EXCELLENT! America-hating Somali CongressMuslim, Ilhan Omar, hit with ethics violations for holding a campaign rally with a former Somali Prime Minister

Recently, Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) held a campaign rally with a former Somali Prime Minister, who spoke in her favor, noting that she would “represent Somalia and not the interests of the American people in Congress.” “Ilhan’s interest aren’t those of #Minnesota or the people of #America but the interests of #Somalia” These were […]

Media Buzzword: Trump Used the Word “Fight”

“Fight” is the new “bloodbath.” The media is looking for a new soundbite to use against Donald Trump. The word “fight” might be it. CNN reporter Jamie Gangel criticized Donald Trump for using the word “fight” minutes after a lunatic tried to kill him and did kill an innocent man. Megyn Kelly verbally beat up […] The post Media Buzzword: Trump Used the Word “Fight” appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Biden Lectures On ‘Turning Down the Volume’ in Oval Office Address After Attempted Donald Trump Assassination

President Joe Biden called for “lowering the temperature” after the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. “We can’t allow this violence to be normalized,” Biden said in an Oval Office address Sunday night. “The political rage in this country has gotten very heated. It’s time to cool it down.” Biden cited the 2017 Congressional baseball shooting, the 2022 assault of Nancy Pelosi’s husband and kidnapping plot of Democratic Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in the same year. Biden also cited the January 6, 2021 riots at the U.S. Capitol. Biden did not mention the indictment of a man who told police he planned on murdering Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in 2022. “Politics must never be a literal battlefield. God forbid a killing field,” Biden said. “I believe politics ought to be an arena for peaceful debate, to pursue justice, to make decisions guided by the Declaration of Independence in our Constitution.” Biden has been under fire following resurfaced remarks during a call with donors last month following his disastrous debate performance where he said it was “time to put Trump in a bullseye.”  In recent social media posts, Biden has called Trump both “a threat to our democracy” and a “genuine threat to this nation.” Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation. He’s a threat to our freedom. He’s a threat to our democracy. He’s literally a threat to everything America stands for. — Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) June 28, 2024 Biden said that in the time leading up to the election Americans face “a time of testing.” “The higher the stakes, the more fervent the — passionate become,” he said. “This place is an added burden on each of us to ensure that no matter how strong, our convictions almost never descend into violence.” Biden added that he expects to be under scrutiny at the Republican National Convention this week and that he will be traveling the country to make the case for his vision. “The power to change America should always rest in the hands of the people, not the hands of a would-be assassin,” Biden said. Biden also mentioned his belief that “foreign actors fanned the flames of our division.” The motive and affiliations of the shooter are unknown, according to Biden. “We do not know the motive of the shooter yet. We don’t know his opinions or affiliations. We don’t know whether he had help or support or if he communicated with anyone else. Law enforcement professionals, as I speak, are investigating those questions.” Biden said he spoke to Trump on the phone Saturday night, adding he is “glad he is doing well.” Biden gave his condolences to the family of 50-year-old Corey Comperatore, who was killed while trying to protect his wife and daughters when shots began. “Corey was a husband, a father, a volunteer firefighter, a hero sheltering his family from those bullets,” Biden said. “We should all hold his family and all those injured in our prayers.” “Let’s never lose sight of who we are. Let’s remember we are the United States of America,” Biden concluded. “There is nothing, nothing, nothing beyond our capacity when we do it together.” Biden called for a “thorough and swift” review of the security situation at the rally following a meeting with his homeland security team in the White House Situation Room. “I’ve instructed that this investigation be thorough and swift, and the investigators will have every resource they need to get this done,” Biden said. “I’ve directed an independent review of national security at yesterday’s rally to assess exactly what happened and we’ll share the results of that independent review with the American people.” Ben Shapiro berated the mainstream media for its divisive political rhetoric that he said may have influenced someone to act on the claim that Trump is evil. “The actual story here is an entire political party — an entire political side of the aisle — geared around the idea that Donald Trump is a grave existential threat to democracy and then someone took that seriously, presumably, and tried to shoot the former president of the United States,” Shapiro said during a special episode of the Ben Shapiro Show on Sunday.

FDA Issues A Grade II Recall On Jarred Tomato Sauce Due To Improper Processing

FDA Issues A Grade II Recall On Jarred Tomato Sauce Due To Improper Processing

Last month, the FDA issued a recall on Hudson Harvest Tomato Basil Sauce after learning that jars of the product were underprocessed. On Friday, the administration elevated the recall to “Grade II.” Hudson Harvest announced a voluntary recall on June 18 due to “swelling, leaking, or bursting jars.” “There is a possibility that the product has been under-processed, which could lead to the potential for spoilage organisms or pathogens,” reads a statement. “Spoilage is usually caused by growth of microorganisms following leakage or underprocessing,” the FDA writes on its website. Leakage occurs from can defects, punctures, or rough handling. Contaminated cooling water sometimes leaks to the interior through pinholes or poor seams and introduces bacteria that cause spoilage.” Hudson Harvest Tomato Basil Sauce Risk Level Elevated After Initial Recall On July 11, the FDA elevated the recall classification to Grade II, which means there is “a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.” In an email to Newsweek, a spokesperson with the FDA wrote that a main concern is the possibility of pathogenic bacteria, “which can have serious health consequences.” The affected Hudson Harvest Tomato Basil Sauce was sold in 16-ounce clear glass jars with UPC #: 683720301567 and lot # 1042426. You can find the UPC above the bar code and the lot # on the side of the jar. The products were sold throughout New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut in May and June. Pastoral Prayer after the Failed Assassination of President Trump

