MRC President Brent Bozell Endorses Free Speech Champion Brendan Carr for FCC Chairman

MRC Founder and President Brent Bozell said that Commissioner Brendan Carr is the “right person to lead the Federal Communications Commission.” Today, Bozell endorsed free speech champion Commissioner Carr to take the helm of the FCC and encouraged President Trump to appoint Carr as the entity’s Chairman. He “has proven he is more than capable,” Bozell said.  President Trump has ascended to the highest office in America yet again, and with that comes the all-important job of appointing individuals to positions across government.  Bozell detailed the pains through which America has struggled under the previous administration and implored that “[t]his unlawful abuse of power needs to end.” He suggested that this is precisely why Carr is the right man for the job. “It is imperative that the next FCC chairman is committed to restoring the public’s trust, increasing telecommunications access for all communities and protecting the fundamental right to free speech,” said Bozell. “Brendan Carr has proven he is more than capable of accomplishing that task.” Bozell then went on to list three times Carr has been “relentless” in proving his meddle in the “fight for all Americans”: “When Biden’s FCC created a special Soros shortcut to fast-track the acquisition of radio giant Audacy, thereby imperiling millions of Americans’ access to conservative perspectives, Brendan Carr fought back.  “When the FCC declared that it had the power to regulate political speech which utilized artificial intelligence, thereby injecting more chaos and more censorship into an already fraught election, Brendan Carr fought back.  “And when Biden’s FCC decided to retaliate against Starlink because Elon Musk refused to censor Biden’s political opponents, Brendan Carr fought back.” Carr once said what the media has attempted to reject: that “a small group of some of the world’s most powerful corporations exercise complete control over [the] public square.” Bozell encouraged that Carr can be “counted on to fix this.” “Instead of using the FCC to target opponents, censor critics and fast-track even further consolidation of corporate power,” said Bozell, “he will work night and day to ensure that everyone in this incredible nation has a voice.” In conclusion, Bozell made clear how President Trump can begin to dismantle the Biden-Harris administration’s weaponization of government. “[Trump] can start by placing Brendan Carr at the helm of the FCC,” said Bozell. Scott Jennings Completely BREAKS CNN Panel, Multiple Meltdowns Ensue

