Netflix Renews Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for Second Season

News Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Netflix Renews Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for Second Season Lara will go from being a rookie to the icon we know and love By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on October 25, 2024 Credit: Netflix Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Netflix Netflix’s animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has uncovered a second season. Netflix announced today via their Tudum website that the show will get more episodes, and that after Season One’s “origin story of sorts,” Lara will move on from being “somewhat of a rookie” to the icon we know from the franchise’s video games and live-action films. Here’s the official logline for Season Two: When adventurer Lara Croft discovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, she joins forces with her best friend Sam to retrieve the precious artifacts. Lara’s thrilling new adventure takes her around the globe as she delves deeper into the hidden secrets of Orisha history, dodges the machinations of a dangerous and enigmatic billionaire who wants the masks for herself, while discovering these relics contain dark secrets and a power that defies logic. Power that may, in fact, be divine. “Season One, thematically, is about Lara embracing how her dad dealt with grief, which was isolating,” showrunner Tasha Huo told Tudum. “When we meet Lara, she’s very isolated… As we get into Season Two, we’re trying to build Lara’s team over the course of the show, so she goes from isolated hero, who only wants to do things on her own—a lone wolf—to realizing, ‘Actually, I have this really cool team behind me.’” No news yet on when Season Two will premiere on Netflix. The entire first season is now streaming on the platform.[end-mark] The post Netflix Renews Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for Second Season appeared first on Reactor.

CBS’s ‘Eye’ at the Border Is Little More Than Pro-Harris Propaganda

As the election approaches, look for the Regime Media to embed propaganda in subtler pieces than what you normally see at the top of their newscasts, such as their unhinged campaign trail recaps. Case in point: this “Eye on America” item from CBS, touting “nuance” at the border that is anything but nuanced. Watch as Norah O’Donnell and Omar Villafranca introduce their border dispatch: NORAH O’DONNELL: A CBS news poll shows 58% of likely voters consider the U.S.-Mexico border a major factor in their choice for president. Well, there are no shortage of opinions in the immigration debate, we wanted to see what those closest to the issue are thinking. So for tonight’s Eye on America, CBS's Omar Villafranca hits the road for a 1,000 mile-plus reality check. OMAR VILLAFRANCA: The southern border as described on the campaign trail... DONALD TRUMP: It's an invasion of our country. KAMALA HARRIS: I saw the violence and chaos. VILLAFRANCA: …or seen on the news… CAMILO MONTOYA: In just the past 24 hours, more than 10,000 migrants have been processed… VILLAFRANCA: …can easily create a picture of all border towns as lawless and chaotic. But the reality is more nuanced, as we learned during our 1600-mile trip from McAllen, Texas, to the California coast. Villafranca goes on to assure viewers that the southern border is not 2,000 miles of badlands, and that is certainly a legitimate take. In order to accomplish this, he interviews various local business owners and public officials. Villafranca also points to the various industrial concerns. But none of this mitigates the fact that tens of millions of illegal migrants poured into the United States over the last three and a half years. In fact, you hear no allusion to a migrant crisis anywhere in the report except for the Trump soundbite where he says “invasion.” That is, until it is time to put forth a solution for the border crisis, at which point Villafranca champions the failed Senate deal that would’ve put millions of illegal migrants on a fast track to citizenship. VILLAFRANCA: Arizona borders Mexico for more than 350 miles, and it is a drug smuggling hotspot. In FY 2024, 66% of the fentanyl seized on the U.S.-Mexico border happened in the Tucson sector, which includes all the ports of entry in Arizona, including the one behind me. Douglas, Arizona, mayor Donald Huish liked the bipartisan border bill that’s been front and center in the campaign. The one that died after Donald Trump's criticism. KAMALA HARRIS: I will bring it back up and probably sign it into law. DONALD HUISH: It would help us because we would've had more Border Patrol agents. I can understand why people didn't like the entire bill, but why stop talking about it? VILLAFRANCA: Did that frustrate you? HUISH: It frustrated the heck out of us. In the end, this supposedly nuanced report is little more than Regime propaganda, 11 days from a presidential election. Exit question: Did you know that there are 150,000 migrants jammed up in southern Mexico until after the election, after which they will march north? Because the Regime Media are making sure that you don't know. Click “expand” to view the full transcript of the aforementioned report as aired on the CBS Evening News on Thursday, October 24th, 2024: CBS EVENING NEWS 10/24/24 6:50 PM NORAH O’DONNELL: A CBS news poll shows 58% of likely voters consider the U.S.-Mexico border a major factor in their choice for president. But the reality is more nuanced, as we learned during our 6000-mile trip from McAllen, Texas, to the California coast. In Laredo, Texas, ranked as one of the safest cities in the state, mayor Victor Trevino told us his city is not the Wild West he often sees depicted. VICTOR TREVINO: There’s cartels, there's crime, and this and that -- which is not true. VILLAFRANCA: He points to a different surge. $320 billion worth of GM and Tesla car parts, microchips, and produce that cross America's busiest port of entry by train and truck. About 500 miles west, in Presidio, Texas, restaurant owner Hector Armendariz sees people leaving for better paying jobs, including his own family. HECTOR ARMENDARIZ: This is my teenager. Daughter. She’s graduating this May. We have three. They left. And they don't come back. All our kids leave, and they don't come back. VILLAFRANCA: Mayor John Ferguson says the local economy relies on hundreds of Mexican citizens who illegally cross every day to work in restaurants or oilfields. What would happen if it was harder for Mexican residents to come over to work in Presidio? JOHN FERGUSON: I think we’d be in serious trouble like, you know, the pandemic, where you didn't have enough workers and things would slow down, and certain sectors might kind of dry up. VILLAFRANCA: Columbus, New Mexico mayor Phil Skinner says without border trade towns shrink, with consequences you may not think about. How many dentists are in town here? PHIL SKINNER: In Columbus? VILLAFRANCA: Yeah. SKINNER: None. VILLAFRANCA: How many dentists are in Puerto palomas? SKINNER: Ten. VILLAFRANCA: So if you need dental work, you're going to Mexico. SKINNER: Yes. VILLAFRANCA: Frustration is everywhere along the border. Just ask Sheriff Mark Dannels in Arizona's Cochise County, which struggles with the influx of drug mules and human smugglers. Are you optimistic or pessimistic about what’s going to happen here in the future? MARK DANNELS: It’s more of an unknown because politics in the country is so divided right now. VILLAFRANCA: Which is why the one thing you won't find on the border is hope for a solution. For Eye on America, I'm Omar Villafranca, along the U.S.-Mexico border.

