500,000-Year-Old Man-Made Wooden Objects Found in Zambia

Archaeologists in Zambia have unearthed wooden artifacts dating back approximately 476,000 years, challenging the long-standing view that early humans primarily relied on stone tools. These well-crafted objects showcase the intelligence, imagination, and skills of our ancient ancestors. The artifacts, discovered near Kalambo Falls, include a wedge, a digging stick, a cut log, and a notched branch. Their careful assembly suggests they were used to create platforms or foundations for dwellings, demonstrating advanced woodworking abilities far beyond what was previously attributed to early hominids. Preserved in swampy terrain, these items predate the emergence of Homo sapiens. Researchers believe their creators were likely Homo heidelbergensis or a related species. Unlike stone tools, wooden objects typically decompose over time, leaving little evidence of their use. This makes the Kalambo Falls find particularly significant, offering rare insight into early hominid ingenuity. “Forget the Stone Age label and look at what these people were doing: it’s something new and big, made of wood. It involves intelligence, imagination, and skill,” said Professor Larry Barham of the University of Liverpool, who led the study. To determine the age of the artifacts, scientists used luminescence dating, a cutting-edge method not available during earlier excavations in the 1960s. Professor Geoff Dallier of Aberystwyth University explained that this technique allowed researchers to finally establish the timeline of these remarkable discoveries. The findings suggest that early hominids understood how to manipulate wood to meet their needs, potentially revolutionizing their methods for obtaining food and building shelters. As Barham noted, this level of innovation highlights the sophistication of ancient humans and their ability to adapt their environment to suit their purposes. Exclusive: MRC Exposes Retailer Lauded by Pro-DEI MSNBC

MSNBC host Ali Velshi, after begrudgingly acknowledging the stunning collapse of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies at Walmart, could not keep himself from lauding another major retailer as a stalwart of the racist ideology.  During the Dec. 1 edition of his eponymous MSNBC show, Velshi praised Meijer, a giant Midwest retailer for earning a “perfect score” from the radical LGBTQ+ pressure group, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), and for their commitment to possibly discriminatory “supplier diversity”. “Meijer, for example, is another large company that launched specific diversity programs in 2020,” Velshi told his audience. MRC researchers investigated both of these claims. Although Meijer ignored requests for comment, MRC researchers found disconcerting corporate statements on supply diversity by Meijer, while discovering that HRC claims that Meijer adheres to their horrifying criteria for a perfect score. Additionally, Meijer appears to have removed a controversial definition following requests for comment. During the MSNBC segment, Velshi went on to say that Meijer had massively improved their score on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) between 2008 and the present. He specifically said, “[Meijer] amended its company policies and has fully rebounded. HRC now gives it a perfect score. It also committed to supplier diversity, one of the many policies that Walmart has backed away from this week. Buying goods from companies that are majority owned by women, minorities or disabled people or members of the LGBTQ community.” As acknowledged by Velshi, podcast host Robby Starbuck has repeatedly and successfully called out corporate DEI programs. Since June 27, several companies have stepped away from DEI and the HRC, including Walmart, Ford, Toyota, Molson-Coors, Tractor Supply, Harley-Davidson, Jack Daniel’s parent company Brown-Furman, Stanley Black & Decker, Caterpillar and Lowe’s.  Meijer has yet to do so. MRC researchers reached out to Meijer six times for a response about its relationship with the HRC and commitment to supplier diversity. With no response from Meijer, here are the facts.  Meijer has repeatedly boasted of its perfect CEI scores on its website in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In turn, the radical HRC has validated Meijer’s alignment with their requirements for this score. According to the HRC, Meijer “Provides Gender Transition Guidelines and at least one additional transgender inclusive policy or practice for its employees” and has “Equal health coverage for transgender individuals without exclusion for medically necessary care.” Meijer also failed to answer questions about whether it discriminates based on race and gender to achieve DEI goals. The company frequently touts efforts at supplier diversity, hosting events in September 2020, February 2021, January 2022, and August 2022. Three out of the four events specifically invited applications from “Certified minority-, LGBTQ-, woman-, veteran- and disability-owned businesses,” to apply, seemingly restricted participation to these groups. Meijer also showed their support for supplier diversity by donating $300,000 to the National Minority Supplier Development Council. On Dec. 2, MRC researchers found that Meijer’s supplier diversity FAQ included the question, “What is a diverse supplier.” The list identified women, African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Native Alaskans, LGBT People, veterans, disabled veterans and people with disabilities. It notably excluded men, white people and groups like Italian Americans or Irish Americans. Following questions from the MRC, Meijer removed this question from the page entirely.  Despite these apparently exclusionary lists for supplier diversity events and their definition, Meijer has claimed elsewhere that “Meijer Supplier Inclusion programs are open to all diverse, non-diverse and local vendors.” Conservatives are under attack! Contact MSNBC at (800) 952-5210 and demand they report on the dangers of leftist DEI ideology infecting American companies.

