NBC's 'Law & Order' Worries a Pro-Hamas Protester Could be Deported

NBC's Law & Order took on the Israeli-Gaza conflict last night, showing sympathy for a pro-Hamas protester who is in danger of being deported. The episode, "Truth and Consequences," on Thursday begins on the campus of the fictional "Hudson University." Recreating the violent protests on U.S. campuses last spring, aggressive pro-Gaza protesters start fights with students and professors in the opening scene. Professor: Here we go again. Yesterday, there were 15 tents. Now there are double the amount. Professor Bennett: I'm more worried about the fact that these kids aren't going to class. My journalism seminar this morning was half empty. Professor: That's because they believe that the rules don't apply to them. Professor Bennett: Making poor choices is all part of the college experience. Professor: Sure, but there have to be consequences. President Redd should be calling in the cops. Professor Bennett: Look, I don't agree with these protesters. Far from it. But we can't arrest our own students. Professor: Why not? Our own students are being harassed. Protestors: You're not going this way. Go back the other way! Student: Let me through! Professor: Hey. Hey! Leave him alone. Student: Man, I don't have time. Professor: Hey, hey, Hey. Professor Bennett: Hey. Hey. Come on. Student: I'm cool. I'm cool.  Professor Bennett is later found dead. His wife is a prominent New York judge. The first potential suspect is a neighbor who had broken into the Bennett home, stolen an Israeli flag from their window, and assaulted a police officer during his arrest. Being New York City, he was quickly released after the incident. "I mean, you gotta love bail reform. A guy with a history of violence breaks into a man's home, steals his private property, and what happens? Nothing," Lieutenant Brady sarcastically tells detectives. The neighbor defiantly tells investigators that the Bennetts should have expected a reaction to an Israeli flag in their window. However, he is not the murderer. The murderer turns out to be a law student in the pro-Hamas encampment whose clerkship offer had been rescinded by Judge Bennett. A Venezuelan student from the encampment named Daniela Rojas can place him near the crime scene, but she is at Hudson on a student visa and does not want to testify. Left-wing Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun feels sorry for Rojas because her illegal protest activity could get her expelled and deported. She argues with fellow ADA Nolan Price about putting her on the stand. Price: So she needs to testify.  Maroun: No, she's here on a student Visa, Nolan. Look, if she testifies, she's gonna have to admit that she was part of the encampment. And she-- she could get expelled, and that means she could get deported. Price: I know you have sympathy for the protesters. Maroun: Yeah, I do. But this has nothing to do with that. I'm just trying to be reasonable. Look, why ruin a kid's life if we don't have to?  Price: I will do my best to protect her on cross. But she is the one who chose to protest and to camp out after her school prohibited it. Maroun: Are you serious? Price: She chose to violate her school's code of conduct. That's on her, not us. Price places Rojas on the stand in spite of Maroun's objections. The young woman cries as she is interrogated about her legal status in the United States.  Defense Attorney: Are you or are you not hoping that these prosecutors will help you stay in school and remain in this country? Rojas: I mean, that would be great if they could help. Defense Attorney: That's all I have. Thank you. Price: Brief redirect. Miss Rojas, has any member of the prosecution team offered you any promises, inducements, or rewards in exchange for your testimony here today? Rojas: No. In fact, I'm pretty sure you just screwed me.  Judge: Miss Rojas. Rojas: I'm just telling the truth. Price: Nothing further. Most normal people recognize that a foreign student in a country must respect the host country's laws. Participating in illegal encampments that block students from freely moving around the campus is insane. All the melodramatic music and furtive courtroom looks cannot change the fact that such actions are reckless. Nonetheless, "Truth and Consequences" does its best to try to generate pity for this particular activist. "She has been thrown out of school, and she may very well be kicked out of the damn country," Price laments about Rojas' fate. Her fate is contrasted with the powerful Judge Bennett who refuses to testify about the case because of personal struggles with addiction, leading to a plea deal for the killer.  "Truth and Consequences" never once asks why the U.S. should continue to host a foreign student who breaks the law and participates in anarchy.  This fall, Law & Order has portrayed a "right-wing news" journalist and pro-life activists as villains. But a participant in Hamas-supporting campus chaos is sympathetic because she is an immigrant on a student visa!