UNBURDENED? Washington Post Declares They Won't Endorse Kamala for President!

First came the internal freakout when the Los Angeles Times decided not to endorse their home-state Democrat Kamala Harris. Now The Washington Post has followed suit. Publisher Will Lewis wrote a memo announcing: "The Washington Post will not be making an endorsement of a presidential candidate in this election. Nor in any future presidential election. We are returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates." Near the end, Lewis added: Our job at The Washington Post is to provide through the newsroom nonpartisan news for all Americans, and thought-provoking, reported views from our opinion team to help our readers make up their own minds. Most of all, our job as the newspaper of the capital city of the most important country in the world is to be independent. Since 1976, Scott Whitlock found The Post had a perfect 11-and-0 record of endorsing Democrats for president. (They didn't endorse Dukakis in 1988) NPR media reporter David Folkenflik, who did a series of articles over internal freakouts that Lewis (with Rupert Murdoch newspaper ties) was taking over as Publisher, worked his anonymous sources: “Colleagues learned the news from the editorial page editor, David Shipley, at a tense meeting shortly before Lewis' announcement…. Colleagues were said to be "shocked" and uniformly negative.” Of course they were. Folkenflik was suggesting this was all Lewis persuading owner Jeff Bezos: "He brought in Lewis, who has significant conservative bonafides, as publisher and CEO in January. Lewis held the same role at Rupert Murdoch's Wall Street Journal; served as the editor of the London-based Telegraph, which is closely allied with the Tory party; and was a consultant to Conservative Boris Johnson when Johnson was U.K. prime minister." This is both mysterious and hilarious. It's not like anyone imagines that The Post is truly an "independent" newspaper, starting with the blatantly anti-Trump motto "Democracy Dies In Darkness" that they posted after Trump won in 2016. Its subscribers are overwhelmingly Democrats and the federal establishment. It's hilarious because the leftists are so upset, as if the Post has succumbed to the darkness of dictatorship. Folkenflik quoted former top editor Martin Baron, who once bizarrely claimed "we're not at war [with Trump], we're at work": "This is cowardice, a moment of darkness that will leave democracy as a casualty," Baron said in a statement to NPR. "Donald Trump will celebrate this as an invitation to further intimidate The Post’s owner, Jeff Bezos (and other media owners). History will mark a disturbing chapter of spinelessness at an institution famed for courage." "Courage" is defined as full-blown Democratic Party savagery. Sen. Mark Warner Complains About a Decline in Social Media Censorship

