Archbishop Viganò: Secret letters shed new light on Benedict’s resignation, ‘pope emeritus’ title

by Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, LifeSite News: In the media dramatization, the actors Ratzinger and Bergoglio have been presented to us as bearers of antithetical theologies, when in reality they represent two successive stages of the same revolutionary process. New Study: DEI Trainings Make People See Racism Even if It Isn't There

Maoist tactics lead to Maoist outcomes. For instance, if you train people to see oppression everywhere, they will see it even where it does not exist. According to a remarkable new study by the Network Contagion Research Institute and Rutgers University's Social Perception Lab, the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs...

‘We’re Going To Audit Everything’: Democratic Strategist James Carville Blasts Kamala’s Campaign Spending

Despite raising an estimated $2.5 billion, Kamala Harris and associated organizations were unable to make a compelling case to voters and the comparatively thrifty campaign of President Donald Trump came away with a landslide victory. Worse yet, Team Kamala somehow reportedly owes about $20 billion, and longtime Democratic strategist James Carville wants to know where all that money went. As The Hill reported: The DNC is set to hold its leadership elections in February, less than two weeks after Trump is inaugurated. During the recent podcast, Carville noted that people had asked him to throw his hat in the ring, though he suggested a bid wasn’t on his to-do list. Still, he said the campaign’s finances will most likely be audited amid concerns. “I would say the policy, number one, is we’re going to audit everything. We’re going to audit the campaign,” Carville said Thursday, while specifically pointing to a pro-Harris super PAC. “We’re going to audit Future Forward. We’re going to audit the DNC so people can know.” “But I’m telling you, without complete transparency, the campaign — we think — raised a billion and a half dollars. Okay, we know that Future Forward, the last we saw, was $900 million, so we can assume that they got to a billion before election,” the strategist continued. “That’s two and a half freaking billion dollars.” The Harris campaign’s spending has been the topic of significant scrutiny in the weeks since the election: Chris Cuomo: “Stop sending me fundraising emails, you spent 1.5 billion dollars.” pic.twitter.com/Zt41hkRyvZ — Insurrection Barbie (@DefiyantlyFree) November 27, 2024 Fox News obliterates Kamala Harris for her boasting about spending $1.5 billion on her campaign and losing pic.twitter.com/iP9WmiCxYs — Paul A. Szypula (@Bubblebathgirl) November 28, 2024 And similar concerns have followed her throughout her political career: FLASHBACK: Kamala Harris aides blew the whistle on her “lavish spending” from campaign finance accounts to fund a “life of luxury” and said she treated her campaign donations like a personal checking account. Are there ANY former Kamala staffers who say ANYTHING good about her? pic.twitter.com/QnB3KxQhhh — Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) August 1, 2024 But despite it all, Harris is still hitting up voters for even more money, as Politico reported: The fundraising appeals may be necessary: Harris’ operation ended with around $20 million in debt, according to two people familiar with her campaign finances and granted anonymity to speak freely. And there are limited ways campaigns can pay that down under federal law. The emails themselves don’t mention debt, instead citing the organization’s support for recount efforts in close races and legal challenges. And the Harris campaign denies that the campaign or affiliated joint fundraising committees had outstanding debts on Election Day, and says they won’t report debts owed in future Federal Election Commission reports due in December. But the fundraising appeals have still continued, and some Democrats fear she may be compounding the party’s problems with the tone of some of her appeals — damaging relationships with online donors who have long powered the party. In just a few months, the vice president built up a record-breaking fundraising operation. She raked in funds from millions of online donorswithin the first week of her candidacy, and continued to hold fundraising events well into the fall. Now those same donors who helped her raise more than $1.4 billion are among the people being asked to give more. The emails still come two or three times a day. Here’s some additional coverage of the backlash:

‘Y’all Lost’: Popular Comedian Goes Off On ‘Pronoun Motherf***ers’ And Jaguar’s Weird Ad

