A Republican state lawmaker passed away one month after a freak accident where he rode his lawn mower into an empty swimming pool. Johnnie L. Turner, a Kentucky state senator, died Tuesday evening due to his injuries sustained in the September incident. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Sen. Johnnie Turner’s passing Tuesday evening, following a hard-fought battle with injuries sustained in his recent accident,” Senate President Robert Stivers said in a statement, according to Fox News. “We are heartbroken to learn of the unexpected passing of State Sen. Johnnie L. Turner yesterday evening following a tragic accident at his home in Harlan on Sept. 15. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife, Maritza, and the entire Turner family. Sen. Turner dedicated his life to helping others—whether through his service in the U.S. Army, his work in Kentucky’s General Assembly, or his private legal practice,” the Republican Party of Kentucky said. “Known as the ‘Legal Lion of the Mountains,’ he was a tireless advocate for southeastern Kentucky’s working men and women. Phillip Wheeler noted that Turner was a generous person. “Johnnie was fervent Christian, which was demonstrated by his great generosity. Coal employment, once the backbone of the eastern Kentucky economy, fell sharply over the last decade as cheaper natural gas prices and tougher environmental regulations prompted electric providers to move away from buying coal. In August, CBS affiliate WYMT interviewed Turner about his fight to keep the coal industry operating. “This government trying to kill the coal industry it ain’t going to happen in Kentucky it just ain’t going to happen,” Turner told the station. But Turner looked well beyond his district to back measures benefiting the rest of the Bluegrass State, Thayer said, pointing to Turner’s support for a high-stakes horse racing bill a few years ago. That measure secured the legal status of wagering on slots-style historical racing machines, a lucrative revenue source for racetracks. It was a tough vote for Turner, who represented a socially conservative district. “He told me that he saw what happened to the coal industry in eastern Kentucky and he didn’t want to see another leading industry — in this case the horse industry — have the same thing happen to it,” Thayer said. “I really appreciate his courage on that.” Turner served in the Kentucky House from 1999 to 2002. House Speaker David Osborne said Wednesday that Turner was an “ardent champion and passionate voice for eastern Kentucky.”

Do we have another case of clear election interference on our hands? And why is it always the ones we’re supposed to trust the most? Kennedy Jr. Gee, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something seems off here…. I could swear they are forgetting someone…. Think Noah, think…… AH YES! DONALD J. TRUMP is notoriously missing from the list. How freaking corrupt or incompetent can you get? I know it’s Oregon and they’re full of braindead Far-Left liberals, but this is bad even for them! Sure you have to leave some money in there, but you don’t want big amounts of money sitting in bank accounts. Because you might never be able to get it out! Go ahead, test me out on this…even right now in good times (before a full-blown banking crisis hits America) go to your bank right now and try and withdraw $10,000.  They will look at you with panicked looks on their face.  I guarantee it.  Then they’ll go get their supervisor.  The supervisor will come over and tell you they can’t do that today.  Come back in 2-3 days.  And then they’ll start the interrogation.  “What do you need this money for?”  “Where is this money going?”  Only after you answer all their questions, wait 2-3 days, fill out a bunch of paperwork, only then will you MAYBE be allowed to take YOUR money out of YOUR account. I guarantee that’s how it will go for you…. Test me out! Go try it and report back below in the comments. So that’s #1 … you have to get your money out of the banks now before a true crisis hits. Hold firm, be determined, play their stupid games, and get your money out of the banks! Because while YOU view it as your money in your bank account, that’s not how the bank views it.  The bank views it as their money.  And the dirty little secret is they LENT OUT your money to other people already.  Sometimes 9-10 times over!  It’s true, I’ll do a separate report soon on that explaining “fractional reserve banking”. But Step #2 is the most critical….you don’t want to just get your money out of the banks, you want to get it out of the US Dollar. The most basic and traditional financial wisdom has always viewed Precious Metals (Gold and Silver) as the safest places to have your money when a crisis hits. A federal judge rejected a request by a California-based company for a preliminary injunction against a Florida law banning lab-grown meat. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation making it a second-degree misdemeanor to produce or sell lab-grown meat in the Sunshine State. UPSIDE Foods, which manufactures cultivated chicken, filed a lawsuit against Florida in August. Federal Judge Upholds Florida Ban on Lab-Grown Meat, as Other States Propose Similar Bans “The dangers of cultivated meat far outweigh any misleading environmental claims. Jay Collins told The Defender. “The dangers of cultivated meat far outweigh any misleading environmental claims. Floridians will not be lectured by billionaires like Bill Gates on how to feed their families,” Collins added. In its lawsuit, UPSIDE Foods alleged the ban is unconstitutional and violates a federal law that preempts Florida from imposing it. The Defender reports: A preliminary injunction is typically issued in a lawsuit if the court finds the plaintiff has a good chance of winning its case — a “substantial likelihood of success on the merits,” However, Chief U.S. District Judge Mark Walker said Upside’s argument, which boiled down to “if it’s a poultry product, states can’t ban it,” was insufficient. Just because a product falls within the scope of the federal Poultry Products Inspection Act and is under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) regulatory authority does not mean a state is “expressly preempted from banning the sale of that particular kind of poultry product,” Walker wrote. Upside argued that the ban imposed ingredient and manufacturing requirements that clashed with provisions of the Poultry Products Inspection Act. However, Walker said Upside was unable to identify any federal law or regulation that created an “ingredient requirement” for cultivated meat. He also said that because the company didn’t produce its lab-grown meat in Florida, the manufacturing ban didn’t affect its premises, operations or facilities. The ruling means the ban will remain in place while the lawsuit challenging its legality moves through the courts. The Florida law went into effect on July 1st. In supporting the ban, state officials have pointed to questions about the safety of cultivated meat. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture last year approved UPSIDE to manufacture and sell its products.