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) joined a chorus of leftist voices begging Big Tech to censor more aggressively, hearkening back to the days of even more aggressive content moderation. Warner went after X and TikTok for their lack of cooperation with the government before complaining to MSNBC Anchor Katy Tur that most major social media companies had supposedly censored content less aggressively since 2020. Warner expressed his disappointment with this approach during the Thursday edition of Andrea Mitchell Reports. “Frankly, TikTok in terms of trying to work with the government on this misinformation, disinformation, they and X are two of the entities that are least involved in our effort,” Warner said, “But let me also be clear. Every one of the social media companies—Facebook, Instagram, YouTube—they have all cut back on their own content moderation efforts from where we were in 2020. I’m disappointed in that.” Due to the Twitter Files and confessions by Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Americas now know that the government frequently colluded with Big Tech to censor disfavored content. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted on Aug. 25 that the federal government pressured Facebook into censoring content related to Hunter Biden’s laptop and COVID-19. The Twitter Files have shown that the government placed similar pressure on Twitter over a host of COVID-19-related topics. In all, no less than seven federal agencies have been involved in colluding with Big Tech to censor speech. Finally and most infamously, former President Donald Trump was banned from nearly every major social media app in January 2021. While Warner was not specific, other leftists have been far more direct about precisely what censorship they miss. CNN Technology Reporter Brian Fung complained about how social media platforms, especially X under owner Elon Musk, have purportedly let Americans speak their minds. On Oct. 21 Fung attacked social media companies for allowing the now-2024 Republican Presidential nominee to use their platforms. He also lamented that X and other social media companies had cracked down on the “trust and safety” teams (making censorship more difficult). This narrative was also pushed by former CNN host Brian Stelter, who cited Fung’s article in a thread on X. In his own article, Stelter griped, “Social media firms, however, have taken a relatively laissez-faire approach to viral lies and propaganda in recent years. Some earlier efforts to support verified news sources and discourage unverified vitriol have been scuttled in the United States, in part due to pressure campaigns from conservatives who have conflated all discussions of disinformation as pleas for censorship.” Conservatives are under attack! Contact your representatives and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on so-called hate speech and equal footing for conservatives. If you have been censored, contact us using CensorTrack’s contact form, and help us hold Big Tech accountable.

CNN Hails Harris Hyping 'Tragedies Abortion Restrictions Have Led To'

