Daily Show, Atlantic Warn Of 'Republican Informant' And 'Snitch State'

Comedy Central’s Jordan Klepper and The Atlantic’s Adam Serwer joined forces on Monday to get in one last pre-election scare message for The Daily Show’s audience that warned of a “Republican informant state” or a “snitch state.” Klepper put the ball on the tee by asking, “You have another article that's in the most recent print edition of The Atlantic that talks about this Republican informant state, turning everybody into an informant. What is this snitch state you are speaking to?”     Serwer began by going after Texas and pro-lifers, “I think before Roe v. Wade was overturned, there was this Texas ban that was passed, you know, I live in Texas, I live in San Antonio, and this ban almost passed that was based on the idea that, you know, if you had -- you could file a lawsuit in court over someone aiding or abetting an abortion and you could get $10,000 for that.” As he would go on, Serwer would throw in some references to education reforms but mostly stick to abortion, “Now, that is a law that, sort of, incentivizes snitching. It's a snitch law and what we found is that laws in Texas and in other conservative states, I mean, you can look at Florida, they, sort of, incentivize this informing on people for things that conservatives think should not be acceptable and whether that's in some cases, you talk about school curriculums or not just abortion, but discussing abortion.” The Democratic vice presidential nominee set up what may be considered a snitch line in 2020 for people to report on people they suspected of violating COVID restrictions. Staying on the abortion hype train, Serwer added, “You know, a law like that is not just about making sure people don't have abortions, but it is about making sure the people don't discuss them because you don't want somebody to sue you or sue someone you love on the basis of the fact that you, you know, paid for the Uber that took them to the airport that they then got on a plane and went to Colorado to get an abortion because they couldn't get basic health care in their home state.” Serwer also claimed, “These laws incentivize people to snitch on their friends and neighbors, you know, in the hopes of recreating stigmas that I think, you know, are no longer in society in the way that they once were. Obviously, you can't necessarily argue people out of believing those things, but you can pass a law that says you are not allowed to bring a book by Ta-Nehisi Coates into the classroom. Otherwise, you might get fired.” Coates’s latest book is simply anti-Israel propaganda, so, no, you shouldn’t be allowed to teach from it. One also has to doubt Serwer and Klepper would be happy if public schools started teaching from Abigail Shrier’s books critical of transgender ideology. Here is a transcript for the November 4 show: Comedy Central The Daily Show 11/4/2024 11:27 PM ET JORDAN KLEPPER: You have another article that's in the most recent print edition of The Atlantic that talks about this Republican informant state, turning everybody into an informant. What is this snitch state you are speaking to? ADAM SERWER: I think before Roe v. Providence saved Trump — now voters must save the country

