It was the Democratic presidential nominee’s second campaign event in the battleground state of Wisconsin on the day. About 20 minutes into Harris’ speech, a number of attendees were escorted out, while shouting “Jesus is Lord” at those around them. Unfazed, Harris stopped her remarks and countered. “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally,” she said. “No, I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.” The crowd erupted into cheers and applause as the protesters were shown toward the door. I would say she just lost the Christian vote, but I can’t believe she ever had it in the first place! Saturday Night Live is funny and relevant again! Why? Because they stopped trying to push a political agenda and decided to just be funny!  What a novel concept! And they’ve brought in some big names to do it, Jim Gaffigan as Tim Walz and the biggest of all, Dana Carvey as Joe Biden! His impression is perhaps the best Presidential (Residential??) impression they’ve ever had on the show, so I was fascinated to hear how he developed it. He explained recently on a podcast with David Spade…. Take a look: Really, really funny! Guess what? And by the way? No joke! Let me be clear! So good…. And if you want more on this topic, I have two related reports for you. Massive credit to my man Tyrus for this one…. He optimized his time recently interviewing President Trump by not just asking him questions but by presenting President Trump with an idea! How’s that for turning the tables? But of course it was done very respectfully and it was very well received by our President who seemed genuinely impressed that no one had suggested this before. We all know President Trump went viral earlier this year when he proposed “No tax on tips!” Remember this? BREAKING: Trump Promises to Stop Taxing Tips! From there the list grew to include some additional categories of tax-exempt groups: Social Security Benefits Recipients - Trump has proposed exempting Social Security benefits from income taxes. Individuals Receiving Tips - There's been mention of exempting tips from income taxes, which would primarily benefit service industry workers. Overtime Pay Earners - Exempting overtime pay from income taxes has been proposed, benefitting workers who earn overtime. Domestic Producers - Trump floated the idea of lowering the corporate tax rate to 15% for companies that produce goods in the United States, which isn't directly an income tax exemption for individuals but aims at incentivizing domestic production. Families Benefiting from TCJA - While not a new proposal for his second term, making the individual tax cuts from the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) permanent would continue to affect middle-class families by keeping their tax rates lower. However, this isn't specifically "no income tax" but rather reduced income tax. Estate Tax Modifications - Although this relates more to inheritance, Trump's plans included proposals to cap the estate and gift tax rate at no higher than 20% or make the higher exemptions from TCJA permanent, which indirectly affects individuals inheriting estates by potentially reducing or eliminating the tax on estates. Universal Savings Account Contributors - Although not directly an income tax exemption, Trump has supported the idea of allowing contributions to universal savings accounts with tax-free withdrawals, which could be seen as a tax benefit for savers. All great ideas! But Tyrus asked President Trump about an obvious group that is missing but might fit in very well to this list:  Military, Veterans, Police Officers, Firefighters and First Responders! Does anyone else feel like this is all building to a simple elimination of the IRS entirely? I do. I think President Trump is eating this Elephant one bite at a time, but at some point the momentum will shift to where so many people are exempt (and the country will be running on surpluses thanks to President Trump's tariffs) that he will simply declare the IRS to be eliminated at some point. That's my prediction. Your thoughts?

Florida police announced Thursday that they had arrested 25 illegal immigrants in a human trafficking sting earlier this month. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said in a news conference that his department had arrested 157 people as part of “Operation Autumn Sweep,” an undercover anti-human trafficking operation conducted from October 2 to October 7. Included in the arrests were illegal immigrants from Venezuela, Colombia, Honduras, Cuba, Guatemala, and Mexico. “Sixteen percent of these total arrests were people who should not even have been in this country,” Judd said. “But they were here. And they were here because we have a federal government that enabled these criminals to come into the country and then treated them very well after the criminals came here illegally.” In one instance, Judd said that one of the women arrested told authorities that she flew from Venezuela to Mexico before crossing into Texas where she was “greeted by Border Patrol.” “There was no sneaking. She flew in, she got here, she simply walked across the open border. There is no border security at the southern border. Zero. It doesn’t exist,” Judd said. Judd said the woman was told she would be eligible for benefits included SNAP, Medicaid, free housing, and free travel. “She was given free housing, all because the United States paid for that,” Judd said. “This was not a stealthful act, and they gave her free travel, free housing, free food, free medical care. All while people from the hurricane are still waiting for help.” Judd said that Travis Hutchinson, one of the men arrested during the operation, was trafficking two women from Colombia and Venezuela. They had been brought illegally into the United States by a human trafficker known as a coyote before they were sent to Florida. And then the best that our federal politicians can say was, ‘well, it didn’t kill as many people this year as last year.’” Another three of the suspects nabbed in the operation worked at Disney World, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s office. “We always arrest Disney employees,” Judd said, describing the operation. The Polk County Sheriff’s office was aided by law enforcement from surrounding counties and cities during the operation, which was cut short due to Hurricane Milton.
