Terrified As Her Numbers Among Black Men Dive, Kamala Rolls Out Plan For Them

Apparently frightened that her numbers among black men have plummeted, Vice President Kamala Harris rolled out a plan for aiding black men. “Vice President Harris Will Deliver for Black Men,” kamalaHarris.com states, then lists her “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men,” which includes: “Providing 1 million loans that are fully forgivable to Black entrepreneurs and others to start a business; supporting a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency and other digital assets so Black men who invest in and own these assets are protected; launching a National Health Equity Initiative focused on Black Men that addresses sickle cell disease, diabetes, mental health, prostate cancer, and other health challenges that disproportionately impact them,” and “legalizing recreational marijuana and creating opportunities for Black Americans to succeed in this new industry.” Harris rolls out 'Opportunity Agenda for Black Men' —1 million forgivable loans for black entrepreneurs starting a biz—Money for education/training programs—Protect cryptocurrency—Health initiative: sickle cell & other conditions—Legalize recreational weed to boost industry — Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) October 14, 2024   On Monday, CNN pollster Harry Enten spoke of how Harris’ support among black men has dwindled and is roughly half of what former President Barack Obama’s was. “You go back to November of 2012, what do you see?” Enten asked rhetorically. “You see Obama by 81, Clinton only won them by 63. Then we’re all the way down to Biden last time around by 53. A tremendous drop already. And then you take a look at the average of the most recent polls and Kamala Harris is up by only 41 points. That is about half the margin that Obama won them by back in November of 2012.” Asked about black men overall, Enten responded, “We’re looking once again at younger black men at what looks like the worst Democratic performance since 1960 since JFK versus Richard Nixon. It’s the same thing among black men overall. Again, part of a similar trend, but here, actually, the drop off isn’t as dramatic, right? Barack Obama won him by 85. Then you see 71 Clinton, 69 Biden, basically the same thing holding steady. But here, again, very, very weak, only a 54-point margin. Now, again, still winning them by a large margin, but considerably lower than what we’re used to. Certainly, considerably lower than what we had during the Obama years. The bottom line is Kamala Harris with younger black men and then black men overall putting in historically weak performance for a Democratic candidate.” In mid-September, Reuters reported, “Over one quarter of younger Black men say they would support Republican candidate Donald Trump in this year’s U.S. presidential election, an NAACP poll showed on Friday.”

Committee To Protect Journalists Laments Palestinian Reporters ‘Murdered,’ Downplays Israelis Killed

A prominent group promoting freedom of the press lamented the Palestinian journalists killed in Israeli attacks, but it did not show that same passion for Israeli journalists killed by Hamas last year. The Committee to Protect Journalists is an American nonprofit whose data on journalists killed or imprisoned is frequently cited by the media. The group lists journalists who have been killed in three categories — “murdered,” killed in “crossfire,” or killed on a “dangerous assignment.” Many Palestinian journalists killed by Israeli strikes are listed as “murdered.” For example, Al Jazeera reporter Ismail Al Ghoul, whom the IDF stated worked for Hamas, and his cameraman Rami Al Refee, who were killed in July by an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, are both listed as murdered. So is another Al Jazeera journalist, Hamza Al Dahdouh, and freelance video journalist Mustafa Thuraya, whom the IDF stated was a Hamas commander. The IDF’s assertions were disputed by Al Jazeera. Meanwhile, none of the Israeli journalists who were killed during Hamas’ brutal attacks on October 7 last year are listed as being “murdered” but rather as being killed by a “political group” while on a “dangerous assignment.” Several Israeli journalists who were killed by Hamas in their homes along with their families are listed this way, and so are several who were killed by Hamas while dancing at the Supernova rave party near Reim. Yaniv Zohar, an Israeli photographer for Israel Hayom, was murdered by Hamas in his home on October 7, along with his wife and two daughters. The Committee said the outlet’s editor-in-chief told them Zohar was “about to leave his home to cover the assault but was unable to do so.” Nevertheless, the Committee lists him as killed by a “political group” while on a “dangerous assignment.” Likewise, Roee Idan, an Israeli photographer for Ynet, was murdered by Hamas while holding his three-year-old daughter in his own yard on October 7. His wife was murdered inside their home, and his two other children, ages six and nine, spent 14 hours in the safe room with their mother’s body. The Committee lists him as killed by a “political group” while on a “dangerous assignment,” noting that he had taken pictures and video of Hamas paragliders and Gaza rockets before he was killed. Since Hamas’ attacks on October 7, the war has taken an “unprecedented toll on Gazan journalists,” the Committee said in its latest report. “Journalists in Gaza face particularly high risks as they try to cover the conflict, including devastating Israeli airstrikes, famine, the displacement of 90% of Gaza’s population, and the destruction of 80% of its buildings,” the group said. The group accused Israeli forces of directly targeting and killing at least five journalists and called for “an end to the longstanding pattern of impunity in cases of journalists killed by” the Israel Defense Forces. Israel Defense Forces officials have said they do not intentionally target journalists but have warned they cannot guarantee journalists’ safety during the war.

