A judge on Monday denied leftist Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s request to block billionaire Elon Musk’s America PAC from giving away $1 million to registered swing state voters. Beginning on October 19, Musk’s pro-Trump political action committee began handing out a $1 million check every day to voters in swing states who signed a petition in support of the First and Second Amendments. The final two winners are expected to be announced on Monday night in Arizona and on Tuesday in Michigan, the Associated Press reported. The giveaways were challenged by Democrats, and Krasner called it a “scam,” arguing that it was “designed to actually influence a national election.” The Philadelphia DA also said that the America PAC giveaways are an illegal lottery that violate state law. Musk’s lawyer Chris Gober pushed back on that claim in court, arguing that “the $1 million recipients are not chosen by chance.” “We know exactly who will be announced as the $1 million recipient today and tomorrow,” Gober added, claiming that the recipients “are selected based on their suitability to serve as spokesperson for America PAC.” The director of America PAC, Chris Young, testified that the winners of the $1 million giveaways are vetted before the announcement so the PAC can “feel out their personality, (and) make sure they were someone whose values aligned.” Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta rejected Krasner’s argument that the giveaways were an illegal lottery, according to CNN. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Musk announced the $1 million giveaways at a town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, last month, telling the crowd, “So, I have a surprise for you, which is that we’re going to be awarding a million dollars randomly to people who have signed the petition every day from now until the election.” While testifying, Young said that “randomly” is not “the word I would have selected” to describe the giveaways, the AP reported. Musk’s lawyers argued that the petition is “core political speech” as it’s signed in support of the Constitution. They also said that Krasner’s attempt to block the giveaways was moot since there would be no more winners from Pennsylvania.

A career national security bureaucrat unleashed a wave of invective after overhearing a black woman in a Washington, D.C.-area coffee shop saying she planned to vote for former President Donald Trump. Annetta Catchings, a former Republican candidate for mayor in Alexandria, Virginia, posted video of Patti Morrissey interrupting her private conversation after overhearing Catchings make a pro-Trump remark. Morrissey then went on a diatribe about how Trump is a felon and said “educated” people should not support him, citing her authority as a “35-year national security expert.” According to a now-deleted LinkedIn profile, Morrissey worked in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the State Department, and the Pentagon through 2019. After online sleuths identified her, Morrissey blamed criticism coming her way on Russia, writing on Facebook that “there is a lot of threatening (most likely Russian) trolling going on right now…make a record of it” before apparently deleting the post. Catchings wrote on X that Morrissey, seated at a nearby table in an Old Town Alexandria coffee shop, shouted at her after overhearing her say “As a conservative woman I could never vote for Kamala Harris because…” The video shows Morrissey lecturing: “I’m shocked…. Educated women.” “Educated? What does educated have to do with it?” someone with Catchings asked. “It means you understand that someone who is a convicted felon who is a sex offender and accused of espionage, indicted for espionage,” Morrissey said. “The only people who ever challenge me are white Democrat women,” Catchings replied. Morrissey then grew angry, shouting “I am a thirty-five year national security expert! National security expert!” “Oh, you’re so smart,” someone with Catchings said. An apparent coffee shop worker then intervened, saying “Everyone can believe what they want to believe.” Morrissey got up and leaned over her and said with disgust: “Absolute denial.” “As a conservative woman I could never vote for Kamala Harris b/c,,,”What happened next was 3 separate attacks from this stranger! But she wrote on Facebook that “This weekend the trolls taught me: Insisting our next President NOT be convicted of fraud, bribery & sexual assault, and NOT be indicted on espionage charges and of inciting an insurrection makes you a ‘white liberal’ and a ‘racist.’” After working in federal roles through three years of the Trump administration, Morrissey left government to run a consulting firm called Global Foresight Strategies, which says it “helps government and private sector leadership anticipate and navigate the emerging impacts of global trends on regional security and stability.” Morrissey wrote on Facebook that she would soon be traveling to Ukraine. “If you think the disinformation has been insane so far, it’s about to get much worse in these last four days,” Morrissey wrote in another Facebook post this week. “There will be an onslaught of lies from our strategic enemies to make it look like our election process is unfair and that the Democrats are cheating. brace yourself and don’t believe a word. And ask yourselves, why has Trump had seven phone calls with Vladimir Putin?” She also echoed a false claim from CNN that Trump threatened Liz Cheney, misconstruing Trump’s observation that it is easy for politicians to support foreign wars they don’t have to fight in. Morrissey’s political leanings were no secret during her time in ODNI, which advises the president on national security. She ran for state office in 2001 and 2003, and has continued to mingle with Democrat politicians, posting a photo of her meeting with Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine on September 24. Trump has repeatedly come under fire for observing that career bureaucrats like Morrissey are largely Democratic partisans, who could interfere with presidents with whom they disagree. Another former top ODNI official, Eugene Vindman, is running for Congress in Virginia as a Democrat. During the Trump administration, Vindman and his brother used their status as nonpartisan career officials to give themselves an air of credibility as they leaked information meant to damage Trump. It’s difficult for presidents to fire career employees. But under Trump’s proposed Schedule F designation, a president could more easily replace certain career employees who are in “positions of a confidential, policy-determining, policy-making, or policy-advocating character.” This week, the Washington Post wrote that a conservative group, the American Accountability Project, created a “DHS Bureaucrat Watchlist” containing names of high-level career employees at the Department of Homeland Security who have openly expressed animosity towards conservative positions including border control, so that an incoming Trump administration could ensure that they do not thwart its initiatives. “There are a large number of people in the administration who have dedicated their life work to helping migrants settle in the United States,” said the group’s founder, Tom Jones. “These people are not going to do it. They are actually going to undermine it.” The Post said Jones identified them “largely using public social media comments, prior work experience and campaign finance records,” and that it caused them to “fear for their families’ safety.”

