Rebel Wilson Says She Gained Back 30 Lbs. After Massive Weight Loss: ‘Makes Me Feel Bad About Myself’

Actress Rebel Wilson made headlines for her massive 80-pound weight loss after she embarked on a “year of health‚” but now the actress admitted she’s gained some weight back due to work and stress. “Working really hard has meant that‚ coz [sic] of all the stress‚ I’ve gained 14kg’s (30 pounds)! It makes me feel bad about myself … it shouldn’t … but it does‚” the 43-year-old “Pitch Perfect” star shared on Instagram alongside a photo of herself in a hot tub. “I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir‚ it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle‚” she added. “Anyone else going through the same thing?”   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Rebel Wilson (@rebelwilson) The comments section on the post was flooded with words of support and solidarity from Wilson’s 11.1 million followers.  “Losing weight is the easy bit … keeping it off is the biggest battle‚” one popular comment said. “It’s hard! Everyone is proud of you‚ but we already loved you‚ didn’t we? No matter what size‚ you’re still beautiful &; hilarious. Not everyone was meant to be a size 2. Certainly don’t feel BAD about it‚” another person wrote. Wilson previously said her team was not fully on board when she told them she was planning to lose weight. The actress had made a name for herself playing overweight characters in comedies at that point‚ like “Fat Amy” in the “Pitch Perfect” franchise‚ as The Daily Wire previously reported. “I got a lot of pushback from my own team actually‚ here in Hollywood‚ when I said ‘Okay‚ I’m going to do this year of health‚ I feel like I’m really gonna physically transform and change my life‚’” the “Bridesmaids” actress said during a 2021 interview with BBC. “And they were like‚ ‘Why? Why would you wanna do that?’ Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person‚” she continued. The actress said she worked on incorporating healthier habits during her “year of health” and stopping the use of food as a coping mechanism for difficult emotions. Wilson said she was also inspired by a fertility doctor who told her she would have an easier time getting pregnant if she lost weight.

Biden Admin Demands Texas Relinquish Border Park Targeted By Illegal Immigrants

The Department of Homeland Security is demanding that Texas relinquish control of a border park that the Texas National Guard occupied last week as part of the state’s crackdown on illegal immigration.  In a cease-and-desist letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton provided by NBC News‚ the DHS said that the Texas National Guard needs to cede control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass back to the Border Patrol. There have been surges of illegal immigrants coming into Texas through Shelby Park and Texas has argued that federal officials have only exacerbated the crisis leading the state to block off access to the area to federal agents.  “The recent actions by the State of Texas have impeded operations of the Border Patrol. Those actions conflict with the authority and duties of Border Patrol under federal law and are preempted under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution. Texas’s actions also improperly seek to regulate the federal government‚” DHS General Counsel Jonathan Meyer wrote to Paxton.  “While Texas has claimed that it has re-opened the use of Shelby Park to the public‚ it continues to prevent Border Patrol from entering‚ and from using the area under the adjacent port of entry where Border Patrol has certain property stored for use when migrants are apprehended‚” the letter added.  The DHS wants Texas to remove all barriers to access they have put up in the park and give the federal government access to the area. It said it would consider all options to end Texas control of the area if Texas does not follow the DHS’s request.  CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP The letter also suggested that Texas was partially responsible for the death of three migrants who were attempting to cross the Rio Grande near the park. The letter claimed that Texas “refused” to help the two migrants‚ a claim that the Texas Military Department has disputed. “TMD had a unit in the vicinity of the boat ramp and actively searched the river with lights and night vision goggles. No migrants were observed‚” the Texas Military Department said. “At approximately 9:45pm TMD observed a group of Mexican authorities responding to an incident on the Mexico-side of the river bank. TMD reported their observations back to Border Patrol and they confirmed that the Mexican authorities required no additional assistance.” The letter is part of the ongoing feud between Texas and the Biden administration over the southern border. Texas has argued that President Joe Biden’s policies have encouraged record surges at the border and that the federal government has not done its duty to secure the border.