Kamala’s Campaign Is ‘Flawless,’ Media To Blame For Not Fawning Enough: Sunny Hostin

Kamala’s Campaign Is ‘Flawless,’ Media To Blame For Not Fawning Enough: Sunny Hostin

Sunny Hostin claimed on Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris — who is steadily losing ground in most polls — has run a “flawless” campaign so far. Hostin made the comments during a Columbus Day broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” and she argued that if Harris was floundering in the polls, it was the media to blame for not taking up for her as much as they should. WATCH: When answering why Kamala Harris isn't winning in the polls, Sunny Hostin claims Harris is "running a flawless campaign."Hostin insists "the press to blame for" Harris's polling problems. "I think that the media has to do a much better job than what they're doing." pic.twitter.com/wrwF43OZaX — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) October 14, 2024 Hostin, responding to a series of polls that have shown Harris flagging with men — even black men — and the latest NBC poll showed that any lead the vice president had garnered from the September 10 debate has since evaporated. “Look, I think that Kamala Harris has been running a flawless campaign,” Hostin said, arguing that she would not have been able to raise $1 billion if there was no real momentum behind her. “I think it’s because people believe in her, and I think people are showing that by the amount of money that they are willing to give to the campaign.” “I think we have the press to blame for a lot of this,” she added. “Whoopi, you always say that you don’t believe in polls. I’m with you now, because I’m reading the press. First it was, ‘Kamala’s not doing enough press.’ Then she goes on this huge press tour, she was here, with us, I thought she was fantastic.” Hostin left out the fact that Harris, during her appearance on “The View,” had flubbed even the softest of softball questions when she failed to answer how she would do anything differently than President Joe Biden had. “The crowd went wild, it was electric,” Hostin continued. “CNN: ‘Democrats grow anxious’; Axios: ‘Blue wall blues’; Fox: ‘Dems are scared to death.’ No! Dems are not scared to death. Dems are pumped.” Hostin went on to explain what she thought the press should be covering, beginning by echoing Harris’ recent speech verbatim and claiming that Trump was “in hiding” because he didn’t do the “60 Minutes” interview. She made no mention of Harris’ refusal to do the traditional candidate sit-down with TIME Magazine. She concluded by arguing that they were too focused on former President Barack Obama’s insulting comments toward black men — namely that if they weren’t falling in line behind Harris, they were sexists — and not focused enough on his “captivating” formal speeches.

