LAST GRASP OF THE ELITES: The Real Problem With 2024 Was Social Media Censorship, Leftists Say

American corporate media suffered a monumental rebuke Tuesday as Americans ignored them and elected Donald Trump as the nation’s next president. How have the outlets responded? By calling for the government to censor their opposition, of course, and whining about how people aren’t listening to them anymore. That’s been the theme on major network television shows as the dust settles on President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, which will send him back to the White House on Jan. 20. Here’s PBS’ White House news correspondent, Laura Barrón-López, saying on CNN that the reason Democrats lost so badly is in part because “there is an entire right-wing media ecosystem that doesn’t exist on the left and it does not exist in the center or mainstream.” No self awareness! @lbarronlopez, a correspondent for PBS, while on CNN, blamed Kamala Harris loss on how “there is an entire right wing media ecosystem that doesn’t exist on the left and it does not exist in the center or mainstream.” pic.twitter.com/QKPjTGHhvO— Brent Baker ?? ?? (@BrentHBaker) November 7, 2024 Wait, who is mainstream? Wouldn’t that be the guy who won one of the largest landslide victories in a presidential race in 40 years, Barrón-López? Barrón-López also complained that these new media platforms were “reaching Americans where they are, regardless of age and demographic … whether it was misinformation or disinformation or propaganda.” Oh, how terrible: reaching people where they are, regardless of their demographic. It was notable that the CNN analysts and hosts in the segment all nodded along with her. It gets worse. CNN commentator Van Jones called for “regulation” of social media platforms. CNN host Van Jones calls for social media regulations over Elon Musks close relationship with Trump. “I think in a normal country we would say, hold on a second, we need to have a different set of regulations for social media platforms.” pic.twitter.com/hxt0zXPIAo— Oli London (@OliLondonTV) November 7, 2024 How many CNN program hosts and hosts on other networks have worked directly for Democrat presidential administrations? They don’t seem to have a problem with that. MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle delivered a salty monologue about how awful it is that Americans now get their information on the social media platform X rather than accept whatever narrative the traditional networks force-feed viewers. “We have now let misinformation become the accepted information,” Rhule said, angrily. “It is washed over us. Elon Musk buys Twitter and then uses it almost exclusively to be a propaganda machine. And we’ve accepted it.” Musk renamed Twitter as X in July 2023. Using extremely online lingo, Rhule then said: “America has just decided that we’re going to f**k around and find out.” For the most hysterical and tyrannical take of all, we turn to ABC’s “The View” co-host Sarah Haines, who said the real lesson of the election is that Congress should have stepped in and censored information on social media. Harris would’ve won “if we could regulate social media.”pic.twitter.com/Xfm9537W1F— Breaking911 (@Breaking911) November 6, 2024 The first thing I’d like to note here is the tone of this message. According to the ladies of “The View” and much of the left-wing commentariat, Trump and his Republican Party are literal fascists who want to end democracy. That was the last-minute pitch by the Harris-Walz campaign, which many in the media happily echoed and promoted—as they have for basically the last decade. Here’s media darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., saying that we’ are’re entering an era of “authoritarianism and fascism.” AOC: "We are about to enter a period of fascism and authoritarianism" pic.twitter.com/VDkyeB99zz— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) November 7, 2024 If Democrat politicians and their media allies truly believe that, one would think they’d all avoid saying right now on public platforms, “You know, the real problem is the government isn’t censoring people into silence.” Maybe they’d even say, “Hey, it’s really important to protect the freedom of speech for all Americans, even the ones who disagree with us.” But nope. Instead, they continue to demand that the government step in and make their opponents shut up. What this says to me is that they don’t actually believe their nonsense about Trump being the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler. Even after this election, they don’t actually think Trump or his supporters will step in and silence them, as they want to silence others. Clearly, left-wing cultural elites have a kind of general comfort that in the end, they control government and institutions. What they apparently define as “fascism” is being prevented from using their power to control society. Fascism is simply saying “Don’t tread on me” and meaning it. My second big takeaway is that the Left’s post-election calls to “censor them, censor the fascists!” is a good indicator of what was at stake in this election and how much has changed since 2020. Musk’s decision to acquire Twitter has been entirely justified. Until quite recently the Left didn’t just control the corporate, legacy media. They owned social media too. As the “Twitter Files” exposed, social media platforms coordinated with government agencies and corporate entities to censor and manipulate information. Remember, in the weeks before the 2020 election, Twitter and Facebook literally suppressed and even blocked links to the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story, which turned out to be true. Then something incredible happened. Musk stepped in and bought Twitter, now X. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say that Musk made a world-changing decision. It’s clear that many on the left knew this would begin a sea change. By losing control of X to someone who merely wouldn’t censor the opposition, the Left lost the ability to control most of the information that reaches not just Americans but people the world over. The remaining left-wing governments clearly see this as a threat and in many cases have tried to limit and in some cases outright shut down X or any platform that could be used to promote a message they don’t like. Fortunately, here in America we have something called the First Amendment that protects the God-given right to free speech. But don’t think that will prevent leftist leaders from playing their hand to try to circumvent the Constitution. With the results of Tuesday’s election, that effort—at least here in the United States—is far more likely to be derailed. It was a stunning and total rebuke to any kind of censorship regime taking hold in America. Perhaps now media across the board will have to go to the American people “where they are,” and won’t be able to pin their hopes on having the government swoop in and regulate the competition out of existence. Maybe now some genuine confidence can be restored in journalism, albeit in a media landscape that looks far different from the one that’s hit a historic low point in trust. The legacy media’s time has come. A new age is set to begin, and that’s a great thing for genuine democracy. Medicinal Uses For Weeds Commonly Found Around Your Home – Part 4