Biden Breaks His Promise and Pardons His Son — Yeah, But Trump

Biden Breaks His Promise and Pardons His Son — Yeah, But Trump

After months of insisting he would not pardon his son Hunter, President Joe Biden did just that -- as almost anyone other than left-wing cable news legal analysts and Trump-hating late-night comics expected. In doing so, Biden effectively confirmed the Trump “conspiracy theory” of a two-tiered justice system. The pardon covers not only Hunter Biden’s convictions on tax and gun charges but also any crimes he may have committed since 2014, the year he joined the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Biden’s pardon statement said: “No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son -- and that is wrong. There has been an effort to break Hunter -- who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution.” Biden added: “Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently.” Left-wing pundits, with some exceptions, offered various excuses to defend the pardon Biden vowed not to grant: Well, hey, this was his son; Hunter was unfairly targeted; President-elect Donald Trump vowed to go after political enemies; and Trump was a greater abuser of the pardon power. MSNBC’s legal analyst and former U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade said: “Prosecuting someone for unpaid taxes that are then repaid with interest and penalties is something that is typically resolved civilly instead of through criminal charges. So, I do believe that Hunter Biden was treated differently than any other person would have been treated, even if it did not arise to the level of legal selective or legal vindictive prosecution.” Special prosecutor David Weiss said in a court filing after the pardon, “There was none and never has been any evidence of vindictive or selective prosecution in this case.” Fox News legal analyst and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andy McCarthy said, “So if I rob a bank, but I bring the money back, that’s OK? It’s idiotic. As far as the gun case is concerned, that was not what they call a lie-and-try case where you fill out the form, but you don’t get the gun because they find out there’s a problem. [Hunter] actually got the gun. Those cases get brought up all the time. And as for a tax violation, it’s just like the bank robbery ... Paying back the money you owe doesn’t mean you didn’t commit the crime. It’s not a defense ... those are just silly arguments and in point of fact, he got cut break after break because he was Hunter Biden, because he was the president’s son ... they actually tried to make the case against him go away, which is a break that no American would get.” As for breaks “no American would get,” IRS whistleblowers said the IRS and the DOJ stymied their investigation by dragging it out so the statute of limitations would allow Hunter to skate on the nonpayment of taxes in his highest-earning years. The whistleblowers also say they were prevented from interviewing other Biden family members. About the pardon, House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said, “The charges Hunter faced were just the tip of the iceberg in the blatant corruption that President Biden and the Biden Crime Family have lied about to the American people. Last June, Comer’s committee, along with the House Judiciary and Ways and Means committees, said, “The Committees are investigating the President’s role in and knowledge of his family’s international influence peddling schemes that have generated over $18 million for Biden family members and their related companies, and over $27 million when including the payments to their business associates, who often were used to transfer funds to Biden family members.” This raises a question. When will Biden pardon the rest of his family members and himself? Stay tuned. Larry Elder is a bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio talk-show host. Lara Trump to step down from RNC post amid rumored Senate bid

Lara Trump announced that she will step down as co-chair of the Republican National Committee amid a speculated Senate run in the state of Florida. Lara was first elected to serve as RNC co-chair alongside Michael Whatley in March of this year, replacing former chair Ronna McDaniel. Lara is now reportedly eyeing the Florida Senate seat following President-elect Donald Trump's nomination of Republican Sen. Marco Rubio to serve as secretary of state in the incoming administration. Lara is among the potential candidates to replace Rubio, confirming to the Associated Press on Sunday that she would 'seriously consider' the Senate bid. Since stepping into her role at the RNC, Lara set her sights on surpassing fundraising records, ramping up election integrity measures, and increasing turnout of low-propensity voters."We accomplished all three," Lara said in a Sunday post on X. "The job I came to do is now complete and I intend to formally step down from the RNC at our next meeting."This announcement came less than a month after Rubio's appointment sparked rumors about potential successors. Given Rubio's likely confirmation, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida will have to appoint a successor who will serve in the Senate through 2026 before holding a special election to fill the seat through 2028. Lara is among the potential candidates to replace Rubio, confirming to the Associated Press on Sunday that she would "seriously consider" the Senate bid. “If I’m being completely transparent, I don’t know exactly what that would look like," Lara said of the potential Senate appointment. "And I certainly want to get all of the information possible if that is something that’s real for me. But yeah, I would 100% consider it."Florida is now facing a total of three congressional vacancies. In addition to Rubio, Florida Republican Rep. Mike Waltz and former Rep. Matt Gaetz were both tapped to serve in the upcoming administration. Gaetz, who was recruited for attorney general, resigned from the House after his nomination and later withdrew his bid altogether. Waltz was nominated to serve as national security adviser and has stated that he will resign on January 20, the day of Trump's inauguration. Like Blaze News? 'Thank you Daniel': Golf legend Phil Mickelson shows support for Daniel Penny for 'protecting' citizens