On July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump glanced at a screen displaying immigration statistics as he addressed a massive crowd of supporters. A moment later, on his knees, blood streaming down his face, he struggled to his feet and reassured his supporters that he would continue the fight. With one turn of his head, our world could have changed dramatically.I do not know what would have happened in the timeline where an assassin splattered Trump’s brain live on camera. What kind of conflict and chaos could have erupted if the liberal media and ghoulish Democrats had gotten their deepest wish? I do not want to know. What I do know is that providence spared both Donald Trump and our beloved country that day, and now the moment of truth has come.Even if Trump does secure the necessary votes, the battle will be far from over.It is no secret that I am not a huge fan of what our republic has become. Mass democracy was never what the founding fathers wanted for this country, and I am more tired than most of hearing that “this is the most important election of our lifetime.” But with the weaponization of our justice system, the open attempt to take the opposing candidate off the ballot by any means necessary, and the flagrant effort to import a foreign voting base to dominate all future elections, it is hard not to see this moment as pivotal. The Biden-Harris administration has normalized censorship, jailed political opponents, and made thinly veiled calls for violence. Another four years of open borders will permanently shift the electoral balance in favor of the Democratic Party, eroding our shared culture and way of life. If the left can imprison opponents and bring in a new voting base, we might still technically have elections — much like Saddam Hussein’s elections — but they would no longer influence governance. America would become a one-party state.Despite an initial burst of astroturfed internet buzz, Kamala Harris has revealed herself to be the cynical, inept, and unlikeable DEI disaster every honest Democrat knew she was.Harris was installed without winning a single primary, and the initial plan was to hide her from the public and hope that hatred for Trump would push her over the finish line. The campaign did its best to manage her exposure, but eventually Harris was required to begrudgingly make media appearances, in which she managed to embarrass herself despite having friendly interviewers and generous editing.Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, took exactly the opposite approach. Both participated in lengthy interviews, often with hostile interlocutors, and performed admirably. A savvy embrace of new media and influential podcasters exposed younger male voters to Trump and Vance, energizing a critical demographic. Joe Rogan, probably the most culturally relevant talk show host since Oprah Winfrey, even put aside his previous support for Bernie Sanders to endorse the real estate tycoon. It’s clear that the momentum is on Trump’s side.It is likely that we may not see a formal election result Tuesday night. The media has been preparing voters for a long counting process, and many state officials have echoed this refrain. For most of my life, one-night election results were the norm, and with the odd exception of the 2000 presidential election, everyone assumed this was the basic standard in an orderly First World country. The fact that the Democratic Party has succeeded in extending and obfuscating the election process should tell you everything about how far “our democracy” has fallen.Even if Trump does secure the necessary votes, the battle will be far from over. Several Democrats have already announced their intention to reject certification even if Trump secures a legitimate victory, and you can be sure that leftist groups are already planning violence if he returns to office. If Trump does become the 47th president, he will still face an uphill battle against a malicious media, hostile deep state, and corrupt Republican Party. A Trump victory is not a panacea, and conservatives will need to do the hard work of holding him to his promises while building local and state power. But none of these challenges matter if Harris is installed to carry out the disastrous leftist agenda. So on Election Day, remember that you witnessed a miracle and fight for the future of your country. May God forever bless our country, bringing us to repentance and guiding us to a better future.

Unhinged leftist allegedly kicks Trump yard sign, leaves veteran nasty 'go to hell' note for supporting 'low-life pig'

An unhinged leftist in Florida was caught on video apparently kicking a "Veterans for Trump" yard sign and leaving the homeowner a nasty "go to hell" note for supporting a "low-life pig."The Pembroke Pines homeowner didn't want to reveal his identity, but he shared surveillance video of the incident — along with an image of the handwritten note — with WPLG-TV.'You're a disgrace to the military and a disgrace to this country for supporting a low-life pig like Donald Trump.'The video shows a male wandering over to a “Veterans for Trump” sign on the front lawn and kicking it before walking away, the station said. The male returned a minute later, focused on the home, and then came back a third time to leave a note in the home’s mailbox, WPLG reported.“First thing is, I was worried about my home, and I worried about my kids and my wife who was there, because I wasn’t there at the time,” the homeowner told the station. The homeowner also told WPLG that the energy and effort the perp exerted to accomplish his task was alarming — not to mention the words in the letter, which went after the homeowner.“It talks about how I was a disgrace to my country and a disgrace to the U.S. military because of my choice in candidate,” the homeowner added to the station. “And at the very end of the letter, it actually tells me to ‘go to hell.’”The full letter reads:You're a disgrace to the military and a disgrace to this country for supporting a low-life pig like Donald Trump. Shame on you! You might as well take down your Army sign. Your military service means NOTHING to me. Go to hell.WPLG said the note in question caught the attention of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The station added that a number of political signs have been stolen from homes across Plantation, and angry residents also reported thefts in Fort Lauderdale. WPLG also noted that banners were taken down repeatedly farther south in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood. You can view a video report here about the incident.Like Blaze News? Kamala’s ‘incredibly weak finish’: Trump is racist

