Democrats are continuing to lose ground among Hispanic voters, which could end up hurting Vice President Kamala Harris in November. The Cook Political Report’s database of crosstabs from polls shows that Harris currently leads Trump among Hispanic voters by an average of 12 points – a significant drop from President Joe Biden’s 23-point lead among Hispanics in 2020. Biden’s lead was also a drop from Hillary Clinton’s 39-point lead in 2016. Ruy Teixeira, a political scientist and commentator, wrote in his Liberal Patriot newsletter this week that Democrats underestimate the “seriousness” of the problem for three reasons. “(1) they don’t realize how big the shift is; (2) they don’t realize how thoroughly it undermines the most influential Democratic theory of the case for building their coalition; and (3) they believe that any Hispanic flirtation with the GOP is merely temporary—they will “come back home” to the Democrats,” he wrote. Teixeira also noted that the U.S. Census shows that Hispanics are the largest nonwhite population in the nation – and growing. Hispanics currently account for roughly 19% of the U.S. population, with African Americans making up about 14%. Harris is likely to still win Hispanics overall, just as Biden did in 2020, but Republicans’ continued gains among this voting bloc mean Democrats will have to make up the votes elsewhere, which may explain why so many Harris ads are focused on abortion. Even though Biden won Hispanics in 2020, then-President Donald Trump improved his vote share in 78 of America’s 100 majority-Hispanic counties, The Daily Wire reported at the time. The trend has continued nearly four years into the Biden administration, with Hispanic support in New Mexico dropping due to their disapproval of the president, The Daily Wire reported earlier this year. Polls in April also showed Biden’s support for Hispanics eroding, leading to speculation Democrats could lose Nevada and Arizona – two critical swing states. So, why are Hispanics leaving the Democrat party? This was explained following the 2020 election by Josh Zaragoza, a top Democratic data specialist in Arizona, who told POLITICO, “Most Latinos identify first as working-class Americans, and Trump spoke to that.” He also said that Hispanic men “are very entrepreneurial. Their economic language is more aligned with the way Republicans speak: pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, owning your own business.” Further, Democrats’ embrace of socialism can turn off Hispanic voters, who often escaped socialist dictatorships. After the 2020 election, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) said during a Democrat conference call that “Defund police, open borders, socialism — it’s killing us,” according to The New York Times. Gonzalez added during that call that the “average white person” may think of Nordic countries when they hear the word “socialism,” but Asians and Hispanics associate the word with despotic “left-wing regimes.” It appears Democrats have not learned from that call.

Women who accused former President Bill Clinton of sexually assaulting them criticized liberal media outlets for their silence on allegations against second gentleman Doug Emhoff, telling The Daily Wire that there is a double standard when it comes to allegations against powerful Democrats.  “Doesn’t this absolutely sum up the presence of the double standard?” asked Leslie Millwee, who accused Clinton of sexually assaulting her repeatedly when she worked at an Arkansas TV station in her twenties. “This is a glaring reminder of how your political affiliation determines your guilt or innocence — or silence by the MSM.”  Juanita Broaddrick, who alleged that Clinton raped her when he was the 31-year-old Arkansas attorney general running for governor and she was 35 and working as a volunteer for his campaign, said that the media silence on the matter reminds her of why she initially held her tongue about her allegations against Clinton.  “It reminds me of when I didn’t come forward due to being afraid, especially after Hillary threatened me,” she added. Though Broaddrick’s and Millwee’s allegations of sexual assault are much graver than the new allegation that Emhoff forcefully slapped his ex-girlfriend, the Clinton accusers pointed to similarities in how their allegations were treated by media and politicians.  In an explosive story published Wednesday, The Daily Mail reported that Emhoff had drunkenly and “forcefully slapped” his ex-girlfriend in 2012 at the Cannes Film Festival because he thought she was flirting with another man. Three friends confirmed the story to the Daily Mail, which did not identify Emhoff’s ex-girlfriend and only revealed that she is a “successful New York attorney. The publication included a photo of the couple, with the woman’s face blurred out, as well as a travel itinerary and email showing details about their stay in Nice, France. The Daily Wire reached out to both the White House and the Harris campaign without response. An unnamed spokesman for Emhoff told Semafor that the report is “untrue” and that “any suggestion that he would or has ever hit a woman is false.” “Of course he will deny,” said Broaddrick, when she learned of the statement. “Learned that from Bill Clinton.”  Millwee argued that when it comes to allegations against powerful politicians, “accountability is doled out based on the whims of the 90% liberal media, and your worthiness is then determined — whether it’s never reported, or like Hunter’s laptop or the Russian dossier, you are automatically evil and called a liar if you call them out with a reality check and the facts.”  She also pointed to The Daily Mail’s past reporting on Emhoff’s affair with his nanny.  “He, like Clinton, has a history including incredibly poor choices and lack of accountability,” she said. “While we don’t know exactly what he’s willing to fess up to regarding this slapping allegation, we do know about inappropriate behaviors, infidelities and impregnating his children’s nanny. What else don’t we know!? We know with certainty the MSM kills or hides anything they fear will hurt their left wing positions.”  “Wouldn’t it be terrific if facts mattered?” she asked. “If men in power were held accountable for their actions? If they didn’t sickeningly hide behind a powerful wife?”  Broaddrick made her allegations against Clinton public in 1999, telling the Washington Post that Clinton raped her while she was volunteering for his campaign. He allegedly asked her to chat but then changed the location of their chat repeatedly until they were alone in her hotel room.  She alleges that he began forcefully kissing her, pulled her onto the bed and raped her. During the alleged rape, Broaddrick says, Clinton allegedly bruised her lip with his mouth. She alleges that Clinton said as he departed: “You better get some ice for that,” before putting on his sunglasses and walking out the door.  Clinton’s legal team denied her allegations. Broaddrick has further said that Hillarly Clinton approached her after the alleged incident and told her, “I just want you to know how appreciative that Bill and I are for all that you’re doing for his campaign.” “She grabbed my arm very strongly and pulled me back to her, pulled me down to her face and said, ‘Do you understand everything you do?’” Broaddrick told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “And at that moment in time, I thought she knew. To me that was a threat.”  Millwee went public with her allegations against Clinton when she spoke to Breitbart News in October 2016. She accused Clinton of sexually assaulting her multiple times in 1980 while she was working at an Arkansas TV station.  “He followed me into an editing room,” Millwee told Breitbart. “It was very small. There was a chair. I was sitting in a chair. He came up behind me and started rubbing my shoulders and running his hands down toward my breasts. And I was just stunned. I froze. I asked him to stop. He laughed.” She described Clinton allegedly assaulting her a second time at the TV station, saying, “He came in behind me. Started hunching me to the point that he had an orgasm. He’s trying to touch my breasts. And I’m just sitting there very stiffly, just waiting for him to leave me alone. And I’m asking him the whole time, ‘Please do not do this. Do not touch me. Do not hunch me. I do not want this.’” There was a third occasion where Clinton allegedly performed the same assault on Millwee, and on a fourth occasion, he allegedly came to her home and repeatedly knocked on the door, telling her, “I know you are home. Please answer the door.” She told Breitbart that she did not answer the door.  The Clintons did not immediately respond to requests for comment for this story. 

Country singer Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault by a former hair and makeup artist who worked for his family. The 27-page lawsuit was filed on Thursday on behalf of “Jane Roe,” who claims the incidents occurred over several years. Roe said one of the alleged incidents included Brooks forcing her to touch his erect penis while she was styling his hair.  The suit also includes details of Brooks allegedly raping her in a Los Angeles hotel room in 2019 while she was helping him get ready for a Grammy tribute, per NPR. Roe accused Brooks of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks to her, talking about sex, sharing sexual fantasies, and sending sexually explicit text messages, per Today. The country singer also stands accused of “repeated remarks” about “having a threesome” with his wife, singer Tricia Yearwood. The plaintiff said she had initially worked for Yearwood beginning in 1999 and started working for Brooks beginning in 2017. Roe’s legal team noted that the “Friends in Low Places” singer filed a preemptive lawsuit anonymously in September, saying he was being extorted for money from a former employee because he had refused to give her a raise or pay for health insurance. Brooks has denied the allegations. A statement from his legal team said, “(Roe’s) false allegations and her threats to wrongfully assassinate (Brooks’) character through the public airing of such revulsive and untrue allegations have caused (Brooks) emotional distress including anxiety and fear for himself and his family.” It continues, “(Roe’s) attempted extortion of (Brooks) for millions of dollars through such untrue, lewd allegations constitutes intentional, outrageous conduct that was intended to and did in fact cause (Brooks) serious mental injury, amounting to an intentional infliction of emotional distress.” “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars,” Brooks said in the statement. “ It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face. Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another.” “We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides, ” he added. “I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. She is seeking monetary and punitive damages plus attorney’s fees. “We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks,” Roe’s legal team wrote in a statement. “The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.” “We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions and his efforts to silence our client through the filing of a preemptive complaint in Mississippi was nothing other than an act of desperation and attempted intimidation,” the statement says. “We encourage others who may have been victimized to contact us as no survivor should suffer in silence.” Brooks performed in Las Vegas on Thursday night just after the news broke. He addressed the drama with an Instagram post, writing in the caption, “If there was ever a night that I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night! Thank you for my life!!!!!”
