Today's country sucks with people like Beyonce, Nas, jelly Roll and a whole bunch of others. So, I'm posting classic/traditional country music!!

Richard Edward Arnold (May 15, 1918 – May 8, 2008) was an American country music singer. He was a Nashville sound (country/popular music) innovator of the late 1950s, and scored 147 songs on the Billboard country music charts, second only to George Jones. He sold more than 85 million records. A member of the Grand Ole Opry (beginning 1943) and the Country Music Hall of Fame (beginning 1966), Arnold ranked 22nd on Country Music Television's 2003 list of "The 40 Greatest Men of Country Music."

Tonight's double shot of great country music!

"What's He Doing in My World" is a 1965 single by Eddy Arnold. The single was Arnold's 20 number one on the U.S. country chart,

"Make the World Go Away'" is a country pop song composed by Hank Cochran. In 1999, the 1965 Eddy Arnold version of the song on RCA Records was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Bonus tracks.

"You Don't Know Me" is a song written by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker in 1955. "You Don't Know Me" was first recorded by Arnold that year and released as a single on April 21, 1956

"Bouquet of Roses" is a 1948 song written by Steve Nelson (music) and Bob Hilliard (lyrics). It was originally recorded by Eddy Arnold and his Tennessee Plow Boys and his Guitar in Chicago on May 18, 1947

"I Really Don't Want to Know" is a popular song written by Don Robertson (music) Howard Barnes (lyrics). The song was published in 1953.Eddy Arnold's version was a number one country song in 1954, and was on his album You Gotta Have Love (196

"I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)" is a 1947 song by Eddy Arnold. The song was Eddy Arnold's third number one

"Tennessee Stud" is a song written by Jimmy Driftwood, who originally recorded and released it in 1959. "Tennessee Stud" is considered to be Driftwood's most recorded song. Eddy Arnold was the first artist to cover the song.[3] His version was a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Country Singles chart in 1959, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in both country and folk categories the same year.

Eddy Arnold recorded "The Cattle Call" four times, at his first session in 1944, 1949, and in 1955 with Hugo Winterhalter's Chorus and Orchestra. The latter version spent 26 weeks on the country chart, peaking at number one for two weeks

Biden Calls for Unity in Oval Office Address

President Joe Biden addressed the nation Sunday from the Oval Office, calling for unity in the wake of the attempted assassination of the former President Donald Trump. It was his first Oval Office address since October 19, 2023, when he called for more U.S. aid to Ukraine and Israel. “A former president was shot. An American citizen killed while simply exercising his freedom to support the candidate of his choosing. We cannot, we must not go down this road in America,” he said.  Biden hearkened back to previous instances of political violence such as various attacks on U.S. congressmen and the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. “We cannot allow this violence to be normalized,” the president warned. “It’s time to cool it down.” Biden continued, “In America, we resolve our differences at the ballot box, not with bullets. The power to change America should always rest in the hands of the people, not in the hands of a would-be assassin.”  This was Biden’s third speech since the former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. It lasted about six and a half minutes.  Many found Biden’s pleas for unity unsatisfactory and not what is needed at this critical moment for America. The Fox News host Dana Perino said, “I thought that it felt short of meeting the moment…the president [Americans] REALLY want to hear from is Donald Trump.” The post Biden Calls for Unity in Oval Office Address appeared first on The American Conservative.

Trump assassination attempt may propel him to 'total victory'—analyst

The failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump may "propel" him to "total victory" in November's election, according to Republican strategist John Thomas, who said it will provide a "moment of unity." Former president Trump stood up bloodied after he was shot through his right ear when a gunman, who the FBI have identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, opened fire during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. After the Security Service declared the scene all clear, Trump stood up, surrounded by...

'A Threat': Biden, Democrats Spread Alarmist Rhetoric About Trump In Weeks Before Assassination Attempt

In the weeks preceding the assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump Saturday evening, President Joe Biden and Democratic leaders heightened their rhetoric against the former president, warning that Trump could become a dictator if allowed to retake the White House. "Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation," Biden remarked during a campaign rally in North Carolina in late June. "He is a threat to our freedom. He is a threat to our democracy. He’s...