In the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s victory last month, many Americans have been hoping the next four years will usher in a return to normalcy. When Jaguar released a bizarre new ad campaign that notably didn’t even include a vehicle, however, it began to appear that some of the “woke” trends of recent years are here to stay. Comedian Eddie Griffin was among the many prominent figures who ridiculed the automaker, as Breitbart recently reported: “And where the fuck is the car, Jaguar? Where the fuck is the car? All I’m seeing is some freaks. Where the fuck is the car?” Griffin continued. The comedian went on to point out that the Jaguar ad also featured “some giant pink rock-looking thing.” “Y’all lost,” Griffin said, apparently referring to Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election. “All you them/theys, and shims, and pronoun mother fuckers. Y’all lost. Now give us a goddamn commercial with a car, Jaguar.” As Breitbart News reported, Jaguar was slammed and dubbed “Bud Light 2.0” on social media after the luxury company released a promotional video featuring only androgynous individuals clad in bizarre attire that would hardly fit in at a fashion show. The advertisement also failed to showcase even one vehicle from the luxury car company. The backlash extended far and wide on social media: Now THIS is how a logo refresh is done. Absolutely beautiful. Take notes, @Jaguar. This is the way. pic.twitter.com/kgjGa2oCJa — Cabot Phillips (@cabot_phillips) November 21, 2024 Can’t stop laughing at this. People are making fun of @Jaguar‘s awful new woke advert. Brilliant pic.twitter.com/gVVYWSMq5t — Lee Harris (@addicted2newz) November 24, 2024 As The Guardian explained, Jaguar’s embarrassing misstep seems to confirm that Jaguar missed the moment to capitalize on wokeness: But the main culprit is timing. Swings this big take months to sign off, and back when the concept of this campaign was approved, it must have seemed perfectly of its moment. Various media outlets have dredged up a clip of its “mastermind” accepting an award just one month ago, in which he announces, with a distinct air of self-congratulation, that Jaguar has established a full 15 DEI groups. Righto. There is something ludicrous about a guy poised to roll out cars that are going to start at a hundred grand boasting about being mega-inclusive. It reminds me of the time when Coutts debanked Nigel Farage, stating that they were “above all” committed to being an “inclusive organisation”. To which the only reply is: you’re a private bank where people have to have at least £3m in cash savings to open a current account. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Do you “include” low income, middle income, or even the vast majority of high income people? Then honestly – pipe down. Alas, Jaguar seem to have got the piping-down memo too late, declaring this week that: “This is a reimagining that recaptures the essence of Jaguar, returning it to the values that once made it so loved, but making it relevant for a contemporary audience. We are creating Jaguar for the future, restoring its status as a brand that enriches the lives of our clients and the Jaguar community.” OK! Although, counterpoint: you’re releasing a tired mess, two weeks post a Donald Trump election victory, and amid the undeniable sense that there has been a vibe-shift on the era of woke capitalism that has perplexed and delighted consumers for the past few years, in distinctly unequal measure. In some ways, the timing of this ad calls to mind all those Sunday newspaper columns viciously slagging off Princess Diana that – print lead-in times being what they were – appeared in the newspapers just as the world was waking up to news of her death. There had, to restate the point, been a vibe shift. The effect is to render Jaguar’s new ad an instant period piece. Or to put it another way: while it might have been infinitely less iconic in terms of design, there is a sense in which that lift in the Jag advert really has turned out to be a secret weapon. Trouble is, it’s pointing the wrong way. Jaguar have Trojan horsed themselves. If you happen to have missed the Jaguar ad or just want to cringe your way through it again, here it is:

“Disgusting” NY Times Publishes Pete Hegseth’s Mother’s Email

The evil media is very determined to eliminate several of Donald Trump‘s candidates for cabinet positions. Pete Hegseth is a prime target. They are using Mr. Hegseth’s mother to humiliate him. Six years ago, his mother became involved in his contentious divorce and sent an angry email, which she immediately recanted. Rob Schneider Talks Hollywood Cancellation, Election, And Free Speech With Ben Shapiro

Saturday Night Live alum Rob Schneider joined Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro for this week’s “Sunday Special.” The pair laughed through a wide-ranging discussion of the 2024 election, Schneider’s Hollywood “cancellation,” Democrats’ transformation into the anti-free speech party, and much more.  Schneider has become increasingly vocal about his political views in recent years, which has won him few friends in Hollywood — a journey he recounted in his new book “You Can Do It!: Speak Your Mind, America.” The “Grown Ups” star had Shapiro in stitches right from the start, pulling on his famous impressions to mock Vice President Kamala Harris’ ever-changing, pandering accents. Schneider also said he knew the election was “over” far before any votes were cast.  “People are coming back over and saying, look, this is somebody we want to fix the problem,” Schneider said of Trump. “Just like you have a plumbing problem and there’s s*** everywhere. Well then, you need to get somebody  – you don’t have him staying for dinner. Donald Trump’s not going to come to your son’s bar mitzvah; he’s certainly not going to come for Thanksgiving, you don’t have to invite him. But he’s going to clean up: he’s going to do that, and you want him to do that.”  Shapiro agreed, adding that Americans don’t need the president to be a “moral exemplar,” but a person who gets the job done. “I have plenty of people in my life I look to when I’m out and when I’m looking for, you know, moral ways to live, and I’m looking for a piece of life advice,” Shapiro said. “When I want somebody to threaten Iran to back down, then I go to President Trump, when I want somebody who’s going to make sure that the gas prices aren’t too high.”  The pair also discussed Schneider’s 2019 Hollywood cancellation. “I said, ‘Californians would vote for a bowl of s*** if it had a ‘D’ next to it,’” Schneider recalled a tweet he posted. “And then that put the final nail in my Hollywood career.”  “I’m out. I don’t get hired in Hollywood,” he told Shapiro. “But there are some things more important than getting hired in Hollywood, and that is, I felt that we were close to having our rights taken away.” “When they try to cancel you, when they do go after you and you think you will never work again … and you survive,” Schneider continued, “you do get emboldened. You think, what do I really wanna do? What do I really wanna say? And I’m not gonna be fearful anymore.” You can watch the whole “Sunday Special” episode here. Schneider added that he hopes he’s “helped people be slightly less fearful” and “be a voice for people who thought that they couldn’t critique Hollywood.”  The actor repeatedly returned to free speech throughout the episode. Schneider said he felt we were “close” to losing that right, and much more. For example, he noted the political censorship that took place on social media, apparently done at the behest of the government, during the Biden administration.  Speaking to The Daily Wire in September, Schneider revealed that he felt compelled to write his book over that very issue. “We’re kind of f***ed as a country,” he said. “And so I do feel a responsibility, even though it cost me money and cost me work, I feel like it is my comedic-patriotic duty to at least bring these things to attention.” You can watch the whole “Sunday Special” episode here.
