President Trump is expected to make a pit stop at McDonald’s during his visit to Pennsylvania this weekend and “work the fry cooker.” According to reports, Trump intends to go behind the counter at the fast food chain on Sunday at an undisclosed location. The visit is a dig at Kamala Harris, who claimed she worked at McDonald’s while in college. Trump is also scheduled to attend the Steelers-Jets game in Pittsburgh on Sunday, CBS News station KDKA reported. Trump has continuously claimed that Harris never worked at the fast-food chain, without evidence. He told a campaign crowd in Indiana, Pennsylvania last month that he wanted to work as a fry cook to “see how it is.” CNN first reported Tuesday that Trump would make good on that promise this weekend. Harris, for her part, continues to use her middle-class upbringing and time working at McDonald’s in advertisements and stump speeches as a contrast with Trump, who had his early career started at his father’s real estate company before growing to the billionaire he is today. Both candidates, their running mates, and campaign surrogates are making a flurry of appearances in Pennsylvania the final three weeks until Election Day. They both see the state as critical and are investing hundreds of millions of dollars to win it. As reports are coming out that Israel is now ready to strike back at Iran for the most recent missile attack launched directly from Iranian soil, and the Biden Administration becoming increasingly frustrated with their inability to lower tensions in the region (if you believe that is not a ruse, which I suspect it is) — President Biden has just done what he said he wouldn’t; there are now American boots on the ground in Israel. In a move categorized by (Ret) Vice Admiral James Syring (the former Director of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency) as “de-escalatory” in nature, the first pictures are coming out of U.S. THAAD systems on the ground in Israel, along with approximately 100 U.S. soldiers to operate them. This deployment happened as Israeli sources apparently confirmed to CNN that their targeting and planning is complete, and they are ready to move forward with a military response directly on targets within Iran.  According to CNN, Israel has assured President Biden that the targets will be limited to strictly military targets. Israel’s plan to respond to Iran’s October 1 attack is ready, a source familiar with the matter told CNN, without providing further information. Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, have assured the US that a counterstrike on Iran would be limited to military targets rather than oil or nuclear facilities, according to a source. Iran launched dozens of missiles toward Israel in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh and others. Netanyahu had vowed that Iran would “pay” for the attack. This picture is reportedly the first image showing the THAAD system on the ground in Israel. According to a report from Business Insider, the THAAD System is the world’s most advanced missile defense system, able to use purely kinetic energy to intercept incoming missiles both inside or outside the atmosphere. Impressively, the THAAD missile does not carry a warhead, instead using pure kinetic energy to deliver “hit-to-kill” lethality to ballistic missiles inside or outside of the atmosphere. Each launcher carries up to eight missiles and can send multiple kill vehicles out, depending on the severity of the threat. Lockheed’s THAAD launcher is one element of this highly integral anti-missile system. This graphic from Raytheon shows the rest of the equipment needed for each enemy-target interception. While my personal opinion is that the United States should stand with our allies, including Israel (as opposed to leaving them high and dry like we did to our Afghan partner forces in the botched Afghanistan withdrawal), I am wary of putting U.S. boots on the ground in Israel — even in a defensive posture. Iran has stated emphatically that the next time a single plane or missile is spotted in the air targeting it’s soil, it will immediately launch a response attack.  We will have to wait to see if that plays out, but my concern is that instead of playing a defensive role in the air, sea-based systems, and with intel help using our advanced satellite capabilities as we have done up to this point, we are not walking into a situation where — God forbid — U.S. soldiers could be harmed on the ground in Israel by a direct Iranian attack. That is a tough situation to walk back from without escalating to full-scale war almost immediately thereafter. The US has been consulting with Israel on how it plans to respond to Iran’s October 1 attack on the country, and US officials have made clear they do not want Israel to target Iranian nuclear sites or oil fields. US President Joe Biden spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, their first conversation in almost two months, telling him Israel’s retaliation should be “proportional.” The US military has significantly increased its presence in the Middle East since October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked Israel. The US has bolstered its air defenses across the region, deployed additional warships and aircraft carriers to the eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea and Arabian Sea, and recently sent additional troops to Cyprus to help with possible evacuation planning, CNN previously reported. With Israel apparently set to kick of it’s response to Iran at any moment, it is possible that we could see something happen in the coming hours.  Israel tends to launch strikes such as these in the early morning hours, mimicking U.S. methods of striking military targets with the fewest number of personnel present, and also using the darkness of night to help conceal the attack. As of the time of this report, it is currently 1:30am in the region.  With Iran promising an immediate response, it would not surprise me to see Israel strike in the hours just prior to dawn with the hopes of leaving Iran the undesired option of responding during daylight hours, or having to hold off on their response. This is a developing situation and we will bring you updates when they become available.

