Mark Cuban Willing To Work With Trump Administration?

“Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” that he would be willing to work with a Trump administration if he wins the 2024 presidential election. “What’s best for the country? That’s what I care about. Look, let me just add if Trump wins last time when he won, he asked me to help on healthcare [and] on PPE,” Cuban said. “I sat with Peter Navarro and helped him come up with a mask company and helped them grow. That was all domestic production,” he continued. “I’ll do the same thing. I’m America first,” he added. “You know, that’s the wrong way to put it. I am, what’s best for this country, country over party, country over all,” he said. BREAKING: Mark Cuban says he would be willing to work with the Trump administration if asked. “I’m America first.” pic.twitter.com/oWu9qQWRCu — Leading Report (@LeadingReport) October 22, 2024 Fox Business reports: During the lengthy interview, Kernen pressed Cuban about what exactly he liked about Harris after Cuban claimed Harris’ support for taxing unrealized investment returns would “kill the stock market.” Cuban reiterated it’s “absolutely not going to happen” and told Kernen that if Harris had “lied about it, I would campaign against her so there wouldn’t be a second term.” Cuban said he supported Harris’ pledge to not increase taxes on small businesses, and to cut prescription costs as ways to help the economy. He also argued that Trump’s mass deportation plan would hurt businesses who have immigrants on their payroll. “Kamala Harris has said she is going to have very specific procedures for law-abiding non-citizens for the processes they’ll have to follow to either stay or leave,” Cuban said. “You want that to be sane, you want that to be transparent, you want there to be a specific process for everybody to follow. You don’t want Elián González type scenarios. That is horrible for business,” he continued. Cuban has been a visible surrogate on behalf of Harris since she replaced President Biden atop the Democratic ticket nearly three months ago. I initially thought it might not have been [legal] but as a sweepstakes, it looks like it may be”@elonmusk @mcuban pic.twitter.com/woz3cPmNjF — Chief Nerd (@TheChiefNerd) October 21, 2024 Per Business Insider: The billionaire businessman Mark Cuban on Monday said the presidential campaign had become a battle between Vice President Kamala Harris and Tesla CEO Elon Musk rather than Donald Trump. Speaking on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cuban said Harris was fighting against Musk, a campaign surrogate for Trump, as much as she was against her political rival, saying the outcome of this year’s election would hinge on voter turnout — an issue Musk has made a priority in recent weeks. “Really it comes down to ‘get out the vote,'” said Cuban, who has campaigned on behalf of Harris. “And the crazy thing is, it’s the Harris campaign versus Elon — not even versus Trump.” Musk, who first endorsed Trump in July before launching his super PAC in support of the former president, has prioritized increasing voter turnout ahead of the election.

