Democratic strategists are starting to have “alarm bells” about retaining Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin’s seat in November as polls show her lead over Republican challenger Eric Hovde diminishing.  Axios reported Thursday that there is “growing fear” among Democrats about Baldwin’s re-election campaign as her lead in internal polls has shrunk to just two points. According to the report, strategists believe the race is much closer than some polls indicate.  “Tammy Baldwin and her allies are panicking because momentum is on our side and they know we can WIN this race,” Hovde posted on X in response to the report.  A recent survey by the Cook Political Report also found Baldwin, vying for her third Senate term, with just a two-point lead. In the poll, Baldwin held a 49%-47% lead, a large drop from her seven-point lead in their previous poll.  “Both sides have largely consolidated their bases, and Baldwin leads among independent voters 50%-42%, though that’s an 11-point move toward Hovde since August,” Cook reported Hovde and Baldwin are set to debate on October 18 in Madison, just weeks before Election Day.  The Democratic fears come as Hovde has benefited from a recent influx of cash backing his campaign. The Republican Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC linked to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), is committing $17 million to elect Hovde.  Am I Racist? Republicans are currently expected to pick up seats in West Virginia and Montana, while races in states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are all expected to be competitive.  The Republican Senate Leadership Fund recently put $28 million into Pennsylvania and $22.5 million in Michigan to back the GOP candidates in its latest cash infusion. Former President Donald Trump is also focusing much of his attention on those same battleground states and currently trails Vice President Kamala Harris by about 0.8 percentage points in Wisconsin, according to an average of polls. Harris campaigned in Ripon on Thursday, while Trump is set to hold a rally in Juneau on Sunday.

Matt Walsh sat down with comedian John Crist to discuss some of the funnier aspects of the film “Am I Racist?” including how attendees of a white guild support group read The Daily Wire host’s Wikipedia page to police officers in an attempt to get him arrested. “I went to the cry room and while I was gone… they went to my Wikipedia page,” Walsh said on the “Net Positive with John Crist” podcast. “They’re reading my sins off my Wikipedia.” According to Walsh, only a brief moment of that incident is shown in the film’s final cut. Toyota joined the growing list of companies that are dialing back their LGBTQ sponsorships and diversity, equity, and inclusion commitments following exposés from conservative activist Robby Starbuck. The Japan-based car manufacturer told its 50,000 U.S. employees and 1,500 dealers on Thursday that it would “narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,” Bloomberg reported. Starbuck revealed last week that Toyota was sponsoring pro-LGBTQ events, including a children’s LGBTQ summer camp. A company spokesman told Bloomberg that following Starbuck’s exposé, the company received a few hundred queries from employees, questions from a “small population” of dealers, and around 30 calls from customers. The spokesman claimed that Starbuck’s revelations about Toyota were “negligible.” “Huge news: Last week we exposed @Toyota + @Lexus for going woke and now just one week later they’re announcing BIG changes!” Starbuck wrote on X. “Some highlights: No more involvement in pride parades, pride events or LGBTQ children’s summer camps. They will not participate in the @HRC’s [Human Rights Campaign] woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system. All BRG activities must be focused on the core business of Toyota and be open to all.” “I have to give the executives credit for taking this unifying action. It’s not easy to do but they’re preparing their business for future success by adopting corporate neutrality,” he added. “The companies who adopt neutrality will win the future because they don’t violate the core beliefs of the consumers they rely on.” Following Starbuck’s posts on social media about Toyota, the company said that the LGBTQ programs mentioned by Starbuck were led by employee groups, not the company itself. Film star Chris Pratt called on Americans to assist victims of Hurricane Helene however they could, noting that “it’s not government, it’s us” that makes our “country great.” “I think what makes this country great has always been the people in the community,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” said in a Thursday post on Instagram. “And the people who are willing to step up. A MarketWatch report detailed the estimated increase in the illegal immigrant population in the seven battleground states that will help decide the outcome of the presidential election between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. The drastic surge in the illegal immigrant populations of key battleground states has added to concerns that the Democratic Party is using mass immigration to achieve political power, as recent immigrants vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. Michigan, which carries 15 Electoral College votes, saw a 775 percent increase in its illegal immigrant population. President Joe Biden beat Trump in the midwest state in 2020 by roughly 150,000 votes, Trump won it in 2016 by just over 11,000 votes. Arizona saw a 734 percent increase in the number of illegal immigrants residing in the state, while Nevada experienced a jump of 562 percent. Biden beat Trump in Arizona by less than 11,000 votes. Wisconsin, Georgia, and North Carolina saw increases in their illegal immigrant populations of 467, 401, and 446 percent, respectively. Pennsylvania, worth 19 electoral votes, witnessed a 241 percent increase in their illegal immigrant population. Blue collar workers have earned the reputation of being on the tough side. That said, people are often much more complex than that. This can be seen in the way many of these workers go out of their way to help others. A particularly sweet example comes from a guy named Ethan.
