Decision Desk HQ Projects Winner In Razor-Thin Nevada Senate Race

The U.S. Senate race in Nevada between incumbent Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Republican challenger Sam Brown is a nail-biter. Rosen pulled ahead of Brown early Thursday and leads by about 13,000 votes. With roughly 95% reporting, Decision Desk HQ projected Rosen to fend off the challenge. KLAS 8 News Now reports: Incumbent Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen pulled ahead of her opponent, Republican Sam Brown, early Thursday as Clark County added about 55,000 votes to its total. As of midnight Thursday, Rosen led Brown by 12,699 votes — or about 1%. The new batch of votes included Election Day mail and ballots dropped off at voting locations on Election Day, the county said. As of Thursday morning, the Associated Press had not called the race in either candidate’s favor. 8 News Now believes that at least several thousand mail-in ballots had yet to be processed in Clark and Washoe counties. Jacky Rosen keeps Nevada Senate seat in Democratic hands https://t.co/4Zf6tD1aC2 — The Hill (@thehill) November 7, 2024 Las Vegas Review-Journal reports: On Wednesday night, Brown had been ahead of Rosen by 2,188 votes, which had been up slightly from his lead of 1,757 votes earlier Wednesday evening and his Wednesday morning lead of more than 6,000 votes. Clark County had been expecting to release results for about another 55,000 mail ballots late Wednesday. Both Brown and Rosen remained optimistic late Tuesday night. “We are not letting up now. Not now,” Rosen told supporters at the Aria after midnight. “We’re going to win this race.” Brown said during a watch party at Red Rock that there is a lot to celebrate. The closeness of the race is no surprise, with Nevada’s last Senate race in 2022 also a nail-biter. It wasn’t called until four days later, and Democratic Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto won her re-election by less than 0.1 percentage points. Rosen encouraged supporters to knock on doors and make calls to help voters cure their signatures. Clark County reported 12,000 ballots needed to be cured Wednesday morning. Decision Desk HQ has the Senate tally at 52-46 in favor of Republicans. Arizona and Pennsylvania are the last two undeclared races. * Image from Decision Desk HQ *

Decision Desk HQ Finalizes Electoral College Count – Trump SWEEPS Battleground States

Decision Desk HQ projected the winner of its final undeclared state Wednesday evening. The outlet announced Trump as the winner in Arizona, giving him a clean sweep of the battleground states. The Republican leads Vice President Kamala Harris 52.1% to 47%, with 67% of votes counted, the Associated Press reports. Trump’s victory in Arizona, with its 11 electoral votes, follows that in neighboring Nevada, where he picked up 6 — a feat no Republican has completed in 20 years. Both candidates made their final trips to the southwestern swing state on Halloween, haunting Arizonans with their contrasting visions of how scary America could get if their opponent won. Landslide. pic.twitter.com/xQAhXMVP7Y — The Post Millennial (@TPostMillennial) November 7, 2024 The Hill reports: Trump has secured the 270 electoral votes needed to win the White House following a roughly 100-day campaign between him and Harris. With the Arizona win, Trump has acquired total of 312 votes while Harris got a total of 226. Several prominent Republicans in the state endorsed Harris, including former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who most recently served as ambassador to Turkey during the Biden administration, and Mesa Mayor John Giles. But even those prominent GOP defections were not enough to put Harris over the top. The state became fertile ground for election denialism after the 2020 presidential election as Trump and others contested the results of the last presidential cycle despite audits and court challenges pointing to the fact that no widespread fraud occurred. There was particular focus on Arizona this cycle given that it was also home to a competitive Senate race between Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) and Republican Kari Lake to replace retiring Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.).

UPDATE: It Is NOT Over For Kari Lake Yet….Race Continues! Massive Fraud?