Last Saturday, Maye Musk made a plan. The plan was to join a 10-minute “Space” hosted by Mario Nawfal on X to discuss the importance of voting with other women who, like Maye herself, felt abandoned by the Democratic Party. But, like so many of Maye Musk’s plans, this one went astray. The audience had so many questions for her that the 10-minute Space went on for two hours. Maye is used to it. In her 2019 book, “A Woman Makes A Plan,” she describes how she dealt with all the curveballs life threw at her, and how she managed to emerge from these challenges stronger than before. “There is a saying: ‘At twenty-one you are no longer an orphan,'” Maye writes in her book. “This means, you need to take responsibility for your future life. The harder you work, the easier it is for luck to find you.” So, why did the 76-year-old model and dietician decide to enter the social media fray this close to the 2024 election? In an exclusive interview with The Daily Wire, Musk opens up about her decision to get involved, and what she thinks is at stake in the election. In a sense, it all comes back to her son. The mainstream media, she says, “have been so dishonest about Elon, have attacked him with false ‘facts,’” she said. “Seeing the media lie about my son, I wondered—what else, who else are they lying about?”  About two years ago, Maye began taking to social media to defend her son. It was around that time she started looking into the negative press surrounding another mainstream media boogeyman. “They have lied about Trump,” she said, noting that he “has chosen a great team and they really are willing and ready to handle all [the challenges] facing them in government bureaucracy. Whole organizations are corrupted right now, in the government, and need to be addressed,” she said. “This team wants what is best for Americans and that, alone, should make you consider voting — and voting for Trump.” Maye went on to describe what she expected her son to accomplish under a Trump administration. “I know he will help make the government more efficient, focused on caring for the American people and decreasing expenses,” she said. “You know, we just can’t continue to be in this huge debt, and it’s increasing. Our streets are dirty and full of potholes. There’s homelessness and drug addicts—with illegal immigrants now, our cities aren’t safe.” But as frightening as American cities have become, Musk said she’s more worried about what will happen if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the election. “I am more scared of Democrats and their policies,” she said. “Bad people on the street, I can outrun, but you can’t escape bad policies.” Musk also told The Daily Wire how welcoming she’s found Republicans. “This has been such a big surprise, you know, because of all that has been said about them,” she said. “But this is a very diverse group, and they’re happy, not pretentious.” “You know, when I was a Democrat, I thought differently,” about Republicans, she said. “I was wrong—everyone has been so delightful.”  Musk emphasized the need for truth, and recognition when emotions can be manipulated, especially by the media. “If you are intelligent, then you know you cannot rely on emotions. You must do your research and vote for the future of America. You know, if you are smart, you will do the right thing,” she said. “In this election, it is clear that to vote for this — for a happy and better future for America — is to vote for Team Trump.”