Team Biden Reports Big Fundraising Numbers For End Of 2023

Team Biden Reports Big Fundraising Numbers For End Of 2023

President Joe Biden‘s re-election effort announced fundraising numbers on Monday that the campaign touted as a significant indicator of strong public support despite polling that signals trouble ahead and other challenges on the horizon. Donors gave Biden’s team and allied entities of the Democratic Party $97 million in the final three months of 2023 and their $117 million cash on hand is “the highest total amassed by any Democratic candidate in history at this point in the cycle‚” boasted a campaign email reported by the Washington Examiner. The haul not only outpaced fundraising in the previous two quarters the $71-$72 million range but also eclipsed the $68 million former President Barack Obama’s re-election endeavor got in the fourth quarter of 2011. But‚ as noted by some in the media‚ Biden’s fundraising muscle is less impressive when the numbers are adjusted for inflation and because it was relatively recently — when Obama ran in 2008 — that major candidates began to break away from the modern public financing model and its limits. Former President Donald Trump‚ the Republican leading in the polls heading into the Iowa caucuses on Monday‚ has not released his 2023 fourth-quarter fundraising numbers as of press time. Trump’s third quarter filing‚ for July through September‚ showed that his re-election effort raised about $45.5 million and had $37.5 million cash on hand. That war chest put Trump ahead of the other GOP candidates. Like Biden’s team has done‚ Trump’s campaign claimed the numbers were fueled by robust grassroots support. Both frontrunners are faced with hurdles this election year. Trump is spending a great deal of time and resources trying to fend off an array of criminal and civil cases in court. He is also contending with efforts to remove him from the ballot in a number of states. Biden is far and away the favorite to win the Democratic Party’s nomination‚ but he is grappling with low approval numbers and questions about his fitness to continue serving while in his 80s. And there remain policy challenges such as border security and political minefields‚ including a corruption-focused impeachment inquiry that has embroiled the president’s family. It also remains to be seen just how much of an impact a third-party candidate will have on the general election‚ particularly a well-funded effort boosting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.‚ as voters show little appetite for a 2020 rematch between Trump and Biden. Yet for the moment‚ as the country waits to see how Iowa’s first-in-the-nation GOP caucuses pan out‚ the team behind Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris is voicing optimism as donations surge in their direction. “The Team Biden-Harris coalition knows the stakes of this election and is ready to win this November‚” said Biden’s campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez‚ according to The New York Times. “These numbers prove that the American people know the stakes and are taking action early to help defeat the extreme MAGA Republican agenda again.”

If Biden’s Polls Get Worse This Summer‚ Look Out Taiwan

If Biden’s Polls Get Worse This Summer‚ Look Out Taiwan

There’s a serious major crisis on the foreign policy front‚ and it’s going to get worse if Joe Biden is trailing in the polls come the summer. China is looking at a low reproduction rate of close to one birth per woman‚ and the government is blowing up empty hotel buildings. The Chinese government has sunk all their money. They have borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars‚ and they plowed money into building empty skyscrapers‚ ghost cities in the middle of nowhere. And then they “convinced” people in China to take their life savings and put them in these empty apartments. And the empty apartments are worth zero dollars. China built them; now they’re blowing them up to create artificial scarcity. China’s economy is not in good shape. China has serious systemic problems. One of those big systemic problems is that the less access they have to the modern military technology available in Taiwan‚ for example‚ the less competitive they are with the United States. So they are falling further behind. WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show But — the one thing they have going for them is a perception of Biden’s weakness. If we get to June‚ July‚ and August‚ and Biden is seriously trailing in the polls‚ we could see China decide their window is closing‚ knowing that if they don’t go after Taiwan they would be in trouble because a GOP president would not treat the situation the same way as Biden would. Biden has been extremely conciliatory towards Xi Jinping‚ so China may think to themselves‚ “We better do this now before Joe Biden is out of office.” But if they invade Taiwan‚ the American election will turn into a blowout win for the GOP. If we’re in the middle of a war with China‚ or at least a standoff over a blockade of Taiwan‚ things would get even more dicey for Biden’s reelection efforts. The voters of Taiwan have made it clear to China that they have no intention of appeasing them. Good for them. NBC News reported: Voters in Taiwan elected Vice President Lai Ching-te as their next president on Saturday‚ defying warnings from Beijing not to support a candidate it has called a separatist and a ‘troublemaker.’ The election‚ which China has described as ‘a choice between war and peace‚’ could test recent efforts by Beijing and Washington to repair relations that in recent years have fallen to their lowest point in decades. … Lai’s victory extends the eight-year rule of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)‚ which is considered the least friendly party to Beijing. Relations between Taiwan and China have deteriorated under President Tsai Ing-wen‚ who was first elected in 2016 and is limited to two terms. Voters in Taiwan‚ especially younger ones‚ were concerned not just with China policy but with economic issues like unemployment‚ housing costs and income inequality. Lai won with 40% of the vote‚ compared with 33% for Hou Yu-ih of the main opposition party‚ the Kuomintang‚ and 26% for Ko Wen-je‚ founder of the populist Taiwan People’s Party. Hou and Ko‚ who both favor closer ties with Beijing‚ had argued that the DPP’s policies toward China were too confrontational. So if you’re China‚ you’re looking at a more confrontational Taiwan. And if you’re China and you are looking at a conciliatory Biden administration that may be losing to Donald Trump‚ that may be a time you start thinking very seriously about accelerating whatever military plans you have for Taiwan.
