Vance, Walz Visit Same Wisconsin City In Rival Campaign Appearances

Vice presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz visited the same Wisconsin city on Monday to make their final pitch to voters in the Badger State.  The rival candidates both spent the morning in La Crosse, a city of around 51,000, to urge their supporters to show up big on Election Day. Former President Donald Trump currently leads Vice President Kamala Harris in Wisconsin 48.6%-48.4%, according to an average of 88 polls from the state.  Vance spoke at the La Crosse Center Monday morning before heading out for a campaign stop in Michigan.  “This is actually my last visit to the state of Wisconsin for this election, but that’s OK,” Vance said. “I promise I will come back as your vice president of the United States because we’re going to win this thing.”  During his speech, Vance jabbed at rival Walz for having to defend the record of Harris. “And I want you to spare a prayer for Governor Tim Walz,” Vance said. “I don’t think any of us have had the kind of day that Tim Walz is going to have today where he’s got to go around and convince the American people that Kamala Harris can be the president of the United States. That’s tough work.” Vance also spoke about the terrible jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that found the economy added just 12,000 jobs in October, pointing out that many of the jobs gains were in the government sector. “[Kamala Harris] created jobs for bureaucrats while all of our neighbors and friends are struggling in this economy. And I’ve got to tell you when Donald Trump is president, we’re going to get back to a golden age of American prosperity.”  Shortly after Vance spoke, Walz spoke at The Main event space in La Crosse to address backers of Harris’ campaign “This is a generational opportunity for us to turn the page for us to take this momentum going forward,” he said. “This election, quite literally, could be won through the state of Wisconsin, and it could be won right here through La Crosse.” Walz also talked about the economy, claiming that a Harris administration would lower inflation.  “Every single day we will be focused on lowering the cost of living for middle-class folks and putting more money back in the pockets again of middle-class folks,” he said. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Wisconsin Team Trump Communications Director Jacob Fischer blasted Harris’ economic policies on Monday in a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.  “After four years of Kamalanomics, Wisconsin households have spent nearly $28,000 more due to historic inflation. If given four more years, Kamala Harris is proposing the largest tax hike in history,” he said. “Meanwhile, President Trump is proposing to help hard-working Wisconsinites with commonsense policies like No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Social Security, No Tax on Overtime, tax credits for caregivers and children, and tax credits for new farming equipment.” Wisconsin was decided by around 20,000 votes in both 2020 and 2016. Cygnal pollster Brent Buchanan told The Daily Wire’s “Morning Wire” podcast on Monday that he believes Wisconsin will be the most likely “Blue Wall” state to break in Trump’s favor.

What Trump And Kamala Campaigns Are Saying About Their Internal Data In The Final Stretch

The presidential campaigns of former President Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris touted bullish takeaways from internal data in the final stretch of the 2024 campaign, but each side appears to be focused on different trends. As public polls signaled a close race on Monday, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt made an appearance on Fox Business and said early voters in swing states are leaning toward the GOP ticket. “Our internal polls have President Trump leading in every key battleground state,” Leavitt said. “We are cautiously optimistic about a big victory tomorrow night as long as everyone turns out to vote.” .@kleavittnh: Our internal polls have President Trump leading in every key battleground state. We are cautiously optimistic about a big victory tomorrow night as long as everyone turns out to vote. ? pic.twitter.com/Rhust5N1no — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) November 4, 2024 Leavitt added that “early voting trends” indicate that people are going to the polls and the numbers seem to favor Republicans in “every” swing state. She also suggested Democrats are struggling in certain areas, as “urban turnout is down compared to what it was in 2020” and “female turnout for Kamala Harris is down compared to those that turned out early for Joe Biden” in the 2020 election. Leavitt concluded that “all signs point to a victory tomorrow night, but we’re not taking our foot off the gas. President Trump has four rallies in battleground states today. And we need everyone to get out and vote.” Two senior advisors similarly told The Daily Wire that they are “cautiously optimistic” about the election. As it turns out, Harris’ campaign is also feeling “cautiously optimistic,” NBC News Washington Correspondent Yamiche Alcindor reported over the weekend. “Senior Harris campaign officials say their internal data show they are winning battleground voters who have made up their minds in the last week by double digits,” Alcindor added. “Still, Harris is doing everything possible to avoid the Blue Wall crumbling like it did in 2016,” she continued, and therefore Harris was campaigning in the swing state of Michigan. Alcindor said a Harris aide told her they have a “big operation” focused on Dearborn, which has a large Muslim community, amid uncertainty about whether they will turn away from the VP this election because of conflict in Gaza. On Friday, RealClearPolitics reporter Philip Wegmann said on X a senior Harris campaign official claimed Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden “crystalized” the choice of swing state voters who made up their mind to back the VP in the last week.

