The water is so contaminated right now from the debris, the dead, and the mud that I have no idea when it will ever be actually safe to drink. There are three things I recommend grabbing: individual straw-type water filters, Aquatabs for water treatment, and a larger but still portable gravity-fed water filter I keep several of these splints kicking around in case of a broken bone.
