A superfan and entrepreneur Behman Zakeri bought the Goonies house in 2022 for $1.65 million, after working overtime and saving aggressively to jump on the next sale. Now that his dream has come true, Zakeri is worried about his neighbors as fans keep visiting. The historical house located in Astoria, Oregon, is a hotspot for Goonies fans, some of whom take trips to make it there. He thought it was silly that they chose to live in a neighborhood known for one of the biggest cult classics, and then try to police fans from visiting. In retaliation, Zakeri put up his own counter-sign, which read, “Hey you guys, Goonies welcome!” while his friend, who purchased the house right beside him, accompanied with a pointer to the offended resident’s home, which read “Ignore Karen.” Goonies House/YouTube Behman Zakeri wants to preserve the ‘Goonies’ legacy  While Zakeri understands the need for peace and quiet in a residential community, he also wants the legacy of Goonies preserved, leaving him confused about what to do.