The left is still early into the multiple stages of grief resulting from the election of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. The most recent panel discussion on CNN’s NewsNight with Abby Phillips put that post-electoral Trump derangement for the whole world to see. Consider this exchange as the panel discussed the appointment of Susie Wiles as White House Chief of Staff, how the panelists just veer off into January 6th, and how Jennings HANDLES Catherine Rampell of The Washington Post (click “expand” to view the relevant portions of the transcript): "You still don't understand how you lost." @ScottJenningsKY SCHOOLS Catherine Rampell and other panel libs on what the actual Trump campaign was about. pic.twitter.com/oDO4EYmok5 — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) November 8, 2024 SCOTT JENNINGS: Just to go back to Susie (Wiles) for a second. The fact that he got to this first, and the fact that she is going to have influence over how the rest of the transition unfolds whether it’s picking Attorney General or any of these other high-level positions. I think- I think we ought to all look at this as a wise decision, a good decision, and for everybody out there wanting Trump to pivot or change or somehow- whatever you want him to do...  CATHERINE RAMPELL: Respect the rule of law.  JENNINGS: You just won a mandate from the American people to execute on the program that he laid out in this election. It wasn't particularly close. And I think you ought to put people in place who are going to do it. That’s what the people asked for RAMPELL: Who will go after his enemies? I mean, that’s- that’s- JENNINGS: That’s not what he ran on.  (CROSSTALK) RAMPELL: He said in the past week- he literally said that he was going to exact vengeance. JENNINGS: You still don't understand how you lost. He ran on immigration… RAMPELL: Don’t say me. I’m not a Democrat. I’m a journalist. … JULIE ROGINSKY: Scott, if you believe that people who violated the Capitol on January 6th committed a crime, which I hope you would because they weren’t invited in the way they claim they were, right? They were not there- didn’t go through security the way the rest of us have to to get into the Capitol. They were prosecuted. They were convicted. And now they are serving jail time. He has said repeatedly that they are political prisoners and he is going to spring them, right? What does that tell you about how he is going to weaponize the Justice Department, and on whose behalf? On behalf of people who committed crimes for him. For him. Not for anybody else. RAMPELL: I mean, I admire your- I didn't know if I want to call it your naiveté or optimism that Trump is going to run on the policies you care about, about deregulation and tax cuts and whatnot. That‘s just not what his campaign was about. That’s not what he has indicated he’s going to do… JENNINGS: Well. With all due respect, I’ve run more campaigns than you and I know what campaigns are about and I know why people walk into voting booths and you’re totally wrong. RAMPELL: Why walk into voting booths and what Trump plans to do when handed the presidency are two different things. Then there's this exchange with comic Pete Dominick who, based on his performance, appears to be a Regime comic. That is, unfunny and preachy. Jennings had to stop and thoroughly SCHOOL Dominick over the exact moment in which President Joe Biden’s polls began to crater: the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan (click “expand” to view transcript): Comic @PeteDominick has a meltdown when confronted by @ScottJenningsKY and @coldxman with the reality of Joe Biden's disastrous Afghanistan pullout pic.twitter.com/YOAC2fAAoE — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) November 8, 2024 PETE DOMINICK: I just came from an event where I was hosting this event tonight for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans of America. And I love how people just tuned in to care about veterans during the pullout like that was, like, the worst, it---  ABBY PHILLIP: I just have to say- Seth Moulton is a veteran. DOMINICK: I understand. And I think that the idea that Joe Biden had the courage to do what no other president, including Barack Obama who surged in Afghanistan, and those- how was it-13 or 16 people who died in that . Thousands of other veterans died as a result of Republican policies. These were Republican policies, these wars. So I- mean a lot of people feel that way about that horrible day in Afghanistan- and things around it- but- PHILLIP: It did create, though- there was a drop in support that they never… (CROSSTALK) JENNINGS: Look. Look. If you look at the arc of the Biden presidency, he was in really good shape until August of 2021. When Afghanistan happened he went under 40, she went under 40 and they lived there until the end of the presidency. He’s still there. DOMINICK: Why? Why? JENNINGS: Because he ran and told us that the adults were back in charge. And that was the opposite.  DOMINICK: They were. Because Donald Trump is a child. JENNINGS: And you know what else? And you know what else? The fact that they would not give these 13 service members' families the time of day. DOMINICK: Bullshit, dude. I am sorry, but Donald Trump hates veterans. He called them “suckers and losers”. He did. He absolutely despised- he has his whole life. HE has his entire life. JENNINGS: I know you are super emotional. I just- DOMINICK: Of course I am. I’m terrified. JENNINGS: I’m telling you. The political reality is that when they made the decision… DOMINICK: It doesn’t matter. (CROSSTALK) DOMINICK: …deny a man, Chief John Kelly, a Marine, you deny- you say he lied… JENNINGS: You’re still campaigning. It’s over, brother. DOMINICK: It’s not over. It’ll never be over. You wish. CROSSTALK) JENNINGS: The political reality is, when they made that decision and everyone realized, “Oh, my gosh, These aren’t the competent adults that we were promised… DOMINICK: Oh yeah, Donald Trump does. Right. JENNINGS: And then, when you pile on top of it the decisions that made inflation worse, it was a compounding interest of political crap over time that they could never get out of. And that's how she lost the race. COLEMAN HUGHES: There was a bipartisan consensus to get out of Afghanistan. That wasn’t the point. It’s the way it was done. (CROSSTALK) HUGHES: It was the implementation. It was the fact they took out our soldiers first instead of last, which is- you think would be common sense. And again, it’s like you said. We thought the adults were in the room. That’s why people voted for Biden. A return to normalcy. Return to competence. He’s a lifelong public servant. We thought, “we’re going to get normal, we’re going to get competence. DOMINICK: We did. HUGHES: And that’s what- that’s what it’s about. DOMINICK: We did. And if- the veterans’ community HUGHES: Afghanistan doesn’t signal that. Afghanistan- DOMINICK: The wars- the wars in Afghanistan, war in Iraq, the Republican policies that led to those wars- the idea that Joe Biden made the final, difficult decision- and his administration- and his military leaders. I think you guys live on the tippy-top of Bullshit Mountain if you actually think that so many people think that the pullout of Afghanistan was the pivot point? Are you kidding me?  I regret to inform you that the pullout of Afghanistan was, in fact, the pivot point wherein the American people lost confidence in the Biden Administration. There is no disputing the point that @ScottJenningsKY made last night on @abbydphillip about the moment Biden's approval cratered. The last time Biden's approval was above water in the RCP average was 8/19/21, a full week before the Abbey Gate bombing. pic.twitter.com/oF3b1chNhR — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) November 8, 2024 It got so salty and petty that the panel wouldn’t even let Jennings do his final word on Generation X delivering the election to Donald Trump (click “expand” to view full transcript): .@ScottJenningsKY so thoroughly broke the panel that they jumped in to rebut his "Gen X returned Trump to The White House" take pic.twitter.com/AAGUeB1OS5 — Jorge Bonilla (@BonillaJL) November 8, 2024 JENNINGS: Well, here’s some truth. Gen X has delivered Donald Trump to The White House. My people, who came before the internet- you people, too. Before we bubble-wrapped society. We shrug off most things. We aren’t sure why everyone is offended by everything. We’re all Hulkamaniacs. We took the reins of this election… DOMINICK: No. RAMPELL: No, we’re not. JENNINGS: …to steer America back on track and out of the BS. We love rebels, we love innovators, we love disruptors. Does this sound like anyone you know? From Gen X, the message is clear: we’re not putting up with it anymore, so you are welcome, America. PHILLIP: All right, lots of disagreement. DOMINICK: You don’t speak for Gen X. I prefer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and any wrestler who’s not Donald Trump. Hulk Hogan used the “N” word, just to say… Performances like these are what have earned Jennings his reputation as the human version of the cat in the salad meme, and have fueled grassroots calls for his appointment as White House Press Secretary. One thing’s for sure: “Lonely Scott” sure has made CNN more interesting.

