The game was delayed as the Ravens’ medical staff tended to the worker and appeared to administer CPR to him. Players and coaches from both teams took a knee on the field as the situation unfolded. The employee was eventually loaded onto a stretcher and carted off the field. He appeared to have movement in his hands and arms as he exited the field. The Ravens provided an update on the chain gang worker shortly after he was taken off the field. The team posted a statement to X (formerly Twitter) that the employee was “alert and responsive” upon leaving the field and was taken to a local hospital. The emergency didn’t delay the Ravens vs. Raiders game too long. It resumed roughly six minutes after the delay began, with Lamar Jackson throwing a deep pass to Nelson Agholor that was deflected by Raiders defensive back Jakorian Bennett.