Kamala’s ‘incredibly weak finish’: Trump is racist

Kamala’s campaign had a “brat summer,” and on Election Day, it is now well into its “Adolf autumn” — but is it working? Blaze Media senior politics editor Christopher Bedford doesn’t seem to think so, calling it “the stupidest national campaign” of his lifetime. “I’ve never seen one run so off the wall. At first, without the excuse of COVID, they skipped interviews, they skipped public appearances, they wouldn’t even let the VP out there because he couldn’t talk about any of the policies.” While Kamala focused heavily on college-age kids, Bedford tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight” that “it’s not actually going to gain back the voting blocks.” Now, in a last ditch effort, the campaign is doubling down on calling Trump “Hitler.” “Democrats did really well with the Hitler thing, but it’s been worth less each time,” Bedford explains. “I think a lot of voters have moved on, and any actual scientific real expensive measure of what voters care about confirms the age-old axiom that it is the economy, and right behind that is the border.” Female voters who support Kamala Harris are also far less interested in the Hitler rhetoric than they are in abortion. “On the one hand, they are spending money, the super pacs are spending money, the more serious people I think are spending money, pushing the economic message, pushing the abortion message. But Kamala Harris is still up there doing January 6,” Bedford says. “It just seems like an incredibly weak finish,” he adds. The British are colluding! Harris relies on UK censorship operation to target election speech

According to a post by America First Legal on X, a U.K.-based organization is using its U.S. and Biden-Harris influence to silence Americans and end their right to free speech. The organization is called the Center for Countering Digital Hate, and in its short existence, it has a colorful history of interfering with free speech both in the U.K. and in the U.S. To name just one notable example from the past, CCDH is infamous for its “direct involvement in online censorship” in the “affair around the ‘naming and shaming’ of the supposed Covid ‘Disinformation Dozen.’” This, according to AFL’s X post, involved CCDH “explicitly calling for these Americans, including [Robert F. Kennedy Jr.], to be de-platformed.”We only need to look across the pond to the UK to see our future if we don’t stand up against these flagrant attacks on our liberties now. However, it has come to light that CCDH may also be attempting to censor free speech more recently. New documents have come to light that allegedly the U.K. and U.S. branches of CCDH have been colluding to censor free speech. The internal documents include some damning statements, yet there is a deeper issue for which America First Legal is demanding an investigation. America First Legal requested the Center for Countering Digital Hate to be investigated under the Foreign Agents Registration Act due to its alleged ties to U.K. political actors. The request asks the FARA Unit to investigate the U.S. branch of CCDH and members of its board and leadership “to determine whether they must register as agents of foreign principals, including the UK Labour Party and the Center for Countering Digital Hate Ltd. (‘CCDH UK’), due to their coordinated efforts to censor American citizens’ speech and interfere with our elections.”The document names Simon Clark, Imran Ahmed, and Thomas Conrad Brookes, among others, as the people to be investigated in this FARA request. As the request establishes, CCDH U.K. and the U.K. Labour Party are both considered FARA foreign principals. AFL explains that U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who is a member of the U.K. Labour Party, “has clashed with Elon Musk over X,” presumably over free speech issues on social media. The letter continues: “CCDH UK shares an address with ‘Labour Together,’ a think tank associated with the UK Labour Party.” At this juncture, among others, there is a connection to the U.S. influence: “Labour Together’s chief executive, Jonathan Ashmorth, met with Kamala Harris’s campaign at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to advise them on policy issues ahead of the general election.” CCDH has been called Labour Together’s “messaging vehicle” by some people, including Matt Taibbi. CCDH also claims credit for demonetizing news outlets that “allegedly published ‘fake news’” in the U.K. AFL’s main argument is that the “CCDH UK has enlisted CCDH US and members of its board and Leadership Team to advocate for similar censorship policies in the United States, apparently to combat and change America’s culture of free speech to advance the UK Labour Party’s political and social agenda.” There is also little to no separation between the two branches: “CCDH US and CCDH UK share the same mission and reporting chain of command.” Because of the lack of material separation in leadership, organization, and mission, and because it “acts as an agent for CCDH UK and the UK Labour Party, [CCDH US] appears to be required to register as an agent of a foreign principal under FARA.” According to recently leaked documents, CCDH U.S.’ agenda includes several political activities in line with and on behalf of foreign principles. For example, the “Annual Priorities” included “Kill Musk’s Twitter,” “Advertising focus,” “Trigger EU & UK regulatory action,” and “Progress towards change in USA.” This agenda aligns with its past actions and is grounds for the charge of political action on behalf of a foreign principal: “CCDH US has attempted to influence the Federal and State governments of the United States policies regarding [censorship] on social media platforms.” The CCDH and U.K. Labour Party are actively involved in pushing censorship in the United States. Americans’ right to free speech is being assaulted at the highest levels of government. American First Legal is standing up against this blatant attack on our First Amendment Rights, but there is no guarantee that this election interference and censorship will end. We only need to look across the pond to the U.K. to see our future if we don’t stand up against these flagrant attacks on our liberties now. Musk spotlights voter fraud claims out in the open — and liberals aren't happy about it