Charlie Kirk pledges to Glenn Beck to seek full pardon for Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker, others

Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, told Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck that he would seek to obtain a full pardon for Blaze News investigative journalist Steve Baker. Kirk made the comments while calling in on Beck's radio show Friday. 'Every nonviolent Jan. 6 offender, I'm gonna push — and President Trump has pledged — to give them full and complete pardons.' "The lawfare stuff is not completely over, and I will say this, as somebody who is helping out with transition, I'm doing everything we possibly can, that the most important appointment that is coming, is who [President-elect Donald Trump] will choose for attorney general of the United States. That right there will set the tone for the entire presidency from lawfare, from the investigations, from the weaponization of the FBI," Kirk said. "And also Glenn, I will push, with every fiber of my being, for your Blaze journalist to get a full pardon, and this entire show-trial of him to get dropped," he added. "Thank you," Beck responded. "It is craziness. Thank you." "It is crazy. And I can't remember his name, but he is phenomenal." "Steve Baker," Beck said. Baker has been hounded by the Department of Justice for trespassing and other charges related to his reporting of the rioting of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 after the 2020 election. He has pleaded not guilty and argues that other journalists and photographers have not been prosecuted as he has. Kirk went on to explain other steps Trump could take to undermine the deep state in the government. "And by the way, every nonviolent Jan. 6 offender, I'm gonna push — and President Trump has pledged — to give them full and complete pardons and commute their sentences, on the nonviolent ones," he said. "I think that's a huge statement and a demoralization event for the deep state that's spent so much of their time and their careers going after everyday Americans who did absolutely nothing wrong," Kirk continued. "And I think we have to lead with that. I think we have to push for hundreds of pardons. And I know that sounds extreme." He went on to opine that the founders would have been pleased at this use of the pardon power they wrote into the Constitution for the executive branch of the government. In response to Kirk's pledge, Baker told Blaze News: "I’m honored and grateful that Charlie remembers my case, and any help he can provide to myself and the other nonviolent J6 defendants in bringing this political lawfare to a final conclusion is greatly appreciated by all of us." Baker's case is set to go to trial on Nov. 12. Here's more about the lawfare against Blaze Media journalist Steve Baker: Like Blaze News? EU signals desperation to avoid trade war with Trump, desire to buy American gas

