Vice President Kamala Harris refused to call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ally in an interview set to air on Monday, the anniversary of Hamas’ October 7 massacre inside Israel. Harris sat down for an interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” and discussed the course of the war in the Middle East over the last year. Correspondent Bill Whitaker asked Harris if the Biden-Harris administration held “no sway” over Netanyahu as the Israeli leader has repeatedly bucked the administration’s pleas for him to go soft on Islamic terrorist groups throughout the region that attack the state of Israel. “The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel,” she said. She said that the administration supported Israel in defending itself against terror attacks from Iran and its Islamic proxy groups throughout the region. “The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire,” she said. “And we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders.” “The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” she claimed. Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother is speaking out as her son awaits trial for sexual assault and sex trafficking crimes. Janice Small Combs released a statement Sunday through her attorney, Natlie G. Figgers, per The Hollywood Reporter. Janice insists that her son is being unfairly portrayed in the media. “It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies,” the statement says. “To bear witness what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.” The statement also made reference to allegations of rape and assault Diddy faced last year from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. The rap artist initially denied those claims, but then a hotel surveillance video started circulating, leading to Combs admitting wrongdoing and apologizing. Ventura agreed to a settlement. “My son may not have been entirely truthful about certain things, such as denying he has ever gotten violent with an ex-girlfriend when the hotel’s surveillance showed otherwise,” Janice’s statement went on.  “Sometimes, the truth and a lie become so closely intertwined that it becomes terrifying to admit one part of the story, especially when that truth is outside the norm or is too complicated to be believed. This is why I believe my son’s civil legal team opted to settle the ex-girlfriend’s lawsuit instead of contesting it until the end, resulting in a ricochet effect as the federal government used this decision against my son by interpreting it as an admission of guilt.” Am I Racist? Janice insisted that the incident with Ventura should not serve as proof of Diddy’s guilt on the other allegations.  “Many individuals who were wrongfully convicted and later exonerated had their freedom taken from them not because they were guilty of the crimes they were accused of, but because they didn’t fit the image of what this society considers to be a ‘good person,’” the statement continues. “History has showed [sic] us how individuals can be wrongfully convicted due to their past actions or mistakes.” “Watching the world make jokes and laugh at my son’s life crumbling before our eyes is something I can never forget. It is truly agonizing to watch the world turn against my son so quickly and easily over lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side or affording him the opportunity to present his side,” the statement continued.  Diddy is facing 120 or more additional lawsuits in the near future, as The Daily Wire previously reported, including complaints from at least 25 minors. His mother said she believes these complaints are motivated by greed. “These lies thrown at him are motivated by those seeking a financial gain, and not justice,” she said.  “These individuals saw how quickly my son’s civil legal team settled his ex-girlfriend’s lawsuit, so they believe they can receive a quick payday by falsely accusing my son. False allegations of sexual assault thwart true victims of sexual violence from getting the justice they deserve. To make matters worse, the federal government is now using these lies to prosecute my son. This injustice has been unbearable for our family. The worst part of this ordeal is watching my beloved son be stripped of his dignity, not for what he did, but for what people choose to believe about him.” Combs pleaded not guilty to federal charges and has been denied bail twice after being arrested in September.

Living in their own homeland.” “You said something that really struck me,” Graham continued, then referred to the roughly 80,000 Israelis forced to evacuate their homes in the north to the thousands of rockets Hezbollah has fired at Israel over the past year. “No one should be a refugee in their own country. They’re going back to the north, folks. They’re going back to these kibbutzes. Whatever it takes to get your people back in their homes, you do it.” Graham then turned to France, whose president, Emanuel Macron, had publicly called for an arms embargo against Israel.  “To my friends in France, you’ve got this ass backwards,” Graham declared. “You should be doubling down on helping Israel, because the people that want to destroy Israel also want to destroy the French people. I get that. He gets that. You’re fighting our fight. Hurricane Helene reached Category 5 strength on Monday as the storm moves over the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall in Florida later this week. The National Hurricane Center posted to X just before noon ET that data from an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicated that Milton had intensified to Category 5 status with maximum sustained winds estimated to be 160 miles per hour with higher gusts. A Category 5 hurricane is the highest level on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale, which is based on a storm’s sustained wind speed. Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency in 51 counties. President Joe Biden approved an emergency declaration, making federal resources more readily available to assist with response efforts. Evacuation orders have been given in counties throughout the southwest part of the Sunshine State. At least 232 people died, towns were destroyed, and millions of people lost power, cell phone service, and running water. Recovery efforts are still underway, with a great deal of scrutiny being placed on the federal response. The Atlantic hurricane season is ramping up just weeks ahead of the 2024 presidential election, in which former President Donald Trump faces Vice President Kamala Harris in the White House race. Trump has criticized the federal response to Helene while taking jabs at President Joe Biden and Harris. All three of them have visited states that were struck by the storm in recent days.

One mom was totally blown away when her son’s teacher wrote an entire book to help the autistic boy understand his younger brother’s cancer diagnosis. Kelsey Hines shared the sweetest post on social media showcasing this educator’s gentle way of explaining the illness. This beautiful, homemade book was the perfect way to communicate the situation to the then-non-verbal five-year-old. His family was truly grateful for this teacher’s effort! In a heartbreaking slideshow, Kelsey shared pages from the book describing what three-year-old Ryder would go through as a cancer patient. As the teacher explained how the illness would affect the young child, she was very sensitive to his older brother’s feelings. “Ryder might start to look different,” she wrote. “He might lose his hair, but that is ok. For example, the toddler would have to stay at the hospital, and Mom and Dad would sometimes stay there with him. When waiting at an airport, the last thing you want to hear are the words, “Your flight has been delayed.” That said, passengers on a flight from San Francisco to Houston, Texas were given news of their delay mid-flight. That’s because one of the passengers, unfortunately, experienced a medical emergency. This left the pilot with no choice but to make an emergency landing in New Mexico — but he had an act of kindness up his sleeve. Thankfully, the passenger in need was rushed to a local hospital as soon as the plane landed. As for everyone else, they’d be waiting a long time to catch a new flight. Because some crew members had reached their maximum shift hours, as set by the Federal Aviation Administration, new crew were required. But getting them there would take time.
