Iran Knew About Hamas’ October 7 Attack Far In Advance, Supported It: Report

Iran’s Islamic regime reportedly knew about Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attack at least several months before it was carried out in 2023, according to newly released documents that were discovered months ago inside Gaza. The New York Times obtained minutes of 10 secret meetings that Hamas held that included Yahya Sinwar and his top commanders in which they planned the massacre that killed more than 1,200 people. The Israeli military discovered the documents on a computer in January 2024 as they searched an underground command center in Khan Younis. “Members of and experts close to Hamas” confirmed to the Times that the documents were legitimate and authentic, the report said. The Washington Post reported that other documents from Hamas showed that the terrorist group had even deadlier plans for its attack on Israel. Hamas’ plans were based on more than 17,000 photographs of Israel that were taken from satellites, drones, and social media postings. Hamas planned attacks at additional Israeli military facilities, Ben Gurion International Airport, a 70-story skyscraper, and “the Azrieli Center complex which comprises three skyscrapers, a large shopping mall, train station and cinema.” The terrorist group searched for ways to destroy the skyscraper, hoping to replicate, on a smaller scale, Al-Qaeda’s September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the U.S. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has publicly claimed that Iran had nothing to do with the attack and was not aware of its planing. However, documents obtained by the various publications also debunk this false claim. It has already been established that hundreds of Hamas terrorists received “specialized combat training” inside Iran from the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF) in the months leading up to October 7. Iran sent Hamas at least $10 million, the documents state. But Sinwar wanted more and launched a “vigorous appeal” directly to Khamenei, requesting $500 million over the course of two years and training for 12,000 Hamas terrorists. “Iran trained Hamas and encouraged them to do exactly the things they did on Oct. 7,” said Farzin Nadimi, an Iran expert and senior fellow with the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. “Their goal was to get to the core of the Israeli state and crush it.” Hamas was ready to carry out the attack in July 2022, but decided to postpone it. The documents do not state why the attack was postponed, but based on details included in the notes, it is believed to be because they were trying to enlist support from Hezbollah and Iran. However, the terrorist group did not want to wait too long to launch the attack because Israel was on the verge of deploying a new laser defense weapon to shoot down rockets and missiles, the report said. Sinwar’s deputy, Khalil al-Hayya, discussed the attack in the summer of 2023 with senior IRGC commander Mohammed Said Izadi and asked for Iran’s help with striking sensitive Israeli military sites within the “first hour” of the attack, the report said. Izadi said that Iran supported the plan, but needed time “to prepare the environment.” While Iran did not conduct military strikes against Israel that day, it is not known, at least publicly, whether they provided any kind of logistical, surveillance, or other type of assistance to fulfill Hamas’ request for support during the first hour of the attack. It is clear, however, that Iran knew about the attack well in advance of the massacre. The Wall Street Journal reported that some of the documents dated back to 2019, when Qassem Soleimani was still the head of the IRGC-QF. Soleimani told Hamas that they had few allies in the region and that even Turkey, which likes Hamas, couldn’t provide “a single bullet” to the terror group. “The reality,” Soleimani said, “is that there is no one but Iran.”

Activist Scott Presler Reveals Two Facts That Make Him Think Trump Will Win Pennsylvania