Pastoral Prayer after the Failed Assassination of President Trump

It is with profound shock, grief, and sadness that our country is once again facing the specter of political violence. The assassination attempt on President Trump as he spoke at a Pennsylvania rally yesterday was an evil act that deserves condemnation across our society and among all of Christ’s servants. Murder and its attempt is a violation of God’s law. It is an attack on his image. Political violence is not only an attack on a person but also an attempted subversion of the cherished liberties and the Constitutional order on which our Republic is founded. Many of us can recall such attacks in our lifetime, and it is right that we decry and lament them at every turn. We may better do this today by humbly acting together as God’s people in the following ways. First, we must give thanks to God that the life of President Trump was spared. While this heinous act injured him, it did not kill him, and for this, we may be genuinely grateful. Please join me in praying for his recovery, the comfort of his family, and his future protection from such harm. Second, we must grieve and pray for the innocent, slain, and injured attendees of the rally and their families. This is a horrific personal crime, changing so many lives forever. The trauma of such loss and pain is great, and we must uphold all those overwhelmed with the agonizing weight of this sorrow. In addition, we can and must pray for our country today and for all those who serve us in positions of authority and protection. How easily we forget those who are prepared to risk their lives to defend us; how quickly we forget to pray for those in office and those who aspire to such positions. Our renewed commitment to such prayer is of critical importance. With one voice, we must reject all political violence and remind those who even jokingly refer to such terrible things that this can have no place in our society, and we must give it no place in our fellowship. As long as nations and governments exist, there will be political disagreements and differences. We must find the grace to speak of candidates and one another in ways that are not dehumanizing and give rise to extremists and their violent acts. Our prayer for President Trump today and all who seek to hold high office must be accompanied by prayer for those already serving us: President Biden, Governor DeSantis, our senators and representatives, and all justices, whether serving at the state or federal level. Let us also remember our respective mayors, city council members, and other officials. I hope that out of the ashes of this terrible act, a more gracious discourse and debate, a less extreme and polarized posture, and a more gracious and generous concern for one another during this election season will emerge. May God find us regularly praying together in our families and with one another for our country and for his protection and wisdom now and in the coming months. Here is a prayer can offer together today: Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure conduct. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom, in thy name, we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all of which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. May Christ’s peace be yours, David Cassidy