Three-time Masters Tournament champion Phil Mickelson gave a surprise endorsement of Daniel Penny, a man on trial in New York City for subduing a man on the subway who later died.Mickelson is a longtime professional golfer who has been a mainstay on the PGA Tour (and then LIV Tour) since the early 1990s. Now 54 years old, "Lefty" has increasingly found his voice, sharing political stories while still generally remaining quiet publicly. On Friday, Mickelson made a statement about Penny just hours before a manslaughter charge against him was dropped, with the jury unable to come to a decision.'Thank you Daniel for serving your country ...'The golfer was responding to a post on X that called Penny "a model citizen who should be praised by the city of New York." The post also said Penny "is the person you hope is around if your loved ones' lives are being threatened" and finished by calling him a "hero."Mickelson said he agreed with the sentiment and thanked Penny for his actions."Thank you Daniel for serving your country and for protecting the many passengers whose lives were threatened by this violent and deranged individual."Then late Sunday night, Mickelson shared some "random thoughts," which included sentiments about football commentators, a TV show, and another statement regarding Penny."Random thoughts[.] Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth are great in the booth. Day of the Jackal is an incredible show. If a deranged individual threatens to kill you let’s hope there's a Daniel Penny around." — (@) Mickelson has also shared posts about mass immigration and even commented on the presidential debate in late June."After watching the debate last night, I feel it never got personal until they started talking golf handicaps and who hits the longest drives. As a golfer, I get it," he joked. — (@) As for Penny, the 26-year-old former Marine was arrested after he got into an altercation with a man named Jordan Neely on an NYC subway. Videos showed Penny subduing the man with a chokehold. Neely later died.According to Fox News, Neely had an active arrest warrant at the time of the altercation, and he was high on K2, a synthetic marijuana drug. The man also had a lengthy criminal record that included an assault on a 67-year-old woman at a subway station in 2021.Witnesses also reported the man was making death threats against passengers.Like Blaze News? Dressing clean? How what you wear can drastically improve your health

Dressing clean? How what you wear can drastically improve your health

I've always been skeptical of "fitness." Health, I understand. When I was single, I never ate out and generally avoided processed foods. And now that I am married, I make our meals from scratch with wholesome ingredients. We walk a lot. I have friends who believed they were intolerant to gluten until they stopped wearing polyester. Now they can enjoy bread without issues. In other words, we try to maintain our health — the fundamental well-being of our bodies, minds, and souls. But to me the word "fitness" often points to just another way to objectify the human body — to see it as a tool. Fit for what? For being a model? For being more attractive as a wife and more efficient as a mother? We should eat less and exercise more, the books and videos tell us. Doing so will regulate our hormones and make everybody love us more. We'll get a slimmer waistline and stronger arms. We'll be "sexier" and "healthier," and we'll feel good about it. We'll eat more protein. We'll invest in gym equipment. We'll start taking supplements and maybe selling them — as long as we're achieving peak health, we might as well make a little money off our friends! And we'll go through diet after diet. The average woman will try around 126 over the course of her life. Why? Because many women just can't make diets work for them. They find that those last few pounds are impossible to lose, or they realize that their obsession with what they can't eat makes them anything but sexy or attentive. Their bodies are stressed, and their hormones suffer for it. But all this focus on what we put in our bodies leads us to ignore something just as important — what we put on our bodies. Diet culture is too neurotic to figure out that it needs a simpler, more holistic approach. After the chapter on "The Waist-Friendly Pantry" should come the chapter on "The Hormone Stabilizer Wardrobe." How you dress affects how you feel perhaps just as much as what you eat. I have friends who believed they were intolerant to gluten until they stopped wearing polyester. Now they can enjoy bread without issues. Unpleasant, sour body odor is also often the result of wearing synthetic fabrics, which keep your pores from breathing and trap moisture against your skin. Dressing in natural fibers can be a big improvement. How you dress affects how you feel about yourself -- but it goes well beyond taking pride in your appearance. Wearing synthetic clothes is like eating McDonald's, packaging and all — it's just that it enters your body via your skin instead of your stomach. The quality of your clothing will influence your hormones, emotions, and overall health. Not only can changing your wardrobe eliminate gluten intolerance and body odor, you might also find yourself having fewer migraines, rashes, and food sensitivities, as well as less bloating. A wardrobe overhaul doesn't have to be expensive. With a little planning, it can end up costing you less than any prospective diet. Even if you can't sew your own garments, you can find plenty of wool, linen, and cotton clothing at thrift stores and on Facebook marketplace. And you don't have to do it all at once. You can start with one or two linen dresses — try them for a week and just see how much better you feel. Once you understand the impact a few inexpensive, natural-fiber garments can have on your health and happiness, you'll never look back.

Days Gone remaster maybe hinted as strange Steam updates land just before TGAs

At times like this, I cast my mind back to Counter-Strike Global Offensive. For months, alongside the rest of the fanbase for Valve’s FPS, I was keeping a close eye on the backend of Steam, tracking every single update, tweak, and new data depot. The cynical part of me said it was all just nothing. The (admittedly much smaller) hopeful part of me wanted to believe. And lo and behold, after all that tinfoil-hat speculation, eventually, Counter-Strike 2 was confirmed - sometimes, the most optimistic theories are true. Days Gone 2 might never happen. The open-world survival game may be doomed to the annals of overlooked, underloved cult hits. But with The Game Awards about to start, some mysterious updates on Steam could - just could - point to a Days Gone remaster.