Conservative activist Scott Presler revealed during an interview with Morning Wire why he believes former President Donald Trump will win the vital battleground state of Pennsylvania in the 2024 election. Presler, the head of Early Vote Action PAC, has been effectively leading grassroots efforts in Pennsylvania to register people to vote, taking aim at Amish residents and hunters, in particular, who are generally conservative and have low rates of voter turnout. “Let’s talk about the data for a second and why I think, objectively, we’re in the best place to win Pennsylvania [compared to] four or even eight years ago,” Presler told Morning Wire.  “Two things that really stick out to me are, a.) Since 2020, we have actually cut in half the amount of registered Democrats in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where they had an advantage of 650,000 four years ago,” he explained. “Now that advantage has been narrowed to 333,000.” “But the other thing that leads me to believe that President Trump has a real shot at winning Pennsylvania is that Democrats are down 416,000 mail-in ballot requests from where they were four years ago at the same time,” Presler revealed. “Those two data points show me Pennsylvania is in play,” he said. LISTEN to Presler’s interview on Morning Wire: “Flipping Pennsylvania: Trump’s Secret Weapon” “Some people are switching from Democrat to Republican — and I want to give a shout out to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for their destructive Democrat policies that are pushing so many Democrats over to our party,” the activist explained, adding that he’s also seeing “a lot of youth” register for the first time. Presler identified the top three issues in this election as the economy, immigration, and foreign policy. “There are three issues that are on people’s minds,” he said. “The first one that I hear every single day is the economy.” “I’m talking to this woman,” Presler recalled. “She was born in 1965, she’s never voted. She goes, ‘I’m registering and I’m voting because I can’t afford anything.’ This is, deeply, an economic election. People are struggling, moms are struggling to feed their kids, to afford mortgages.” “Number two, the issue at the forefront — I don’t care what state you’re in; I don’t care if you’re in Connecticut, Rhode Island — every state under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is a border state,” he said. “This is an immigration election.” “And third, and probably one of the reasons why so many young people are coming over to the Republican Party, is this is a peace, not war election,” he said. “I want to be overt in this messaging: [Russian President Vladimir] Putin did not invade Ukraine under President Trump. We had peace through strength. Israel was not genocided by Iran, a.k.a Hamas, October 7th, under President Trump. We are seeing new wars that wouldn’t have happened under President Trump, and didn’t happen.” “A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote to send young men and women under 35 to fight endless wars,” Presler closed. “A vote for President Trump is a vote for peace, and to make sure that young people are able to thrive and prosper in the United States of America and abroad.” Related: GOP Makes A Play For The Amish In Key Battleground State

Why the ‘bootstraps’ ethic matters more than ever in the current crisis

Plenty of ink, including my own, has been spilled in recent years debunking the Boomer mantra “pull yourself up by your bootstraps.” Millennials, who inherited a weaker economy, culture, and country than their parents, found this phrase unfair. Rising housing and education costs, stagnant real wages, and the influx of foreign ideologies and populations are not issues of individual effort. When older conservatives responded to these systemic grievances with calls for personal virtue, they deflected from the real issues, placing blame where it didn’t belong. In this context, “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” felt like a deliberate slight — and understandably so.It is possible to recognize the failings of the federal bureaucracy while maintaining faith in personal greatness.Yet the phrase still holds value. Young conservatives would be unwise to dismiss it entirely. Acknowledging the failures of the administrative state doesn’t mean rejecting the ideals of individual effort and resilience that “bootstraps” represent. To do so would be to accept a mainstream narrative of personal victimhood. It is possible to recognize the failings of the federal bureaucracy while maintaining faith in personal greatness. Appalachia’s response to Hurricane Helene illustrates this point. Most of the material, financial, and service-based donations to the victims came from individual citizens, not the government. Historically abandoned by the American government, Appalachians have literally pulled themselves up by their bootstraps. They have led rescues using mules and horses where machinery couldn’t reach, showing a self-reliance that contrasts sharply with federal inefficacy. North Carolina highlights the true American spirit — neighbors working together — and the impotence of the overburdened administrative state. The narrative of personal victimhood has never fully taken root in Appalachia. Its people's resilience demonstrates a resistance to this mentality. In other regions, where the victim mindset prevails, it stifles self-governance and achievement. Psychologically, it shifts responsibility outward, making people feel powerless to change their circumstances. It absolves individuals and groups of accountability. To those with a victim mentality, the idea of free will is foreign, and overcoming challenges seems impossible. This mindset rarely leads to passive acceptance of life’s circumstances; instead, it encourages what Nietzsche called “slave morality” — manipulation disguised as virtue, cowardice, passive aggression, and a sense of entitlement to others’ resources as compensation for their own struggles. This mindset paved the way for totalitarianism in the 20th century, using the politics of resentment as justification.Americans cannot afford to indulge in passivity or resentment, especially as challenges grow. No one is coming to save us. We must pull ourselves up by our bootstraps — to hope and persevere — not because it will change interest rates but because it is the only virtuous way to live or die.