One of the last unknowns from this election is how will Kari Lake’s Senate race wrap up. You might have been told by the “MSM” that she lost, but that’s not accurate.  Vote counting and ballot curing continue even as I write this! Kari Lake herself is asking everyone in Arizona to connect with TPAction and cure their ballots! Every little bit helps, this is (allegedly) extremely close: The most important thing you can be doing for the next few days is helping ⁦@TPAction_⁩ cure these ballots and make sure every vote counts in Arizona. You can even do it over the phone if you don’t live in our state. Please help if you can! https://t.co/dLTh9ksn4G — Kari Lake (@KariLake) November 7, 2024 But people like Tom Fitton are less charitable….Fitton is outright calling it Election Corruption in Maricopa County right now: What is happening in Maricopa County right now is election corruption. — Tom Fitton (@TomFitton) November 7, 2024 Why do Fitton and so many others believe something is not right here? It’s pretty simple common sense…. President Trump won Arizona — by a fairly large margin too: BREAKING: Trump has officially WON ARIZONA! TPAction is proud to have deployed the LARGEST Arizona ballot-chasing operation that the movement has ever seen. We are incredibly proud of our Chase The Vote team. pic.twitter.com/u0zGTpkRE4 — Turning Point Action (@TPAction_) November 7, 2024 And yet while you would expect that most or almost all Trump voters would also be voting for Kari Lake, that’s not the case. There is a huge discrepancy in the numbers… Donald Trump votes: 1,196,434 Kari Lake votes: 1,085,744 You mean to tell me 110,000 people voted for President Trump and then didn’t vote for Kari Lake? But it’s even worse than that because while Kamala Harris got 1,083,227 votes, Kari Lake’s opponent Ruben Gallego currently has 1,144,632 votes…. So the only way you can reconcile all of these stats is you have to believe that of the 110,000 people who (allegedly) voted Trump but not Lake, 61,000 of those actually cast a vote for Kari Lake’s Democrat opponent. Folks, there is no world in which that makes any sense whatsover. And so people are calling it out, calling it fraud: I’m calling fraud in Arizona… there’s no way there’s that many people who voted for Trump but not Kari Lake. The race is far from over but regardless there’s investigating that needs to be done. pic.twitter.com/xFX8IIJhY4 — Kristopher J. Anderson (@KAndersonAkron) November 7, 2024 More here: Apparently, in Arizona, everyone who voted for Kamala also voted for @KariLake And there are almost 47,000 fewer votes for Senator than for President.I don’t believe this sh!t for a second. pic.twitter.com/fypoKh61ar — Zypldot (@zypldot) November 6, 2024 Come on folks….is anyone buying this? Is there something I am not seeing? Is there ANY WAY for this to make sense that I’m not currently understanding? We’ll continue to monitor this story and bring you updates. Here was our report from yesterday: Kari Lake Is Not Finished Yet, Still Nearly 1,000,000 Uncounted Ballots In Arizona Kari Lake Is Not Finished Yet, Still Nearly 1,000,000 Uncounted Ballots In Arizona The U.S. Senate race between Democrat Ruben Gallego and Republican Kari Lake is not over yet. With 63% of votes counted in Arizona, Gallego leads Lake with 1,121,003 votes, at 50.4% compared to Lake's 1,060,195 votes at 47.6%. Charlie Kirk reported there are still over 1,000,000 ballots to be counted in the tight race. Kari Lake still has a path to victory. We will be streaming TONIGHT to go over all of this. There are over 1 million votes outstanding and she's currently only down 59,000 votes. Lots of RED votes left to count. Trump expanding his margins which could carry Kari. Kari Lake has a chance of winning. We will be streaming TONIGHT to go over all of this. Trump expanding his margins which could carry Kari. — Charlie Kirk (@charliekirk11) November 6, 2024 Per AZ Central: An unusual and prolonged silence hung over Arizona’s U.S. Senate race, where Democrat Ruben Gallego holds to a shrunken lead over Republican Kari Lake on Nov. 6, with hundreds of thousands more votes to count. Gallego, a five-term member of Congress and the favorite to win the contest entering the election hasn’t posted on social media since a tweet election night thanking poll workers for their service. Lake, a former Fox 10 newscaster who cut into his polling lead in the final weeks of the race, urged her followers the morning after Election Day to ensure their provisional ballots are counted. “This race is going to go down to the wire!” Lake tweeted. “We need ALL HANDS ON DECK to cure ballots and ensure the vote of every Arizonan counts.” That could matter in her race if the results continue moving in Lake’s direction, as happened throughout the night as the counting continued.

