A new Florida law prohibiting homeless people from sleeping outside went into effect on Tuesday. House Bill 1365 prohibits camping on streets, sidewalks and in parks. Local governments are required to offer temporary housing, where individuals will be prohibited from using drugs. They will also be offered substance abuse and mental health treatment.

Florida's homeless law is now in effect. On Tuesday, sleeping or camping on public property in the state was made illegal, and camping areas must be set up to accommodate the homeless community. Statute 1365, formerly House Bill (HB) 1365, will make it illegal for people struggling with homelessness to sleep outside on public land.

US job growth surged in September, blowing past expectations and providing solid reassurance for the ongoing stability of the labor market. Employers added an estimated 254,000 jobs in September, according to data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