Puck Details Why Chris Wallace Is Actually Leaving CNN (Hint: Its Color Is Green)

Puck Details Why Chris Wallace Is Actually Leaving CNN (Hint: Its Color Is Green)

Nearly a week after he published the bombshell piece about significant layoffs coming next year to CNN that will impact those behind and in front of the camera, Puck’s Dylan Byers reported Wednesday night that CNN host and former Fox News Sunday anchor Chris Wallace wasn’t simply departing the network because he wanted to explore podcast, but rather due to the fact his shows were being axed (and thus he wanted to get out ahead of any announcement). Byers explained that Wallace made the decision “on Monday evening” in a call to CNN’s “talent chief Amy Entelis...that he intended to leave at the end of his contract,” which was followed shortly thereafter in a nauseatingly coordinated move, a Daily Beast article heralding his departure to look at “streaming or podcast” since that’s “where the action seems to be.” Byers made clear he didn’t buy that someone with a $7 million salary was just leaving willy nilly, placing him alongside other recent announcements of future departures in Hoda Kotb from NBC’s Today and Norah O’Donnell from the CBS Evening News. Simply put, what all three have in common can be summed up in one word: money. In other words, none of them wanted to take a paycut for the millions or tens of millions they had been making for decades as corporate journalists. Byers spilled the beans that Wallace’s two shows — an interview show called Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? and a Saturday morning panel chatfest The Chris Wallace Show — were being canned by CNN boss Mark Thompson. “Instead, Thompson and Entelis intended to offer Wallace a new role as an analyst, which would have resulted in a significantly diminished compensation package and, presumably, far less air time,” Byers explained. Wallace insisted to Byers in a text message he “had already decided...six months ago to leave CNN” when his contract was up and thus these cancellations and pay cuts are “irrelevant.” Seemingly unswayed by this, Byers pointed out the hard facts about Wallace’s show: “The most recent broadcast of The Chris Wallace Show drew 450,000 viewers and just 85,000 in the advertiser-coveted 25-to-54-year-old demo—an audience size at which it’s increasingly hard to justify most of the talent salaries at CNN.” Byers doubled down on his reporting about layoffs next year by Thompson, including the fact that they “will include some high-priced TV talent,” so Wallace was merely “one of its first and most obvious casualties.”

REGIME PROPAGANDA: NBC News Hides The REAL Reasons Behind The Left’s Latest X-odus Tantrum

REGIME PROPAGANDA: NBC News Hides The REAL Reasons Behind The Left’s Latest X-odus Tantrum