Pelosi Meets to Stop the GOP; Newsom Plans 4 Years of Lawfare

Nancy Pelosi is meeting with House Democrats to find a way to stop Republicans from taking the House.  She is not simply waiting for the election results, which leans Republican. Most of the seats that are up are in Commiefornia with a crazy system of voting. In March 2021, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi […] The post Pelosi Meets to Stop the GOP; Newsom Plans 4 Years of Lawfare appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Brat Fail: Celebrity Endorsements Couldn’t Save Kamala From Red Wave

Kamala Harris failed to win the presidency despite the overwhelming support from some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Many of these A-list celebrities actively campaigned for the Democratic candidate, but even with their endorsements and pleas to millions of fans, it wasn’t enough to stop Donald Trump’s red wave. In July, the musical artist Charli xcx posted on X, “kamala IS brat.” The Harris campaign latched onto this messaging, putting it into campaign materials aimed at a younger generation that interpreted the word “brat” as “someone who is confidently rebellious, unapologetically bold, and playfully defiant.” Many celebrity endorsements didn’t help Harris because, as one writer noted, most of these famous people were preaching to an audience of Democrats who already agreed with them. “Oprah, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Ariana Grande – these are artists whose audiences (black, female, liberal, queer) were already inclined to vote for Kamala,” Seth Abramovitch from The Hollywood Reporter told The Guardian.  He mentioned that Taylor Swift, who endorsed Harris following her only debate with Trump, had a broader appeal than some other artists, but her audience generally lacks the diversity required to have made more of an impact.  “I’d argue [Swift’s] massive influence does not reach two key demographic groups that helped Trump win this time – Latinos and black men,” Abramovitch said. The data suggests that celebrity endorsements are overhyped. A poll from YouGov, which was conducted after Swift’s endorsement, revealed that 8% of voters would be “somewhat” or “much more” likely to vote for Harris in light of that information. Notably, 22% responded that the pop star’s endorsement made them less likely to vote for her. That same poll found that almost half (45%) of respondents preferred Swift “not speak publicly about politics.” The vast majority (64%) said Swift’s endorsement would make “no difference” in how they voted. Harris rallies touted major celebrities, though their reception wasn’t always positive. For example, Beyoncé fans were massively disappointed when the singer only made a brief appearance at a Houston rally in late October, hoping instead for a musical performance.  MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ The 32-time Grammy Award winner delivered a speech, saying, “I’m here as a mother, a mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past or present or future.” Cardi B also spoke at one of Kamala’s final rallies before Election Day, but it didn’t go so well. A teleprompter malfunction meant that the rapper was left to speak off the cuff, which she was unable to do. Cardi stood awkwardly at the podium for more than a minute until someone brought her a phone containing the text she was supposed to read. “So you know, when it comes to this s***  right here, I let you know what I’ve been wanting to say, but I had to make sure I ain’t forget, so I wrote that s*** the f*** down!” she said in a social media video later, explaining the situation. Former Obama administration advisor Van Jones on Monday said he didn’t like big-time celebrity endorsements, going so far as to say they could hurt the candidate’s chance of winning.  “I don’t think people understand, working people sometimes have to choose,” Jones said during an appearance on CNN. “’Am I going to go to the big, cool concert and pay for babysitting for that or am I going to figure out a way to get to the polls?’ I don‘t like these big star-studded events.” “I don’t want people going to concerts,” he went on. “I want people out there knocking on doors, I want people out there fighting for this thing. I’m just nervous, nervous, nervous.” Other celebrities who publicly endorsed Harris for president include Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Kerry Washington, Reese Witherspoon, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Jennifer Aniston, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, America Ferrera, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sarah Silverman, Shonda Rhimes, Jennifer Lopez, Debra Messing, Patton Oswalt, LeBron James, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Zendaya, Lizzo, Mariah Carey, Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Snoop Dogg, Bruce Springsteen, DJ Khaled, John Mayer, Samuel L. Jackson, Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, Don Cheadle, Alyssa Milano, Eva Longoria, Jane Fonda, Scarlett Johansson, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts. All that star power meant nothing when it came time for the American people to select the next president. Trump delivered a decisive victory, winning all seven swing states and capturing the popular vote — a first for any Republican candidate since 2004.