If CNN can’t convince voters that Donald Trump is a fascist, they will try the next best thing and try to convince them that pro-lifers are going to kill women. On Friday, correspondent Eva McKend joined not one, not two, but three CNN morning shows to hype Kamala Harris’s upcoming rally in Texas, where the campaign will “illustrate the tragedies abortion restrictions have led to.” During the 7:00 Eastern edition of CNN Newsroom, co-host John Berman asked, “Eva, what is in store today with the vice president going to a state where, let's be honest, she likely won't win?” McKend replied, “Yeah, John, they're traveling to Texas because they described it as the epicenter of abortion bans. The event will feature a Texas couple who led a lawsuit against the state's abortion bans after suffering life-threatening pregnancy complications. Shanette Williams, the mother of Amber Nicole Thurman, who died in 2022 from a treatable infection due to delays getting reproductive care in Georgia, she's going to be in attendance as well.” She added, “And listen, John, this is what we've been seeing from the Harris campaign. They're leaning on women to tell their own stories to illustrate some of the tragedies abortion restrictions have heeded.” Georgia pro-lifers did not kill Thurman, unexplained medical malpractice did. Even ProPublica admitted that it is unknown why doctors waited so long to give her treatment; they just put in paragraph 60 after most people probably stopped reading. Things weren’t much better during the 9:00 hour as Berman’s colleague and fellow co-host Kate Bolduan rehashed the same question and answers. McKend’s final appearance of the morning came the next hour on CNN Newsroom where host Jim Acosta asked her, “What do we know about Kamala Harris's rally in Houston tonight? It's a big, deep red state, obviously, perhaps not in play for the vice president, but it is a message she wants to get across there with some big stars.” For the third time, McKend exclaimed, “Jim, they're traveling to what they describe as the epicenter of abortion bans. The event will feature a Texas couple who led a lawsuit against the state's abortion bans after suffering life threatening pregnancy complications. Shanette Williams, she is the mother of Amber Nicole Thurman, who died in 2022 from a treatable infection due to delays to her medical care stemming from Georgia's abortion law. She will be in attendance as well.” One more time, she also claimed, “The campaign thinks that this is a compelling argument. They are leaning on women to tell their own stories, to illustrate the tragedies abortion restrictions have led to, and then having some fun as well with the star-studded lineup of Texas natives, like Beyoncé and Willie Nelson, Jim.” In her official bio, CNN makes clear they view McKend’s partisan spin as a positive and hypes her pestering Sen. Mitch McConnell about whether he could be an impartial juror during Trump’s first impeachment trial and on reparations. Here are transcripts for the October 25 shows: CNN News Central 10/25/2024 7:01 AM ET JOHN BERMAN: All right, let's go to CNN's Eva McKend. Eva, what is in store today with the vice president going to a state where, let's be honest, she likely won't win? EVA MCKEND: Yeah, John, they're traveling to Texas because they described it as the epicenter of abortion bans. The event will feature a Texas couple who led a lawsuit against the state's abortion bans after suffering life-threatening pregnancy complications. Shanette Williams, the mother of Amber Nicole Thurman, who died in 2022 from a treatable infection due to delays getting reproductive care in Georgia, she's going to be in attendance as well. They're leaning on women to tell their own stories to illustrate some of the tragedies abortion restrictions have heeded. *** CNN News Central 10/25/2024 9:02 AM ET KATE BOLDUAN: Eva, what is, what are you hearing from the Harris campaign on the strategy heading to Texas today? EVA MCKEND: Well, Kate, Texas a battleground, it is not, but they're traveling there because they described it as the epicenter of abortion bans. The event will feature a Texas couple, who led a lawsuit against the state's abortion bans after suffering life-threatening pregnancy complications. Shanette Williams, she is the mother of Amber Nicole Thurman, who died in 2022 from a treatable infection, due to delays in receiving reproductive care from Georgia's restrictive abortion law. She will also be in attendance and that's what we have been seeing from the Harris campaign. They are elevating women to tell their own stories to illustrate some of the tragedies abortion restrictions have led to, and this all comes as Vice President Harris is aiming to show contrast with former president Donald Trump. *** CNN Newsroom with Jim Acosta 10/25/2024 10:01 PM ET JIM ACOSTA: What do we know about Kamala Harris's rally in Houston tonight? It's a big, deep red state, obviously, perhaps not in play for the vice president, but it is a message she wants to get across there with some big stars. Electoral environment bodes well for Republicans — but one nefarious F-word still lurks in the background

The Kamala Harris campaign has two pillars holding it up: “baby killing” and the narrative “[Trump] is literally Hitler.” “They don’t have anything else to run on,” says Steve Deace. According to Gallup’s most recent favorability polling, it would seem as if the Democrats’ two pillars are beginning to crumble. Currently, Trump’s total favorable rating sits at a 50, while Harris’ sits at a 48. However, those numbers are reversed on the unfavorable scale. Harris’ total unfavorable rating is 50, while Trump’s is 48. While this certainly is a positive sign for Republicans, Steve says we can’t forget about the thing that’s “lurking there in the background.” - YouTube youtu.be It’s the F-word we all dread: fraud. Steve points to Maricopa County, Arizona, saying, "'I don't know, guys, it might take us a couple weeks [to count the votes]”’ as an example of a glaring sign of impending fraudulent activity. “In fairness to them, given how Trump is surging in the polls right now, they don't have any clue how many votes they're going to actually need, so it may take them longer to conjure them up. I'm sorry — to count them. Count. Wrong C-word,” Steve jests. While Steve is being humorous, "what lingers underneath the surface" is the gnawing fear that Trump will win and still not see the Oval Office — especially considering that there’s an overwhelming amount of evidence that that's exactly what happened in the 2020 election.“Nothing substantive was done about it for the last four years. Lots of people built massive engagement farms, wringing their hands about it. ... Lots of money was raised to stop the stealing from happening,” but “no Krakens were ever released,” he sighs. “The polling is still close enough perceptively that you could justify stealing it if you wanted to try.”While “the margin of cheating is definitely lower than it was a few weeks ago ... we're not outside of it yet by any means,” warns Steve. To hear more of his election forecasting, watch the episode above. Want more from Steve Deace? Cover-up? What Aurora officials already knew about rising Venezuelan gang violence