Video is circulating of what seems to be a tense exchange between Barack Obama and Joe Biden, with Biden looking worried as he seems to take in whatever Obama said.  Rumors are running rampant on social media as people are trying to decipher what was being said. The exchange was caught on video just a short time ago at the funeral of Ethel Kennedy; Robert F. Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert F. Kennedy and the mother of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is being memorialized in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, with the eulogy delivered by President Biden. Former President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton also spoke at the service, which is being held at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle. The human rights advocate, mother and grandmother died in her sleep earlier this month after a stroke. She was 96. Obama called her a “big dose in a small package,” and a “spitfire from a young age.” She was passionate about everything, Obama said, from juvenile justice reform to civil rights. “As serious as Ethel was about righting wrongs, she never seemed to take herself too seriously,” Obama said. Clinton called her an “amazing fireball with continuous energy.” “I thought your mother was the cat’s meow,” Clinton said of Ethel Kennedy. Ethel Kennedy had not only political stars at her memorial service, but musical ones. Stevie Wonder and Kenny Chesney performed in her honor. The matriarch of the storied Kennedy family is survived by nine children, 34 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. While Democrats and the Kamala-Walz campaign are busy little bees attempting to demonize President Trump by taking his remarks completely out of context (as usual), painting HIM as the tyrant, the unjust bully, and the danger to American freedom — Biden’s cognitive decline was on full display last night, and led to more truth-telling than he likely meant to happen. Biden was at a campaign event for Kamala in Philadelphia when he stumbled into accidentally admitting the politically motivated targeting of the opposition leader.  (Let’s just say it in terms we all recognize, shall we?)  According to The Hill, he rambled on about the strength of the economy (lies…), violent crime being down (even the FBI just admitted THAT was a lie…), and — I kid you not — “fewer people are crossing the border”.  To use an oft repeated Biden line:  “Good God, man!” President Biden on Tuesday night gave a feisty rebuke to former President Trump, calling him a loser and arguing he’s running for president again to stay out of jail. “More people are working today in America than any time since Trump left office, that’s just a fact,” Biden said during a speech at Philadelphia’s City Committee dinner. “401Ks are strong, violent crime is down, murder is down and fewer people are crossing the border, and Trump calls that a hellscape? He also talked about his version of Presidential loyalty (his loyalty to Barack Obama, in particular) while arguing that every President has to “cut their own path”, according to an Associated Press story covering the event. On Tuesday, Biden spoke in the hall of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association in Philadelphia, pumping up a slate of local candidates including Sen. Bob Casey before a vibrant crowd: boys in button-down shirts and kente cloths stood alongside women who leaned on canes. They sat at tables adorned with red, white and blue balloons and ate from plastic plates crowded with meatballs and kielbasa and bread rolls. “Every president has to cut their own path, that’s what I did,” Biden said to a crowd that chanted “Thank you, Joe!” “I was loyal to Barack Obama, and I cut my own path as president. That’s what Kamala is going to do.” Biden’s words were particularly poignant because he’s done so few political events since stepping away from the 2024 race, a stinging decision he said he made for the good of the country, following a disastrous debate performance and mutiny within the Democratic party. “Every generation faces a moment where democracy has to be defended,” Biden said. “This is our moment.” It’s funny — as in ironically funny — how much I agree with his last statement; as long as you substitute “democracy” for “democratic elections” or “our Constitutional Republic”, or just plain old “LIBERTY“.  What isn’t quite as funny is that this is the same man who only weeks ago OPENLY MOCKED the words of Jefferson and the Second Amendment, all in the same breath. But he’s right, in essence.  Every single generation will face a moment when they either defend, or allow to languish, the basic principles of this nation.  This IS one of those moments.  God help us rise to the occasion with wisdom and determination.

Jeff Flake, whom he described as “super conservative, but that man is as honest as anything.” In 2019, during the first impeachment of Donald Trump, Flake wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post, in which he stated, “My fellow Republicans, it is time to risk your careers in favor of your principles. Whether you believe the president deserves impeachment, you know he does not deserve reelection.” Walz also expressed his admiration for Oklahoma Sen. Jim Lankford, who wrote “a big piece” of the immigration bill. “I served with him. That guy is the most conservative person I ever met, but he’s also one of the most honorable. Some of these people need to be put in a position where they truly have the ability to influence things because they are ethical and they care about this country. And I think that’s something that really sets [Harris] apart to make a high profile appointment. I have something truly fascinating for you! This really is the most most “interesting” Trump video I have ever seen, and trust me….I’ve see a lot! This video explains so many things that you saw happen during President Trump’s first term with your own eyes but you probably didn’t realize what was truly going on behind the scenes. I was hooked within the first couple minutes of watching this and I couldn’t stop watching until the end. I expect you may be the same way. I will say this….I don’t agree with his views on God and Christianity, which are very off in my opinion. And I debated whether I even wanted to post this in light of some of his comments. But ultimately, I’m not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater. We report hundreds of news articles every single week and we don’t refuse to run a story before we check the faith of the person covered in the story. So just know that if you are offended by that part of the video, I am not endorsing or agreeing with that part. But the rest I find so absolutely fascinating (and believable) that I had to share.