Tech mogul Elon Musk’s America PAC faced legal scrutiny for offering financial incentives for voters to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments. Some saw the legal challenge in Philadelphia as a partisan double-standard against Musk, and on Monday, a municipal judge there rejected the local district attorney’s call for halting the giveaways. Every day since Oct. 20, one person has received $1 million for signing the petition in the lead-up to Tuesday’s election.   That was not sitting well with the Left, however. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, whose campaign for office was heavily financed by leftist billionaire George Soros, sued Musk over the giveaways.  “The Philadelphia District Attorney is charged with protecting the public from public nuisances and unfair trade practices, including illegal lotteries,” the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office said in an Oct. 28 press release. “The DA is also charged with protecting the public from interference with the integrity of elections.”  Some have wondered, if Krasner thinks Musk’s raffle is improper or illegal, then why didn’t he likewise sue former first lady Michelle Obama over her now-ended “When We All Vote” campaign raffle?   According to Obama’s campaign’s website, registered voters across the country could put their names in a raffle to win two tickets to an exclusive event with Obama that was held on Sept. 16 in Las Vegas. The winner and a guest had the opportunity to meet Obama at the event, with hotel and airfare included.  National nonprofit Headcount also offered a raffle for registered voters to enter. Entries had to be received by late Monday night. Winners are to get tickets to a VIP experience at “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live” in Las Vegas. Headcount describes its mission as being “to use the power of music and popular culture to register voters and promote participation in democracy.”  However, there was little or no attention from Krasner or the legacy media to Obama’s or Headcount’s raffles.  Founded in July, Musk’s America PAC is also financing canvassing operations by awarding people interested in working on increasing voter registration and voter turnout at $30 per hour, with bonuses for exceptional performance. People could also receive $47 for each registered voter they refer that signs a petition pledging support for the first two constitutional amendments. The $47 figure was chosen as symbolic of former President Donald Trump’s bid to become the nation’s 47th president on Nov. 5, which Musk is supporting. Both of America PAC’s programs were open only to registered voters in seven electoral swing states—Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. That appears to be an attempt by Musk to garner support for Trump in those swing states.  America PAC was created to support the “key values” of secure borders, sensible spending, safe cities, a fair justice system, free speech, and self-defense, according to its website.  During a hearing in Pennsylvania on Oct. 31, Judge Angelo Foglietta of the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas said he would put the Musk case on pause until a federal court decides to take up the case. But that appeared to have rendered the case a moot point, because—as the judge noted Monday—the promotion was scheduled to end on Election Day, and he allowed it to continue. Expect Kamala Harris’ Justice Department to wage Green New Deal lawfare if she is elected president on Nov. 5. As with every last issue pertaining to this election, Harris has not said much about the substance of her climate policy. But a review of her record suggests she’d be amenable to unleashing the Justice Department on energy providers, and her conspicuously quiet allies on the climate left are optimistic she’ll do just that. Unleashing the Justice Department on American energy companies means hurtling this country deep into the last century. Traditional energy sources are essential for the world’s historic quality of life most Americans enjoy. Litigation will drive prices up. The lawsuits will also strongarm a transition to electric vehicles, stoves, and water heaters that will remain unpopular with most people because they aren’t affordable and don’t work as well as gas-powered alternatives. Green New Deal lawfare unfolding at the state and local levels all over the country means to force those appliances onto an unwilling public through settlement terms or public spending funded by big money verdicts. Harris is already aligned with climate lawfare. Harris investigated whether Exxon “repeatedly lied to the public and its shareholders about the risk to its business from climate change” during her tenure as California attorney general, according to the Los Angeles Times. The probe did not result in a lawsuit, though she was supportive of legal claims targeting energy providers as a presidential candidate.  Harris parroted claims typical of climate lawsuits during her ill-fated 2020 bid. She accused energy providers of concealing inside information about emissions, much as tobacco companies were accused of misleading customers about the health consequences of smoking. “You should be really prepared to look at a serious fine or be charged with a crime,” Harris said at a 2019 town hall in South Carolina. She made a similar remark in an interview she gave to Mother Jones. Harris has of course renounced much of her 2020 platform, but climate cultists sense she remains willing to pursue energy providers in court. A coalition of alarmist groups is pushing Harris to direct the Justice Department to investigate the industry, calling such a probe “long overdue.” Democrat partisans like Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Jamie Raskin are similarly pressuring the DOJ to take this step. One step the DOJ could take—and the climate left is already calling for it—is to open a probe under the anti-mafia statute, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. That means holding defendants liable not just for emissions, but also for political speech and actions that support a pro-gas energy policy. Democratic lawmakers favorably discussed this avenue in May as a former DOJ official testified to the Senate Budget Committee. How would anti-energy lawfare cash out for the average American? The cost of settlements or big money verdicts will inevitably reach consumers across numerous points of service. Everything will cost more. You’ll notice this most when paying an energy bill, filling up your tank, or buying a plane ticket. But cheap and abundant energy is essential to all businesses, and there will be hidden penalties everywhere. Moreover, the climate plaintiffs are already mapping their plans for spending money climate lawfare delivers. These plans include investments in EV-charging infrastructure, mandated electric appliances in new builds, and even repurposing neighborhoods to create 15-minute cities. This is social reengineering by lawsuit, a foisting of lifestyle choices on unwilling participants. With preelection forecasts favoring a Republican takeover of the Senate, it’s quite likely a President Kamala Harris would not move landmark climate laws through Congress.