President-elect Donald Trump is still months away from taking office, yet the European Union already appears desperate to cut a deal with him. Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, addressed members of the European Council in Budapest, Hungary, Friday, signaling a desire to avoid a trade war with the United States and to switch from Russian to American gas. When asked how she intends to negotiate with Trump on trade, Leyen answered, "I think first of all: Engage. Very important what we have started yesterday." Leyen was referencing her phone call with Trump Thursday, where she apparently congratulated him on his landslide electoral victory. The German politician noted on X that they discussed defense, Ukraine, trade, and energy. "Secondly, discuss about common interests. And there are common interests that we have," continued Leyen. "Then go into negotiations." 'They are going to have to pay a big price.' Leyen said that liquid natural gas was among the common interests she briefly discussed with Trump this week, noting that Europe still gets "a lot of LNG via Russia, from Russia." According to the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis, in the first half of 2024, Europe sourced 48% of its LNG imports from U.S., 16% from Russia, 11% from Algeria, 10% from Qatar, and 4% from Nigeria and Norway. "Why not replace it by American LNG, which is cheaper for us and brings down our energy prices?" said Leyen. "It's something where we can get into a discussion, also [where] our trade deficit is concerned." The U.S. Census Bureau indicated Tuesday that the trade deficit with the EU in September was $23.8 billion, contributing to the year-to-date trade deficit of $173 billion. Trump indicated in October that the EU would have to "pay a big price" for not buying enough American exports, reported Reuters. "I'll tell you what, the European Union sounds so nice, so lovely, right? All the nice European little countries that get together," said Trump. "They don't take our cars. They don't take our farm products. They sell millions and millions of cars in the United States. No, no, no, they are going to have to pay a big price." Politico noted that Leyen's maneuver to dodge the steep tariffs of 10% or more that Trump has threatened by promising to buy LNG is largely political theater granted the European Commission is virtually powerless when it comes to dictating European companies' purchases of gas. "The EU doesn't buy LNG — there's a global LNG market and LNG buyers have their own contract," Laurent Ruseckas, executive director for gas markets at commodities giant S&P Global, told Politico. "It's certainly possible to do a memorandum of understanding to talk about increasing purchases but ultimately in the past that's been a way to put a political wrapper around something that was delivered by the market. And the EU is buying as much LNG currently as the market needs." Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

Trump's win already shrinks thousands-strong migrant caravan

Donald Trump's Tuesday presidential victory against Vice President Kamala Harris is already having a positive impact on illegal immigration, even months before his official inauguration. In October, Blaze News reported that thousands of foreign nationals were making their way through Mexico, hoping to cross into the United States before an administration change. 'They're already self-pre-deporting. WE ARE SO BACK!!!'At the time, Luis Garcia Villagran, director of the Tapachula-based Center for Human Dignity, told a local news outlet, "As we speak, 40,000 to 45,000 migrants, 30% from the Middle East and Africa, are stuck and trying to leave for the United States before the end of the year."On Thursday, Reuters reported that a 3,000-strong caravan headed toward the U.S.-Mexico border had shrunk by nearly half after Trump clinched the presidency. Trump has vowed to make curbing illegal immigration one of his highest priorities, pledging mass deportation efforts. According to Reuters, after hearing about Trump's victory, many of those in the caravan "felt less hopeful about their chance at a new life in the United States."Valerie Andrade, a Venezuelan national, told the news outlet, "I had hoped [Kamala Harris] would win, but that didn't happen."Others who remained in the caravan stated that they hope the Biden-Harris administration's CBP One app will allow them to book an asylum appointment at the border before Trump is inaugurated. During a Monday rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, Trump sent a message to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum."I'm going to inform [Mexico's president] on day one or sooner that if they don't stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I'm going to immediately impose a 25% tariff on everything they send into the United States of America," Trump told his supporters."If that doesn't work," he continued, "I'll make it 50%; if that doesn't work, I'll make it 75%. Then I'll make it 100%."Real America's Voice correspondent Oscar Ramirez noted that since Trump's win, the Mexican government has taken a more proactive role in deterring migrants from heading to the U.S. border. He added that he still anticipates there will be an increase in illegal immigration in the final months of Joe Biden's presidency as foreign nationals try to enter before Trump gets into office. Donald Trump Jr. reacted to the news that the massive caravan had dropped to roughly 1,600 individuals. "They're already self-pre-deporting. WE ARE SO BACK!!!" he wrote on X. Like Blaze News?