City officials in Aurora, Colorado, repeatedly denied the growing threat of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua despite apparent early warnings, according to emails obtained by Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky. In a Wednesday post on X, Jurinsky shared an internal Aurora Police Department email dated November 16, 2023, from Gang Intervention Unit Officer Matthew Walters to Chief of Police Chris Poppe and several other colleagues. 'The liberal media and some politicians want you to believe that it is okay for people to live like this because it's just a handful of apartment complexes and not the entire city of Aurora.'Walters explained that he had attached a "Gang Unit Bulletin" on TDA, which he planned to share with the entire department the following day. He noted that the announcement included information provided to him by a Homeland Security Investigations sergeant and an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, according to a photo of the email. The ICE officer "stated TdA has decided to make Denver their headquarters due to sanctuary policies and location," Walters apparently wrote.Poppe replied, asking Walters, "Is there any Aurora-centric info that could be included in the bulletin? Known addresses, or hangouts, or specifics cops should be aware of?"In another X post, Jurinsky leaked a June 30 department email regarding an incident at Whispering Pines Apartments, owned by CBZ Management. According to the correspondence, a cleaning crew worker reported being "threatened ... to give up the keys to the vacant apartments … so that a group of Venezuelans could move people into" the complex. "Suspects left but not before warning her to comply or else they would kill her and her family," the email continued, according to the photo. The suspects reportedly stated that they had the building "under surveillance and that they had over 200 people working for them.""I would highly recommend you guys to take 2-3 friends with you when responding to any calls there," the department email added. In an email, Major Crime Homicide Unit Sergeant Jeff Longnecker stated, "I would be happy to go over this case with anyone that still denies this is a major problem."Longnecker was referring to a murder, but it is not clear from the email which case precisely. He expressed frustration that multiple agencies appeared to have opened criminal investigations into TDA, but "nobody seems to be able to work with each other.""As soon as this group kills an innocent person all hell is going to break lose and I would hate for us all to be exposed for not sharing information with each other and/or not being able to show that we have dedicated proactive units and investigative units directly impacting this problem," Longnecker wrote. Jurinsky torched some city leaders for downplaying the severity of the situation. In a separate post on X, she stated, "The liberal media and some politicians want you to believe that it is okay for people to live like this because it's just a handful of apartment complexes and not the entire city of Aurora. I ask again what the threshold is for these 'leaders' to care?"CBZ Management wrote in a post on social media this week, "The police knew about the TDA gangs taking over our properties - as early as Sept 22, 2023 - and didn't warn us! Worse, they put the onus of security on our employees without us knowing the danger!"The company shared another leaked internal department email dated September 2023, with the subject line "Tren de Aragua." "According to interviews from residence [sic] Tren de Aragua is working out of Aurora and residing in our city," the sergeant's email apparently read. Ryan Luby, a city of Aurora spokesperson, told the Denver Gazette, "We must remember that police departments and the justice system as a whole must rely on admissible evidence, not hearsay, rumors and fragments of information.""Contrary to claims made on social media and by select news organizations, the city, including APD, has remained consistent in responses on this matter," Luby wrote in a Thursday statement to the news outlet.Luby also pushed back on CBZ Management, telling the Denver Gazette, "Instead of expending the resources to address the documented issues, CBZ and its stakeholders have hired a team of attorneys and, as we learned today, a Florida-based public relations firm to engage in diversionary tactics, fight the city in its city charter-mandated duties to enforce city code, and alternative narratives with many of you."Governor Jared Polis' office told the news outlet that the governor's office is "committed to supporting local law enforcement and their work to keep our communities safe."Polis previously called TDA's takeover of apartment complexes "largely a feature of Danielle Jurinsky's imagination.""The state was first notified by Homeland Security in late July that they were monitoring activity in Aurora, the state then immediately reached out to the city of Aurora, including the Governor reaching out to the Mayor, to offer any assistance needed," the governor's office told the Denver Gazette. "When Governor Polis met with Mayor Coffman in late July, we were informed that the city did not have a strong criminal case yet and the state offered dedicated investigative support in the form of Troopers and CBI agents to work cases, and DHSEM provided analysts to support investigations to identify and arrest known criminal gang elements."Like Blaze News?