Fox’s Bret Baier To Interview Kamala

Fox’s Bret Baier To Interview Kamala

Vice President Kamala Harris, who has mainly stuck to friendly interviews during her White House bid so far, will sit down with Right-leaning Fox News and its chief political anchor Bret Baier this week. The pre-taped interview will take place in the battleground state of Pennsylvania and air on Baier’s “Special Report” at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Wednesday— I’ll have an exclusive interview with Vice President Harris on #SpecialReport. pic.twitter.com/Ry63iNH4fW — Bret Baier (@BretBaier) October 14, 2024 It comes as polling shows Harris and former President Donald Trump in a close race. However, Trump has the “edge” on top issues in swing states, The Wall Street Journal reported last week. According to The New York Times, Harris’ interview with Fox News will happen shortly before airing and the network said it expects the discussion to last 25 to 30 minutes. “This week’s appearance marks her first formal sit-down interview on the network ever,” Fox said in a press release. Harris has begun to ramp up her interview schedule in the final weeks before Election Day after largely ducking the press early in her campaign and faces claims that she struggles without a teleprompter. She recently participated in a slew of relatively genial interviews, including ABC’s “The View,” Sirius XM radio host Howard Stern, late-night host Stephen Colbert on CBS, and Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy.” Another interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” has drawn controversy because the network deceptively edited remarks from Harris, leading to calls for more transparency and an investigation. On Sunday evening, Marc Benioff, the billionaire CEO of Salesforce, called out Harris for refusing to do an interview with his magazine, TIME, “unlike every other Presidential candidate.” Harris has also done a town hall with Univision and agreed to another one, held by CNN and moderated by anchor Anderson Cooper, on October 23. NEW >> VP Harris will do an interview with Fox News on Wednesday As of today, it has been **one month** since Trump’s been interviewed by a mainstream media outlet, as he has backed out of 60 Minutes and refuses to debate again Meanwhile Harris is willing to even go on Fox pic.twitter.com/A9VvW0MoeX — Ian Sams (@IanSams) October 14, 2024 Harris spokesman Ian Sams claimed Trump “backed out of” a “60 Minutes” interview and “refuses” to do a second debate. Trump said he rejected an invite from “60 Minutes” because CBS News still owes him an apology over an interview on the show in 2020 that he asserted was conducted unfairly. And, when it comes to the debates, Trump actually pushed for multiple face-offs in September against Harris shortly after she became the Democratic Party’s nominee. Harris refused to agree to a second one until the conclusion of their first face-off. Then she proposed a debate in October, but Trump said it was too late as votes were already being cast. Trump is set to participate in a Fox News town hall in Georgia on Tuesday with an all-female audience, and the event will air on the network on Wednesday. Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz, has participated in a number of interviews, including a “Fox News Sunday” appearance earlier this month. Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), Trump’s VP pick, has also hit the airwaves for the Republican ticket. He clashed with ABC’s Martha Raddatz this past weekend.

