ people like Velshi try to rehabilitate The 1619 Project into something that is merely a different opinion or perspective on American history that is more honest and nuanced. A high-ranking official with the Transportation Security Administration was recently arrested for an outstanding warrant‚ according to Fox News Digital. TSA Assistant Federal Security Director Maxine McManaman was taken into custody in Atlanta by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection on December 28.McManaman had a warrant issued for her arrest by the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office in Florida. The warrant suggested she and an accomplice‚ Delroy Chambers‚ had exploited a relative suffering from dementia by falsifying documents in their name. Details of the warrant were posted to Facebook by the St. Lucie Police Department‚ which stated: "U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Atlanta detained Maxine McManaman‚ the Assistant Federal Security Director of Transportation Security Administration (TSA)‚ after arriving from an international flight on December 28th‚ 2023.""She was later arrested on a PSLPD arrest warrant for one count of Forgery‚ a third-degree felony. She is currently detained at the Clayton County Jail in Georgia awaiting extradition to St. Lucie County."The investigation was kicked off in April after the police reportedly received a call from someone who wanted to report elder abuse. The name of the individual who made the call was not revealed.The authorities in Florida claim that McManaman and Chambers forged signatures on a quitclaim deed‚ thereby transferring ownership of a property in a relative's name over to themselves‚ according to NBC News. The relative whose property was transferred to the duo could not have signed the quitclaim deed‚ since the individual was found to have been in Atlanta during the date listed. Chambers was arrested and charged on December 20 with two counts of exploitation of an elderly and disabled adult‚ simple neglect‚ and two counts of forgery‚ per Fox News Digital. However‚ Chambers has denied the allegations‚ saying "[i]t's a family thing."Additionally‚ McManaman is facing a third-degree felony charge of forgery. McManaman has worked for TSA since 2002 and held a management position at the airport. A TSA spokesperson said that it "holds its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards and has no tolerance for misconduct on or off duty."The spokesperson went on to say that "[a]ny employee who fails to meet our fundamental ethical standards is held accountable."McManaman has been placed on leave pending an investigation by the authorities. The San Diego Police Department recently announced that a woman's body was found crammed into a freezer last month. The woman's body could have been lodged in the freezer for up to nine years‚ according to Fox News Digital.Mary Margaret Haxby-Jones' body‚ who would have been 81 at the time of her discovery‚ was found by family members who were visiting from out of town. The family was apparently visiting a house on Zion Avenue‚ stationed about 10 miles from Downtown San Diego‚ California.Members of the family happened upon the woman's remains after opening a chest freezer. They immediately called the police on December 22‚ around 11:45 a.m. Because the woman's body was discovered in such an unusual place‚ the San Diego Police Homicide Unit was sent to investigate the situation. Haxby-Jones‚ a white female‚ was said to have lived at the residence. The cause of death in the case has not been determined‚ and her remains are currently being investigated by the Medical Examiner's Office‚ according to the San Diego Police Department. There was no obvious evidence of traumatic injury to the body when it was discovered‚ and the case remains under investigation as a suspicious death‚ per the report. The San Diego Police Department suggested that Haxby-Jones could have been stuffed into the freezer nine years ago.The department also suggested that anyone who may have information about the nature of the case should contact the authorities immediately.It's not completely clear who currently lives at the residence on Zion Avenue where the body was discovered. And no suspects have been identified in the case.Former homicide detective Pete Carrillo suggested that investigators would likely be taking a look at the victim's financial records‚ adding that "[i]it's a misappropriation of a dead body‚ you have a duty to call the authorities if someone has passed so they can be processed in a normal fashion.""All that process has been avoided for a particular reason and one could only think that it was to perhaps benefit financially off of not reporting her death."Neighbors who live on the same street were shocked at the news. One woman‚ who wished to remain anonymous‚ said she knew Haxby-Jones‚ but that she couldn't remember the last time she had seen her. The neighbor described the woman as someone who stayed inside a lot."I used to say 'Good morning Mary‚ hello Mary‚ goodbye Mary.' An Alaskan Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a section of the aircraft blew out mid-flight. Following the terrifying incident‚ Alaskan Airlines has taken the precautionary step of grounding its entire fleet of Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft.Dramatic video and photos have emerged from Alaskan Airlines Flight 1282 – which was traveling from Portland International Airport to Ontario‚ California. The Boeing 737-9 Max was transporting six crew members and 171 passengers‚ and took off shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday.The plane was airborne for about 20 minutes until "the crew reported a pressurization issue‚" according to the Federal Aviation Administration.During the flight‚ a section of the plane's fuselage fell off – including the panel's window. Luckily‚ no passengers were sitting in the window seat next to the huge opening. — (@) The sudden damage to the airliner caused cell phones belonging to passengers to be sucked out of the gaping hole in the plane. A child sitting relatively close to the damaged part of the airliner lost his shirt because of the vacuum of the damaged plane. Video shows oxygen masks deployed throughout the plane.A photo of the alarming occurrence was captured by passenger Kyle Rinker. “It was really abrupt. Just got to altitude‚ and the window/wall just popped off and didn’t notice it until the oxygen masks came off‚” Rinker told CNN. So while this type of occurrence is rare‚ our flight crew was trained and prepared to safely manage the situation."Alaskan Airlines grounded its entire fleet of Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft.Alaskan Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci said of the incident: At Alaska Airlines‚ safety is our foundational value and the most important thing we focus on every day. Following tonight’s event on Flight 1282‚ we have decided to take the precautionary step of temporarily grounding our fleet of 65 Boeing 737-9 aircraft. Each aircraft will be returned to service only after completion of full maintenance and safety inspections. We anticipate all inspections will be completed in the next few days.
