Image: The Verge Members of Reddit’s r/ThatMysteriousSong community have finally identified what they call “The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet,” a new wave tune that a teenager recorded to cassette sometime around 1984, as reported yesterday by 404 Media. The mysterious song’s digital trail goes back to 2004, when Darius S., the teenager who recorded it from a radio broadcast in Germany, posted it on a website along with other unknown songs, hoping others could help identify them. The search for its origins went viral back in 2019 when a Brazilian teen uploaded the song to YouTube. Now we know that the song is called “Subways Of the Mind” by a band named FEX. The company is making “adjustments” so that “new devices” will not have the yellow band; people who already own a unit can contact Amazon for a refund or replacement. “We take the quality of our products seriously,” Amazon spokesperson Jill Tornifoglio wrote in an email to The Verge. “Customers who notice this [yellow band] can reach out to our customer service team for a replacement or refund, and we’re making the appropriate adjustments to ensure that new devices will not experience this issue moving forward.” Existing customers can... I personally can't wait for Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air, which should be the thinnest iPhone in Apple's iPhone 17 lineup. It should also be the thinnest iPhone in years, considering that Apple has continued to increase the thickness of each iPhone generation for the past few years. I wanted a phone with a larger display, so I got my first 6.7-inch iPhone, the iPhone 16 Plus. But the handset is still too bulky for my taste, which is why I'm looking forward to the iPhone 17 Air. Samsung must also be aware of the rumors. Not to mention the fact that Samsung is likely manufacturing the 6.6-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO panel for the iPhone 17 Air.