Tiffany Trump’s Journey into Motherhood: Navigating Family Legacy Challenges

Tiffany Trump, the youngest daughter of former President Donald Trump, is expecting her first child with husband Michael Boulos, marking a new chapter in her life away from the political spotlight. Trump announced the pregnancy himself during a campaign event at the Detroit Economic Club. The recent news has brought Tiffany to the spotlight for once which her mother Maples tried to avoid during her childhood. Tiffany has been able to carve her path by attaining a law degree from Georgetown University. A Surprise Announcement Former President Donald Trump took center stage to share some unexpected family news during a recent campaign event at the Detroit Economic Club. In a moment that caught many by surprise, Trump revealed that his youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, is pregnant with her first child. The announcement came as Trump was introducing his son-in-law’s father, Dr. Massad Boulos, who was present at the event. Trump’s words resonated through the room as he shared the joyous news, stating, “He happens to be the father of Tiffany’s husband, Michael, who’s a very exceptional young guy. And she’s an exceptional young woman. And she’s going to have a baby. So that’s nice.” This unexpected revelation quickly became a highlight of the event, shifting attention momentarily from politics to family matters. BREAKING: Trump just announced for the first time that his daughter, Tiffany Trump, is pregnant "She's going to have a baby, so that's nice." This child will be the first new grandkid Trump gets as the 47th President of the United States. Congratulations to the Trump family. pic.twitter.com/wBPOrH2jKP — George (@BehizyTweets) October 10, 2024 A New Chapter for Tiffany Tiffany Trump, 30, has often maintained a lower profile compared to her siblings. As the only child from Donald Trump’s marriage to Marla Maples, Tiffany grew up largely outside the intense spotlight that followed the Trump family name. This approach to her upbringing was intentional, as Maples once stated, “That was my choice, raising her outside of the spotlight.” “They always had a strained relationship her whole life, and it got exacerbated by the presidency,” a source close to Tiffany told PEOPLE in 2018. Despite the challenges, Tiffany has carved out her path. She holds a law degree from Georgetown University and has occasionally participated in family events, including a speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention. Her pregnancy marks a significant personal milestone, potentially bringing her closer to the family fold while maintaining her distinct identity. A Love Story Unfolds Tiffany’s journey to motherhood is intertwined with her romance with Michael Boulos. The couple’s love story began in 2018 when they met at Lindsay Lohan’s club in Mykonos, Greece. Their relationship blossomed, leading to a fairy-tale engagement in January 2021. Michael proposed with a stunning $1.2 million diamond ring in the White House Rose Garden, symbolizing the merging of their personal lives with Tiffany’s family legacy. “It has been an honor to celebrate many milestones, historic occasions and create memories with my family here at the White House, none more special than my engagement to my amazing fiancé Michael!” Tiffany captioned an Instagram pic of herself and her now-husband at the White House. “Feeling blessed and excited for the next chapter!” The couple sealed their union in a beautiful ceremony at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, in November 2022. Now, just over a year into their marriage, they are preparing to embrace the joys and challenges of parenthood together. Looking Ahead As Tiffany and Michael prepare for their new arrival, the Trump family is set to welcome its 11th grandchild. This pregnancy not only marks a new chapter in Tiffany’s life but also adds another layer to the complex tapestry of the Trump family dynamics. While Tiffany has maintained a degree of independence from her family’s political endeavors, this personal milestone may bring about changes in her public profile and family relationships. The news of Tiffany’s pregnancy serves as a reminder that amidst the often turbulent world of politics and public scrutiny, life’s personal joys and milestones continue. As the Trump family and their supporters celebrate this news, many will be watching to see how Tiffany navigates her new role as a mother while balancing her personal aspirations and family ties. JD Vance Champions “America First” and Early Voting in Tucson Speech