In what could best be described as a naked piece of Regime propaganda, NBC News promoted the left’s latest temper tantrum-induced exodus from X (formerly Twitter). And in so doing, they left out the part about the left’s temper tantrum.  It took NBC about a minute before sort of scraping the surface as to what really underlies celebrities and Regime propagandists’ decision to leave the platform:     SAVANNAH SELLERS: Even prior to these new terms, the day after the election, X lost more users than any day since Elon Musk bought it in 2022. JOANNA STERN: There are a few things fueling this exodus. The first is the change of terms of service. The other is just the presence of Elon Musk and what has happened to the platform and the overwhelming amount of content there that is really focused on the new president, Donald Trump, and also just full right-wing information, conspiracy theories, and posts. The report spends its first minute trying to pin departures on X on an AI-related change in its terms of service. It bears noting that most of these announcements were aired on TikTok, and should perhaps therefore be taken with a brick of salt.  After laying that predicate, and as a “by the way”, the report gets to its point, which is to cast X (and, by extension, Elon Musk) as a right-wing depository of disinformation. No mention was made of the leftist celebrities, propagandists such as Joy Reid, and media outlets such as The Guardian that departed the global town square once it became clear that they lost ideological supremacy., aided and abetted by weaponized government and the censorship industrial complex.  THIS is the real factual basis that undergirds NBC’s propagandistic report, intended to encourage further departures away from X. The loss of political influence, framed within an AI panic. Further proof evident that the media landscape has shifted, and will never again be the same. Perhaps Elon’s right: X is the media. Click “expand” to view the full transcript of the aforementioned report as aired on NBC Nightly News on Thursday, November 14th, 2024: LESTER HOLT: A major change is coming to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter owned by Elon Musk. I has to do with AI and it has users threatening to leave the platform for newer, alternative applications. Here’s Savannah Sellers. ITSNIANICHOLE: So, announcement: I am about to delete my Twitter. ANGELITAMARIA: So I don’t know about y’all but I am closing my Twitter account. SAVANNAH SELLERS: Users of X, formerly Twitter, say they are done with the platform on the eve of a big change. Tomorrow, the company will adopt new terms of service that explicitly state by using X, you are agreeing to let your posts be used to train AI, with seemingly no way to opt out. JOANNA STERN: That means that if you posted some text, a photo, a video, that X can suck that up and put it into its large language model training database. SELLERS: So X could then know personal information about you, and even create content using your image. Even prior to these new terms, the day after the election, X lost more users than any day since Elon Musk bought it in 2022. SELLERS: Other social media sites reaping the benefits. Bluesky welcoming 2.5 million new users in the last week. And Mets’s Threads up 15 million in November alone. Now, when NBC News asked X about, they didn’t respond directly, but instead pointed to previously published Election Day numbers, which they say were an all-time high for the platform. Lester. HOLT: All right, Savannah. Thanks much.

Scientific American Editor-in-Chief Resigns After Calling Trump Voters 'F****** Fascists'

Scientific American Editor-in-Chief Resigns After Calling Trump Voters 'F****** Fascists'

Scientific American bills itself as an outlet that “covers the most important and exciting research, ideas and knowledge in science, health, technology, the environment and society. It is committed to sharing trustworthy knowledge, enhancing our understanding of the world, and advancing social justice” that “reaches more than 10 million people around the world each month.” On Thursday, editor-in-chief Laura Helmuth resigned after calling Donald Trump voters “fucking fascists.” Helmuth posted on her Bluesky, the Twitter-like social media platform for liberals who don’t want their echo chamber damaged, account after Trump’s victory, “I apologize to younger voters that my Gen X is so full of fucking fascists.” Likewise, she posted “Solidtority to everyone whose meanest, dumbest, most bigoted high-school classmates are celebrating early results because fuck them to the moon and back.” Finally, she added “Every four years I remember why I left Indiana (where I grew up) and remember why I respect people who stayed and are trying to make it less racist and sexist. The moral arc of the universe isn’t going to bend itself.” On November 7, Helmuth tried to apologize, “I made a series of offensive and inappropriate posts on my personal Bluesky account on election night, and I am sorry. I respect and value people across the political spectrum. These posts, which I have deleted, do not reflect my beliefs; they were a mistaken expression of shock and confusion about the election results. These posts of course do not reflect the position of Scientific American or my colleagues. I am committed to civil communication and editorial objectivity.” The part about “editorial objectivity” is impossible to take seriously. Under Helmuth’s tenure, Scientific American broke its own 175-year precedent and endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. That endorsement focused heavily on COVID, but also praised Biden’s economic plans that had nothing to do with science. This election, Scientific American’s Harris endorsement was even more political. It trashed Trump’s first term judicial appointments, hyped abortion, gun control, and Harris’s Medicare and tax plans. During Helmuth’s time at the helm, Scientific American has also gone full woke. It has declared everything from the NFL to efforts to combat obesity racist and compared efforts to protect the integrity of women’s sports to race-based segregation. It has also claimed the belief in a sexual binary serves “mainly to reinforce gender and racial divisions by tying social status to the body.” Magazine president Kimberly Lau claimed Helmuth resigned on her own accord, but the truth is she should have been fired a long time ago. The Bluesky posts were a symptom of taking a respected outlet and turning into just another progressive echo chamber.