What a Trump Rally Attendee Saw During and After Shooting

The Daily Caller News Foundation—A special guest invited by former President Donald Trump’s team to his Pennsylvania rally provided the Daily Caller News Foundation videos he took as gunfire erupted in a failed assassination attempt against the GOP’s presumptive nominee. Benjamin Shrader, who is an event coordinator and CEO of Shrader Promotions LLC, was invited Thursday to Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Shrader provided videos to the DCNF that document the moments when a rally attendee was hit as several rounds were being fired at the crowd. Shrader said he was given the opportunity to meet with Trump after arriving at the event, snagging a picture with the Republican presidential nominee, noting his “very nice” and happy demeanor, before taking his seat within the VIP section located to the left of the stage. Shots began to ring out round 6:11 p.m. EDT as Trump was addressing those in attendance.  “I was sitting next to, I believe, [the] third row back. So next to the bleachers, but very close to the president. So he gets up, everybody’s cheering, you know, everybody’s talking. He pulls up a chart and then I then I hear it was — and what strikes me is it was quiet. I hear pop, pop, pop, pop and like the sound of darts almost. Or like a cartoon sound, it was very odd,” Shrader told the DCNF.  “So I duck and then I turn and I look behind me. Take in mind most people during this are saying, ‘Oh my god, they let somebody sneak fireworks in.’ People are not freaking out yet. But I turned around and maybe like three to five meters behind me I could not tell if it was a man or a woman, but there was someone with a massive amount of blood and it was spilling,” Shrader continued. “I’ve never seen somebody get shot before, but yeah, it was bad.” Videos recorded by the CEO, which have been obtained by the DCNF, capture the shock from crowd members nearby. In one clip, a woman near Shrader could be heard yelling “Oh, my God,” while a man was seen standing and yelling “one shot.” Others in the video can be heard shouting for a medic. “I think that a lot of people didn’t realize what was going on. There was a lot of confusion at the time and I don’t, I think there were — and also take in mind there was no cell service, because everyone was on their phones, so no one has any information but rumor. And because of that I believe some people knew what was going on and were panicking,” Shrader said.  “Some people were sort of kind of where I was, a forced calm, that this is a dangerous situation you need to remain calm. Other people were confused, other people were angry that something had happened. I had multiple people in the crowd say, ‘Oh, no, he didn’t get shot, he didn’t get shot.’ I think there was a lot of confusion and there was nobody [who] really knew what was going on,” Shrader continued. Video footage online quickly circulated of the moment the attack happened. Trump could be seen speaking to the crowd before multiple gunshots could be heard echoing throughout the audience. Images captured by New York Times photographer Doug Mills showed blood on Trump’s hand as he pulled it away from his right ear in response to a bullet speeding by. Shrader stated Secret Service agents immediately had swarmed the stage to protect the former president, and estimated the shooter was taken down by authorities within a span of 5-10 minutes after the attack. “What’s crazy is, to me, where that building was, where I was sitting, and where the president was, I mean it was a line. I was right in the line of what was going on. It’s crazy, I mean just look across whatever room you’re in,” Shrader told DCNF.  “It’s like that’s how far the person was from me. I’m so very — thank God, you know, I had my rosary beads in my pocket because it could have been a very different day for me and my family.” “I’m gonna be there [at the polls] no matter what. I always have seen [that] voting is the importance of civic duty. I put on my dress shirt, I go. This would only make me support him more and I think that that was the effect that it had throughout the crowd. He showed a lot of courage and strength, you know, you’d think most people would dive down when they get shot, but he put his fist up,” Shrader said Shortly after the attack, an emergency doctor who was in the crowd at the time told CBS News how he attempted to help save a man’s life who had been struck by a bullet. The doctor could be seen covered in blood, and described to the reporter how the victim had been shot in the head. “There was lots of blood and he had brain matter there,” the doctor said. The doctor noted he performed both chest compressions and CPR on the victim. A 50-year-old former volunteer fire chief of Buffalo Township, Corey Comperatore, died in the attack, his family members posted on Facebook. Originally published by Daily Caller News Foundation. This article has been modified to remove the shooter’s name. The post What a Trump Rally Attendee Saw During and After Shooting appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Cat Sits Outside, Trying to Get Inside a Building for Weeks Until a Couple Steps in to Help

A cat sat outside, trying to get inside a building for weeks until a couple stepped in to help. Galante the catShane and BeccaAn orange and white cat found himself stuck outside his home, unable to find a way back in. He was lost and confused, waiting around the building for about two weeks."This friendly cat (Galante), got out of a first-floor window. When he tried to return inside the apartment, his owner wouldn't let him. It turns out that Galante has been living as an 'indoor/outdoor cat' for over a year. He's had some hard times, but that will all change," Little Wanderers NYC shared.Kind-hearted tenants had been feeding him, but with the thunderstorms and fireworks coming, they wanted to get him to safety soon. He sat outside for weeks, trying to get back into the apartmentLittleWanderersNYCA volunteer rescuer for Little Wanderers NYC sprang into action and rushed to find the cat. Galante was timid around strangers, hiding in the bushes, using his wits to survive the outdoors.A humane trap with food was carefully placed near the bushes, setting the rescue into motion. After waiting a while, Galante emerged from his hiding spot and began inspecting the trap. He hid in the bushesLittleWanderersNYCHe was cautious and clever, walking in and out of the trap a couple of times. Overcome by hunger, he entered the trap again for the food. Once the rescuer safely secured the cat, they took him to the vet to get him the care he needed.Galante was understandably scared after the ordeal, but that would soon change. LittleWanderersNYCWhen Shane and Becca, a cat-loving couple, heard about Galante's plight and his need for a foster home, they promptly stepped up to help. The couple was smitten with Galante, who looked like a carbon copy of their own cat, Reggie. They settled him into a comfortable, quiet room with plenty of food, soft beds, and all the amenities. Galante on his way to his foster homeShane and BeccaThey gave him the space he needed to feel safe while talking to him softly to get him used to their voices.Slowly but surely, Galante came out of his shell to explore. He was pleased with the numerous napping options, delicious treats, an assortment of toys, and a large cardboard box at his disposal. Slowly but surely, he came out of his shellShane and BeccaThat night, he dozed off in his cozy bed, surrounded by his blanket fort, making up for lost sleep. Those days of hiding in the bushes and waiting to get inside are gone. Galante is relieved and content to have a roof over his head and kind humans to cater to his needs. Shane and BeccaNo longer needing to hide, he's blossomed into his true self.He has become a loving companion to his foster parents and a gentle friend to the resident cats. He's discovered the office chair and likes to hop on it to "keep it warm." He likes other cats and is overall a sweet, gentle, polite kitty who is insanely smart and responsive."
