Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, was found deceased inside his Tennessee home. He was 44. Bryar was the band’s longest drummer on record. According to TMZ, he was last seen alive on November 4th. Animal Control came to the house after the body — which we’re told was badly decomposed — was discovered and took two dogs away. The medical examiner is investigating the cause and manner of Bryar’s death. The album was certified quadruple platinum in the US and finished the year number one on the Billboard Top Rock Albums 2006, and number 2 on the Billboard 200. During the filming of the music video for “Famous Last Words” Bryar and lead vocalist Gerard Way suffered injuries, with the drummer sustaining third-degree burns and forcing the band to cancel an appearance at the San Diego Street Scene Festival, Billboard reported. Subsequent medical issues from Bryar forced several more shows to be canceled. Bryar parted ways with My Chemical Romance in March 2010; six years after he took over from Pelissier. “This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly,” the band said. “We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same.” Following stints helping other bands on tour, Bryar turned to working in the real estate industry, according to TMZ.