There are a number of ways that concerned Americans who suspect or have evidence of voter fraud can notify authorities or the general public and seek remedy. For instance, in Pennsylvania, voters can file complaints with the Pennsylvania Department of State's formal election complaint site or call 1-877-868-3772. They can also submit a report with the Republican National Committee-backed Pennsylvania Protect the Vote site or contact their respective county officials. In deep-red Cambria County, for instance, where voting machines malfunctioned early on Election Day, voters could reach out to Maryann Dillon, chief clerk in the Cambria County Elections Office. In addition to state and local options, there is also Elon Musk's Election Integrity Community. Musk's community on X, linked to his pro-Trump America PAC, lets voters share "potential incidents of voter fraud or irregularities." As of early Tuesday afternoon, the group had around 63,000 members sharing concerns, sharing videos of possible election shenanigans, and coordinating pressure for greater transparency. Leftist academics and the liberal media are enraged that Musk and other private citizens would dare highlight possible instances of voter fraud, signaling concerns about the EIC's potential efficacy. 'If you are aware of any election integrity issues, please report them to the X Election Integrity Community.' Wired characterized the voter integrity group as "a cesspool of election conspiracy theories." Paul Barrett, deputy director of the Center for Business and Human Rights at New York University, told the liberal tech magazine that "it's just an election denier jamboree." "This is another cynical and destructive step that Musk and many, many others on the political right are taking to undermine faith in elections, because of their anxiety that if elections are just held in a conventional, straightforward way, their side loses," added Barrett. The Guardian, a foreign liberal publication, likened Musk's community to the "'Stop the Steal' Facebook group, Telegram groups and message boards on alt-right social media firm Parler" that "perpetuated the baseless claim that the election was being stolen from Donald Trump." Renee DiResta, a former research manager at Stanford University's now-defunct narrative curation outfit that worked hand in glove with the Biden-Harris administration to flag and clamp down on undesired speech, told the Guardian, "These are real rumors by real people that are being picked up and used by a propaganda machine that really wants to get that view out there." One of the supposedly "false claim[s]" the Guardian and other liberal outfits are up in arms about is the suggestion that the Biden-Harris administration has imported illegal aliens in hopes of impacting the election in Harris' favor — one of the factors that ostensibly prompted Joe Rogan to endorse President Donald Trump. CBS News, which further discredited its reporting with the final edit of its Oct. 7 interview with Kamala Harris, also attacked Musk's community, suggesting it is a digital space where "false claims proliferate." Max Read, a senior "researcher" from the U.K.-based censorship outfit Institute for Strategic Dialogue, told CBS News, "The X community is sort of a consolidation point of a lot of different false, unverified claims about the election process." Musk tweeted last week, "If you are aware of any election integrity issues, please report them to the X Election Integrity Community." Like Blaze News? Stardew Valley’s “secret, experimental” new feature is locked behind this cheat

Despite having just shipped a new update that brings some cool new features to PC players and the entire suite of 1.6 enhancements to those on console and mobile, Stardew Valley’s creator has revealed that there is a new multiplayer feature that wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes. However, because it is in such an early stage, it isn’t being plastered all over the main menu, and is instead being “hidden” behind a cheat code. Yes, really.
