One of the most intriguing and polarizing picks of President Donald Trump’s next administration has been choosing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Despite Kennedy’s previous affiliation with the Democratic Party, many on the left oppose his nomination based, at least in part, on his stance regarding vaccines. I don’t believe in, you know, ‘Nobody gets into the country.’ ‘Everybody gets into the country.’ I would love to see immigration reform where you take x amount of people a year who’ve been heavily vetted that can pay into the system and contribute to the economy. With the Gaetz nomination for Attorney General withdrawn, the Regime Media appear to have settled on the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence as one to try to scuttle. Watch as former RNC Chair Reince Priebus pushed back against the phony “Russian asset” narrative deployed against Gabbard: REINCE PRIEBUS: One thing I highly -- would suspect is that you wouldn't rise to a rank of an O-5 Lieutenant Colonel if our intelligence agencies thought that somehow she was some kind of “Russian asset”, which if people are going to level those charges, they better be darn sure that they're accurate. And it’s a very dangerous thing to do… JON KARL: I mean, Nikki Haley didn't say that. She said she was a sympathizer. PRIEBUS: But it's all insinuated, okay? It's this cutesy, hyperbolic nonsense coming out of the media and the Democrats who refuse to accept the fact that almost a majority or a majority of Americans have accepted Donald Trump and Trumpism. I think it's time to give this guy a month of peace and let the process play out. When asked about her 2017 trip to Syria by CNN’s Jake Tapper, Gabbard responded: “Whatever you think about President Assad, the fact is that he is the president of Syria,” she said. “In order for any peace agreement, in order for any possibility of a viable peace agreement to occur there has to be a conversation with him.” “My commitment is on ending this war that has caused so much suffering to the Syrian people, to these children, to these families, many of whom I met on this trip,” Gabbard said. Rather than delve into the basis of Gabbard’s positions, the Regime Media are content both to amplify smears levied by Hillary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman-Schulz, and to try to get Republicans to act defensively in the face of these smears.To his credit, Priebus refuses the bait and calls everyone out by making a very obvious point: if Gabbard is such a security threat, why is she still allowed to serve in the National Guard and in a command role? There is no response to that question, just as there was no real response to Priebus’s dismissal of the attacks against Gabbard as “hyperbolic nonsense”. Priebus’s request that the Regime give Trump “a month of peace” is certain to go unheeded, as is his request for deference to the executive prerogative in making these picks. To the contrary: expect the Regime and its captured Media to continue the hyperbolic nonsense, truth notwithstanding.