Trump's win is good news for all Americans — so let's act like it

Conservatives and independents alike cheered Trump’s November 6 landslide. “The country is saved! No more threat of WWIII or choosing between groceries and $7 per gallon gas,” was the victory cry.The media has lied to them about Donald Trump’s intentions. Or they might have had a very poor experience with a conservative person. Either way, these human beings on the left have worked themselves up into a panic. But as we revel in the joy of the second Trump presidency, let's keep in mind those across the aisle who are genuinely distraught. Thanks to accounts like Libs of TikTok, we're all too familiar with how deranged — and downright dangerous — leftists can be. But these are the extremists. We shouldn't let people on the fringe blind us to the sincere (albeit irrational) despair of half the country. The average Kamala Harris voter could be your sister, neighbor, aunt, friend, or coworker. And while they may be angry, anger usually comes from a place of deep hurt. As Ecclesiastes 3 puts it, “There is a time for everything ... a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.” I ask you, Trump voter, not to dampen your joy but to thoughtfully consider how you express that joy.A peek at social media gives a glimpse at how the "other side" is doing, revealing a range of emotions from rage to intense sorrow. We may scoff at these "liberal tears," but in some cases, they're a symptom of more serious problems. One mental health hotline saw an increase of 700% in calls and texts from LGBTQ+ youth. These are real people who are under the impression — whether it's based in reality or not — that they are in some kind of legitimate danger. The media has lied to them about Donald Trump’s intentions. Or they might have had a very poor experience with a conservative person. Either way, these human beings on the left have worked themselves up into a panic.Right now, our mission should be to reach out lovingly to these people and at least attempt to communicate with them. We can’t control how they respond, but that shouldn’t stop us from trying. It can be tempting to gloat in the faces of those who called Trump supporters “garbage” or “deplorables,” but an eye for an eye won’t win us this battle. Being a gracious winner is just as important as being a gracious loser. If we don’t get this right, do not be surprised if the pendulum swings back to the left, as it tends to do.If this is truly to be the party of unity, let it start now. Don't just invite those who agree with you into the fold. Loving kindness won’t win over everyone, but it may reassure some on the left that we as Christians, conservatives, or independents do not want to take away their rights or hurt them. We are not out to get them, and we hope that a Trump presidency produces a country where they can thrive too.So celebrate Trump’s victory! But please be wise and thoughtful about how you do so, and use your joy to make America great again for all Americans.

‘Get DEI and CRT out of the military’: Leftist media in shambles after Hegseth pick

President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Fox News personality Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense has sent shock waves through the liberal media — who believe Hegseth isn’t qualified. However, they seem completely unaware that Hegseth is not only a Fox News personality but has a Harvard degree, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and received two Bronze Stars. And he’s not interested in bowing to their equity-driven demands. “I’m straight-up just saying we should not have women in combat roles. It hasn’t made us more effective, hasn’t made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated. We’ve all served with women, and they’re great. It’s just our institutions don’t have to incentivize that in places where over human history, men in those positions are more capable,” Hegseth said in a recent interview. Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” couldn’t agree more. “Call me old-fashioned and I’m stuck in the mud in the 1950s, but I don’t think women should be in combat either. We don’t have to do the same things,” Gray says. Hegseth also explained how he plans on fixing the military in his new position, which includes firing the chairman of Joint Chiefs and any general or admiral who “was involved in any of the DEI, woke.” “You’ve got to get DEI and CRT out of the military academy, so you’re not training young officers to be baptized in this type of thinking, and then whatever the standards, whatever the combat standards were, say, in, I don’t know, 1995, let’s just make those the standards,” Hegseth continued. Of the leftists unhappy with Trump’s appointment of Hegseth, Don Lemon has been one of the most vocal, even posting a video of himself laughing and reading the appointment out loud. While Lemon had little to say about Hegseth's actual qualifications, he did laugh while he labeled Hegseth as simply a “morning weekend host on Fox News.” “Hold on, this is a self-own. He realizes that, right?” Keith Malinak laughs.