Senator JD Vance advocates for “America First” while urging early voting to bolster Arizona’s pivotal electoral influence. Governor Tim Walz also rallied in Arizona on the first day of voting. During Vance’s speech, he criticized the Biden-Harris administration for using FEMA funds to support millions of migrants over the past 3 years. He also shed light on the many crimes being committed at the border such as human trafficking and drug smuggling. Arizona as a Battleground State Arizona stands as a crucial battleground state with 11 Electoral College votes, pivotal in the upcoming presidential race. Recent polls indicate a slight lead for former President Donald J. Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris. Historically, Trump secured Arizona in 2016, while Biden narrowly achieved victory in 2020 by under 11,000 votes. This setting positions Arizona as a state with significant influence, yet without a clear favorite, thereby attracting attention from both major parties. Senator JD Vance, alongside Governor Tim Walz, made strategic appearances in key urban centers such as Phoenix and Tucson to emphasize voter participation. Recognizing Arizona’s historical electoral shifts, both leaders concentrated on galvanizing support through public engagements, including rallies and town hall meetings. Vance’s rally at Tucson Speedway, attended by approximately 500 supporters, highlighted the senator’s focus on early voter turnout. Vance getting the crowd PRIMED: “We can’t be intimidated. We cannot be stopped. We won’t be denied. We will Make America Great Again and we’re going to do it together!” Crowd: “USA! USA! USA!”pic.twitter.com/zv7G8XBtZz — Paul A. Szypula (@Bubblebathgirl) October 5, 2024 Promoting Early Voting and Policy Critiques Senator JD Vance advocated for early voting, a notable shift from his previous reservations regarding mail-in voting. He stressed the importance of overcoming past obstacles that impeded electoral participation. The call for early engagement aims to enhance voter representation and ensure that the electorate’s intentions are fully realized in the outcome. His stance on early voting contrasts with Trump’s skepticism, underscoring a need to maximize voter participation amid contentious electoral conditions. During his Arizona engagements, Vance critiqued the administrative decision to allocate FEMA resources for migrant housing over domestic disaster relief, emphasizing a need to prioritize American citizens first. His arguments highlighted potential socio-economic impacts, such as affordable housing shortages and increased living costs, attributing these issues to increased migrant support. Too big to rig!! pic.twitter.com/jLk2CkBTuE — Kristen Pruett (@KPruett1776) October 9, 2024 Strategies and Outcomes Vance’s rally speech in Tucson was truncated from 30 to 20 minutes due to rising temperatures but retained critical messaging regarding border security and immigration reform. He promised decisive action on border control, mass deportations, and preventing illegal activities like fentanyl trafficking should Donald Trump be re-elected. The senator also aimed at Kamala Harris, holding her accountable for the border crisis and failing to address global conflicts effectively. Criticism extended to proposals of ending FEMA funding for border response initiatives, which are utilized by local governments to support asylum-seekers. While emphasizing support for the military, Vance also received applause for proposing policies to protect American interests, drawing contrasts between Harris’s and Trump’s policy outlooks. What Do Zoo Animals Do During A Hurricane? Some Go In The Public Bathrooms!

When a hurricane is expected to make landfall, everyone in the path of the storm starts to prep. While some temporarily leave their homes, others find ways to stay safe right where they’re at. Then there are our animal friends. While many creatures find their own ways to stay safe, those in zoos have teams behind them, ready to protect them from the dangers that come with powerful hurricanes. Between Hurricane Helene and Milton, we’ve gotten a glimpse at the effort it takes to keep our animal friends safe. For example, a team in Tampa was tasked with riding out the storm with around 1,000 animals. Naples Zoo in Naples, Florida found themselves in that very situation. But where do you relocate animals during a storm like Hurricane Milton? For some, bathrooms are the perfect spot! See for yourself in the video below. @napleszoo We’d like to update you on the situation at the Zoo following Hurricane Milton. First, a BIG thank you to our hardworking staff who have risen to the challenge! While we’re experiencing some flooding, we’re happy to report that there is no major damage, and all our animals and staff are in good spirits. Our dedicated team is actively working to clean up the grounds. Although some pathways may still have water tomorrow, we’re excited to announce that we will be OPEN for Boo at the Zoo from 9 AM to 1 PM! Some of our entertainment advertised has changed. The Zoo will be open through 4:30 PM, tomorrow, and Sunday. Please note that due to the hurricane's impact, some animals may not be back in their habitats by tomorrow, and our Primate Expedition Cruise will be temporarily closed. We can’t wait to see you! #hurricanemilton ♬ A Gentle Sunlight – James Quinn “Our animal care staff has been working diligently to ensure all animals are in safe locations from the storm surge and wind predictions,” the zoo shared before the hurricane arrived. “… There are multiple concrete-block buildings throughout the Zoo where animals will ride out the storm and a fully trained team will be staying on-site throughout the storm.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Naples Zoo (@naples_zoo) Naples Zoo Shares What They Did to Keep Their Animal Friends Safe During Hurricane Milton Relocating zoo animals is no small task. That said, the safety of these creatures is more than worth the effort. Thankfully, this was seen in the zoo’s update once Milton passed. Because, although the zoo did experience flooding, that seems to be the worst of it.
