Rose Wentworth lived on the grounds over 100 years ago when it was farmland. Her granddaughter founded what is now known as Grammy Rose Dog Rescue. She did it to honor her grandparents and her parents and help save the lives of homeless pups. This incredible dog rescue is located in Maine and attracts a ton of visitors each year. One of the reasons for that is because of its unique and cozy design. The dogs stay in little log cabins in their own dormitories. Gone are the cages of shelters! The aim of this rescue facility is to get dogs as acclimated to home life as possible before finding their forever families. These cottages are furnished like an actual house, providing dogs and guests with ample space to play and meet one another. The grounds also feature acres of wooded areas where the dogs get to explore during daily walks. Incredible Facilities As if cozy cabins were not enough, this dog rescue also features some incredible facilities for guests. The property features a mini golf course and an ice cream shop! These two additions help to turn it into a community space for dogs and humans alike. Also, all the proceeds go towards keeping Granny Rose Dog Rescue up and running. It also exposes the dogs to tons of people and gives them a chance to meet their forever family. The best part? Unlike other shelters where dogs have a time limitation, Granny Rose Dog Rescue keeps their four-legged tenants as long as they need. Luckily, this dog rescue oasis has a high track record of matching their pups with their forever homes. Now, with cute videos like this surfacing across the internet, I have a feeling this incredible place is going to get even more popular. Way to go, Granny Rose Dog Rescue, making the world a better place one pup at a time! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here.