JUST IN: President Trump Officially Going On Joe Rogan’s Podcast, Details Here

President Trump will sit down with Joe Rogan on Friday in Austin, Texas, to film an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. According to NBC News, Trump will hold a rally in Texas the same day. Harris is scheduled to be in Houston that day. Breaking News: President Trump will officially go on the Joe Rogan's podcast this Friday. pic.twitter.com/GKCIhGauy4 — The Calvin Coolidge Project (@TheCalvinCooli1) October 22, 2024 Per NBC News: “The Joe Rogan Experience” has reigned for years as one of the most popular podcasts in all of media, particularly among young men, who have been key targets of the Trump campaign. Trump has done a number of interviews in recent weeks with other media figures popular among men, including Ben Shapiro, Adin Ross and Theo Vonn. He also appeared on Andrew Schulz’s “Flagrant” podcast with Akaash Singh. Rogan and Trump have a complicated history. Though the “Fear Factor” host supported Sen. Bernie Sanders during the 2020 primary, he also has praised Trump’s presidency. In August, Rogan also said he was a “fan” of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., then an independent presidential candidate, though he quickly clarified he wasn’t endorsing him. Rogan reportedly may interview Kamala Harris before the presidential election. “Former President Donald Trump will sit with Joe Rogan for a taping of his podcast in Austin, Texas, on Friday, according to two sources familiar with the planning. Trump will visit Texas the same day Vice President Kamala Harris is slated to host a campaign rally in Houston,… pic.twitter.com/2yBzfcW22A — Chief Nerd (@TheChiefNerd) October 22, 2024 Trump previously told the Nelk Boys he would appear on Rogan’s podcast. “You’re doing a lot of podcasts recently. One that I would love to see you on is I think Joe Rogan has to have you on,” Kyle Forgeard said. “Would you do that?” he asked. “Oh, sure I would,” Trump responded. “I think I’m doing it, actually,” he added. “So you are going to do Joe Rogan,” Forgeard said. “Yeah I am,” Trump stated. “Trump confirms he’s going on Joe Rogan with the Nelk Boys!” the Nelk Boys wrote. WATCH: Trump confirms he’s going on Joe Rogan with the Nelk Boys! pic.twitter.com/cyMJSRnEFc — Nelk Boys (@nelkboys) October 13, 2024 From POLITICO: Rogan himself has been critical of Trump in the past. In July 2022, he called the former president an “existential threat to democracy.” Yet Rogan has more recently been complimentary of Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bulls*** down that’s going on in this country.” Trump and Rogan have also had friendly moments in recent months, such as when they have greeted each other at UFC events. The two also have mutual allies — a group that includes RFK, who endorsed Trump after dropping his presidential bid, and tech billionaire Elon Musk. Vice President Kamala Harris has also reportedly been in talks to go on Rogan’s podcast. A Harris spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her plans.

Major U.S. Newspaper Publication Will NOT Endorse Presidential Candidate

The Los Angeles Times, one of the 10 largest daily newspaper publications in the United States, will not endorse a nominee in the 2024 presidential election. The publication has endorsed every Democratic presidential nominee since the 2008 election. New: The Los Angeles Times will not endorse a candidate for president this year. This decision was made by the paper's owner Patrick Soon-Shiong. Scoop: The LA Times will not endorse a candidate for president this year, a decision that was made by the paper's owner Patrick Soon-Shiong. The LA Times has endorsed Democratic presidential candidates each cycle since 2008 https://t.co/uS3hETkLQV — Max Tani (@maxwelltani) October 22, 2024 Per Semafor: Last week, the LA Times published its electoral endorsements for the 2024 election. And while the paper noted in its first line that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation,” that was the only mention of the presidential race in its endorsements. The paper’s editorial board, which has endorsed Democratic candidates in every presidential race since it first endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008, was preparing to do so once again this election. But according to two people familiar with the situation, executive editor Terry Tang told editorial board staff earlier this month that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election this cycle, a decision that came from the paper’s owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a doctor who made his fortune in the healthcare industry. The paper did not explain its decision, though it noted at the bottom of its online endorsement page that “the editorial board endorses selectively, choosing the most consequential races in which to make recommendations.” JUST IN: The left-wing newspaper "Los Angeles Times" has decided NOT TO ENDORSE Kamala Harris for president. The Times has endorsed *every* Democratic presidential candidate since 2008. pic.twitter.com/loHOSqKbBp — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) October 22, 2024 From the Los Angeles Times: It’s no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation. And we’re not just talking about the presidential race. From the top of the ticket to local ballot measures, California voters this year are grappling with major decisions that will shape their lives and communities for years to come. To help voters decide, the Times editorial board offers recommendations based on interviewing candidates, campaign committees and policy experts, examining facts and claims and doing research to inform our endorsements. Every registered voter will be mailed a ballot in early October, allowing time to read up on the candidates, tune in to a forum, consider endorsements — including ours — and make a decision before the last day of voting on Nov. 5. The publication made endorsements in the following categories: Proposition 5 (Statewide) Proposition 36 (Statewide) Los Angeles City Council Districts 2, 10, 14 Los Angeles Community College District Seats 1, 3, 5, 7 Los Angeles County Superior Court Judges Office No. 39, 48, 97, 135, 137 State Assembly Districts 52, 57 U.S. House & Senate