Migrants With Vicious Tren De Aragua Gang Arrested In Execution-Style Murder, Child Kidnapping

Three illegal migrants with the brutal Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang have been arrested for allegedly executing a man with a gun and kidnapping two children in Texas, authorities said. Carl Luis Zambrano-Bolivar, 26, Jhonata Nahin Toro Gonzalez, 22, and Ehiker Morales Mendoza, 38, were all arrested in recent weeks, the Department of Homeland Security’s Dallas investigations office said in a Friday release. The three men were wanted for the murder of Nilzuly Enrique Arneaud-Petit, 33, who was found dead in August with a single gunshot wound to the head in Farmer’s Branch just outside Dallas. A passing driver notified the police about Petit’s body lying in the street on August 24 shortly before 4 a.m. Detectives were also notified that two children possibly related to the victim were walking on a nearby service road. Police caught up with the children and learned that Petit and the two minors had been “forcibly taken by several unknown suspects from an apartment complex” in Dallas around 12:30 a.m., the Farmers Branch Police Department said. The suspects drove Petit and the two children in a light-colored four-door sedan to the location where Petit was fatally shot in the head, police said. They continued driving with the two children before releasing them unharmed on the service road. Authorities learned that Petit was an “associate” of the suspects and was allegedly involved in a “complex ATM theft operation targeting several locations nationwide,” the police department said. The suspects accused him of withholding some of the stolen money, and when he did not provide it, he was kidnapped along with the two children, according to authorities. All three suspects are “documented members of Tren de Aragua” and are expected to be sent back to Texas to face prosecution for murder and aggravated kidnapping, authorities said. Two of the men were arrested by immigration authorities in Aurora, Colorado, while the third was apprehended in New Mexico. A fourth Tren de Aragua gang member, Jhonny Jesus Martinez Serrano, 29, is also wanted in connection with the murder but remains at large. “Violent criminal organizations and transnational gangs like Tren de Aragua are a plague upon our communities that rely on fear and violence to reign terror on hardworking and law-abiding residents,” said Travis Pickard, the acting Special Agent in Charge at Homeland Security’s Dallas investigations office. “By coming together as a law enforcement community to successfully locate and arrest these fugitives across state lines, we have sent a resounding message that we are united in our efforts to dismantle these violent criminal networks and put an end to the lawlessness that they spread,” Pickard said. The announcement of the arrests comes just days before Election Day on Tuesday. Illegal immigration has been one of the driving issues this election cycle, especially for former President Donald Trump, who has promised to close the border.

Controversial MAGA Hat Sparks Debate on Electioneering Laws in Hamilton Township

A New Jersey woman’s defiant act at a polling precinct in Hamilton Township raises questions about voters’ freedom of political expression. What is being expressed is unclear. But it’s something. Incident Sparks Debate on Electioneering Laws A voter in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, made headlines after opting to cast her ballot while wearing only her bra. This came after election officials asked her to remove political items like a MAGA hat and pro-Trump apparel due to state electioneering laws prohibiting political endorsements within 100 feet of polling locations. She voiced her frustration with election workers using profanities and finished voting before law enforcement could respond. These laws aim to maintain a neutral voting environment. Jill Moyer, chairperson of the Mercer County Board of Elections, reflected on the situation, saying, “I asked her to remove her hat and said if you want to go get a jacket from your car, I will hold your place in line or you could go into the bathroom to turn the shirt inside out.” You can’t wear political clothing at the polls, so this woman voted in her bra https://t.co/ynQm6QYkQ9 — njdotcom (@njdotcom) October 30, 2024 Ensuring Neutrality in Voting Environments The unusual event came during early voting at the Colonial Fire House. The lady reportedly responded to the requirement for a neutral voting environment by quickly removing her shirt and calling officials unpleasant names. Despite being offered options, she chose a public statement over compliance, highlighting a point of contention regarding voter rights and polling site rules. She asserted her choice to vote for Trump with strong language and actions before departing. Despite the controversy, New Jersey law clearly prohibits such electioneering within the perimeter of polling stations. Although the woman left before law enforcement arrived, her actions sparked debates over where personal liberties intersect with regulations designed to protect the democratic process. New Jersey Woman Votes in Bra After Being Told to Ditch MAGA Gear https://t.co/17YP5b8d4e — Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) November 3, 2024 Impact on Political Landscape The incident embodies an aspect of the polarized political climate we currently face. It illustrates the clash between enforcing non-partisanship in voting contexts and maintaining individuals’ freedom of expression. Addressing such challenges requires continued dialogue to resolve how state laws can fairly balance these interests. Observers argue that the action at Hamilton Township, while extreme, emphasizes the need to navigate these complex intersections thoughtfully. Whether this clash will lead to potential adjustments in electoral regulations remains uncertain, but it certainly places electoral policies under public scrutiny. The balance between election neutrality and expression reflects broader national discussions amid these politically charged times. Sources: Woman forced to vote in bra. Maga woman keeps it real.