In Medicinal Uses For Weeds Commonly Found Around Your Home – Part 1, I went over the medicinal properties of three extremely beneficial wild plants: purslane, ground ivy, and chickweed. In  Part 2, I went over the medicinal properties of four additional beneficial wild plants: thistle, wild violet, hairy bitterness, and prickly lettuce. Part 3 covered the medicinal properties of four more additional beneficial wild plants: lamb’s quarters, mallow, stinging nettle, and chicory. All of these plants have one thing in common – they can usually be found close to or around your home. Today, I’ll go over the medicinal uses for four more wild plants that can be found close to or around your home: henbit, curly dock, garlic mustard, and amaranth. Word of caution… As I did in part one and two, I would like to share with you two articles which include information on safety precautions you need to be aware of when foraging for wild, edible, plants. In my article, Foraging Tips for the 7 Most Common Edible Plants, I share great tips on things to consider and to look out for when you forage for any and all wild, edible plants. Another great article, “Need To Know” Rules When Picking Edible & Medicinal Plants, is written by Mykel Hawke, star of Discovery’s “Man, Woman, Wild”. He also talks about considerations and safety precautions to take when foraging in the wild. I sincerely encourage you to read these articles if you have never foraged for wild and edible plants. Foraging can be a great experience but, safety precautions are a must! Let’s get started! Medicinal Uses For Weeds Commonly Found Henbit (Lamium amplexicaule) As a child, this was one of my favorite wild flowers to pick. I just loved the small purplish blooms on the top! I remember bringing in a little bouquet of henbit every time I would pick them. My Mom would put them in a small glass of water and they usually sat in the window sill above the kitchen sink. Little did I know then that I was picking a medicinal plant! Henbit belongs to the mint family but, does not have a minty scent. This plant is covered in very fine hairs pointing downward. The stems are green but can turn a purplish color as it ages. The tiny purplish blooms of henbit are on the top and closely resemble the shape of an orchid bloom when their tiny blooms open. The leaves have scalloped like edges and are arranged opposite of each other in pairs. Henbit can grow between 10-30 cm high. This edible and medicinal plant is high in iron, various vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. It possesses anti-rheumatic, diaphoretic, laxative, and stimulant properties. The edible parts of this plant are the stems, leaves, and flowers. Henbit can be eaten raw and cooked. Some use dried henbit as a tea. You can add raw henbit to salads, soups, and green smoothies. Some say the taste of henbit resembles the taste of kale. Curly Dock (Rumex Crispus) Also known as yellow dock, the flowers are green, sometimes with a touch of red. The flowers do not have petals and grow in clusters. Each flower contains a seed which will eventually turn brown Curly dock is rich in protein, magnesium, iron, vitamins A and C, and bioflavonoids. All parts of this plant are useful but, the roots of this plant possess the strongest medicinal properties. The edible parts and medicinal value of curly dock: Leaves in very small quantities are edible (until flower spikes appear). The leaves can be cooked as long as they are green. The leaves can also be added to stews, soups, and salads. The inner portions of the stems are edible and can be eaten raw or cooked. To get to the inner portion of the stem just peel the outer layer of the stem. The seeds of curly dock can be eaten raw or cooked but, only once they turn brown. Seeds can also be a substitute for coffee. The roots of curly dock possess the most medicinal properties. The roots are best boiled to make a tea. The tea acts as a detoxifier for your liver, is great for skin ailments, and possesses laxative properties which helps to cleanse toxins from the digestive system. Used as first aid, the powder of dried curly dock roots can be made into a poultice and applied directly to your skin to heal wounds, itching, inflammations, and eczema. Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata) The leaves of this beautiful plant are green and shiny. The leaves also have a slight ‘mustardy’ type scent. The flowers are tiny white blooms The whole plant is edible and can be eaten raw or you can dry the plant and make it into a powder which makes a great spice to use for cooking. Garlic mustard possesses antibacterial and antiseptic properties. It is also loaded  with vitamin A and C. Consumption of garlic mustard treats a number of ailments such as asthma, bronchitis, ulcers, gangrene, and eczema. Amaranth (Amaranthus) This edible and medicinal plant has greenish (sometimes purplish) colored flowers with a red stem. The amaranth is high in protein and 2 essential amino acids. | – Part 4″ width=”625″ height=”469″ /> The whole plant is edible. It can be eaten raw or steamed. The seeds of the amaranth plant can be used to make flour or even added to smoothies. Seeds are better when they are soaked overnight. The roots can be boiled or roasted. Boiled amaranth roots are a great potato alternative. Do not consume if you are pregnant or nursing. This plant has been used to treat symptoms of the stomach flu including diarrhea. It has also been used to treat symptoms of gastroenteritis. This plant has a TOXIC look alike called hairy nightstand. The leaves of the hairy nightstand plant look the same but, the stem is hairy and the blooms are white. **Information within this article is for informational purposes only. The BEST line from Trump’s victory speech by far was ...

