The volunteers “spin” their arms like the wheels of a slot machine. When the spin stops, each volunteer grabs a random object and holds it up. If they show three identical objects, the contestant wins. Based on the famous “one-armed bandit” from casinos, the human slot machine is entirely random. According to the comments, a contestant pays five dollars for three spins. The “pot” starts with ten dollars and grows with each entry.