Like many Americans, Pat Gray, Jeffy, and Keith Malinak are breathing a little easier following Donald Trump’s victory because his win means hope for our country. Trump really captured that feeling of hope in his speech following his historical victory over Kamala Harris. “I will fight for you, for your family, and your future. Every single day, I will be fighting for you. And with every breath in my body, I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the Golden Age of America,” he said to a roaring crowd. He also brought attention to the monumental achievement of his victory made possible by his supporters. “It’s a political victory that our country has never seen before. ... I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 45th president,” he said. His speech also addressed Republicans taking the Senate. “America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate — we have taken back control of the Senate. Wow, that’s good. ... The Senate races in Montana, Nevada, Texas, Ohio, ... Wisconsin, the great commonwealth of Pennsylvania were all won by the MAGA movement,” he added. “Yeah!” yells Pat, who can’t contain his excitement. However, the line that perhaps resonated the most with his supporters was when Trump said, “We don’t have to live like this anymore.” “That was a great line. So good,” says Pat. “That really resonated, and I loved it,” adds Jeffy. To hear more highlights from Trump’s victory speech, watch the clip above. Michigan Democrat — arrested for allegedly sexting underage boy in sting operation — wins re-election in landslide

A Michigan Democrat won re-election in a landslide despite resigning from his office two months ago after he was arrested for allegedly sexting an underage boy.Ken Fletcher had been the supervisor in Delta Township, which is about 10 minutes west of Lansing. Fletcher resigned Sept. 3 — a day before he faced child sex crime charges.Law enforcement agents reportedly were 'posing as a 15-year-old male on the mobile dating app Grindr from Aug. 13 to Aug. 14' in order to talk to Fletcher. Township Manager Brian Reed said Fletcher resigned "effective immediately" during the township board meeting, and the board accepted his resignation. Reed added that the "township has also been made aware of an open criminal investigation unrelated to his duties as supervisor."In the recent election, Fletcher received nearly 89% of the vote. He was opposed by two write-in candidates — Saturn Wells, who received just over 11% of the vote, and Richard Ott who did not receive any votes. Fletcher was arrested Sept. 4 and charged with accosting a child for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime; he pleaded not guilty to the two felonies and was released on bond.Fletcher, 58, was caught in a sting operation, according to police. He allegedly thought he was talking to a 15-year-old boy on Grindr — the self-proclaimed "world's largest social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people" — when cops reportedly were posing a teen boy.WILX-TV obtained documents claiming Fletcher "engaged in an undercover chat with Detective Scheib with the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office." Law enforcement agents reportedly were "posing as a 15-year-old male on the mobile dating app Grindr from Aug. 13 to Aug. 14" in order to talk to Fletcher. The outlet noted that Fletcher "continued to send enticing messages and expressed that he was willing to meet the 15-year-old boy at the Lansing Mall for the purpose of 'just talking.'"Fletcher was kept on the ballot due to state election law.Fletcher can accept or decline the office until Jan. 1, 2025.The New York Post reported that Fletcher’s lawyer, Michael Nichols, said his client was “pleasantly surprised” by the election results. Nichols wondered to WILX, “The biggest question I think for Ken Fletcher is — is this the right thing for not just me but for the community? Am I still the best person for the job?” Delta Township Clerk Mary Clark — who has been serving as interim supervisor since Fletcher resigned — said, "There are three choices on his part, and so it’s really kind of presumptive of us to act or decide to act in a certain way before we know what is happening with that position."Clark added, “He can vacate the office if he does not get sworn in by then; he could get sworn in and resign, or obviously he could get sworn in and stay.”Fletcher is scheduled to return to court Nov. 12. So, erm, where the heck is Ark 2?

From Once Human, to Palworld, to Enshrouded, it’s been a pretty awesome year for new survival games. While existing juggernauts of the genre also remain popular, the class of 2024 is a strong one but there seems to be one student that’s flunking. Still technically billed to be launching by the end of this year, Ark 2 is not just a sequel to one of the biggest survival games around, but a transformational sequel at that - so where the heck is it?
