Homan: Thousands Of Former Border Patrol, ICE Agents Want To Come Back

President-elect Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, said during an interview on Tuesday that he has received “thousands” of messages from former border and immigration officials who want to return now that a pro-law enforcement administration is getting ready to come back into power. Homan made the remarks during an interview with David Webb on SiriusXM’s “The David Webb Show” when asked about what additional government resources he needs to carry out Trump’s proposed mass deportations. “A lot of guys retired early or left because they weren’t able to do the job they took an oath to do,” he said. “So we need more manpower. DOD has helped several administrations on the border. They could be a force multiplier.” He noted that using manpower from the Pentagon does not mean that he will be sending the military into U.S. cities and arresting people. “The DOD could be used to help relieve law enforcement officers from administrative duties so they can get on the street and do what they’re supposed to be doing,” he said. “For instance, DOD could help with transportation. They could help ground transportation, they could help with air flights out. They can help with infrastructure building. They could help with intelligence. Things that don’t require immigration authority. So if DOD can help me, great. Other agencies, we’d love their help.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ He said that it was unfortunate that Democrat governors were already digging in to shield illegal aliens from having to face U.S. law enforcement. “I don’t understand what city or state would not want to assist in removing public safety threats from their community, removing national security threats from their community,” he said. “But I’ll tell you this, if they don’t want to help us, just get the hell outta the way. Because we’re going to do it. You’re not going to stop us. It’d be great if law enforcement would work with law enforcement.” He said that in just the last two days, he has received “thousands of texts and emails from retired border patrol agents, retired ICE agents, retired police officers, guys that just got outta the military that want to come help.” “And so we gotta see what we can do about bringing some more people on board,” he added. “And that’s all gonna depend on what kind of money we get when we get in there. But, you know, we’re gonna do the job. Despite the hate, we’re going do the job. Despite the resistance, we’re gonna do the job. Despite the roadblocks, we’re gonna do the job. You’re not gonna stop us. So either join us or get out of our way.” LISTEN: “Despite the hate, we’re going to do the job. Despite the resistance, we’re going to do the job. Despite the roadblocks, we’re going to do the job. You’re not going to stop us. So either join us or get out of our way.” –@RealTomHoman, President Elect @realDonaldTrump pick… pic.twitter.com/NcI9zFIBnL — SiriusXM Patriot (@SiriusXMPatriot) November 12, 2024

Amy Grant Opens Up About How “Precious” Life Is After Major Health Scare

At 63, Amy Grant appears the picture of health, but two serious health scares in the past few years have changed the singer’s life. People reported that in 2020, she had open heart surgery and sustained a brain injury during a bike crash two years later. She said the two scares “changed the way I look at life.” “I always saw myself living well into my nineties. My great-grandmother lived to be 94. She was sharp in the mind,” Amy told People. “To realize something can happen that you never see coming, and it could be over…everything became more precious.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amy Grant (@amygrantofficial) Amy Grant Discovered Her Heart Problem After Visiting The Doctor With Her Husband, Vince Gill She explained that Vince experienced some shortness of breath, and the doctor caring for him suggested she receive testing, too. Amy Grant learned she had a rare heart defect known as PAPVR, partial anomalous pulmonary venous return. The condition required open heart surgery, which saved her life. After the surgery, she told People that she committed to being fit. “I was probably in the best shape I had been in in a long time, maybe 20 years.” Then, in 2022, she hit a pothole while biking and sustained a head injury despite wearing a helmet. “I would just say, ‘What if I’m never all the way back?’ Because my processing was so slow. I could be in the room with people, but I didn’t have a comeback,” Amy Grant told People. “This has made us all look at each other with a kind of appreciation,” Amy said “I think being together maybe was a little bit on autopilot, and it doesn’t feel that way now.” Amy Grant and Vince Gill will begin their 14-annual Christmas at the Ryman residency in Nashville on November 29. They will be this year’s beneficiary of the CWA’s fundraising efforts. Read on to find out more about the foundation and how you can help support feline health research and change cats’ lives around the planet. EveryCat Health Foundation has supported medical and scientific breakthroughs in improving cat health and treating critical diseases since its founding in 1968. The CWA produced a video to highlight all of EveryCat’s contributions: CWA President Lynn Maria Thompson shared how proud they are to raise funds for the EveryCat Health Foundation. “[Their] investment in feline health research has had a profound impact on the lives of millions of cats. Looking back at our 30 years of dedication to excellence in cat-centric written, visual, and audio media, and our shared love of cats, we feel that EveryCat is a perfect fit for our fundraiser.” “We’re absolutely delighted to be honored by The Cat Writers Association in this way,” said EveryCat Executive Director Jackie Ott Jaakola. “We’re so impressed with their efforts to engage cat lovers everywhere and they’ve been equally supportive of our mission to help all cats everywhere. You can really see their excellence and dedication in the fabulous video they produced for the fundraiser.” About EveryCat Health Foundation Image Credit: Andy Gin, Shutterstock EveryCat Health Foundation is the world’s only nonprofit focused solely on funding feline health studies and improving feline healthcare. With nearly 400 million companion cats bringing joy to their families across the world, and cat ownership growing, feline health research remains underfunded compared to many other animals. Their mission is to advance feline health by supporting groundbreaking research and education. “Every cat, every day benefits from our foundation.” Founded in 1968 by The Cat Fanciers’ Association, EveryCat Health Foundation awarded its first grant in 1971, and since then has awarded more than $10 million in grants for groundbreaking cat health research at more than 30 partner institutions worldwide. Through the support of dedicated donors and partners, this funding is made possible. Research supported by EveryCat Health Foundation helps veterinarians by providing educational resources that improve the treatment of common feline health problems and prevent many diseases. Grants are reviewed and awarded with the help of the foundation’s expert Scientific Review Committee. They are still dedicated to their original vision of promoting the health and welfare of all cats, worldwide. For more information, visit: https://everycat.org/. Survivalism Meets Homesteading: The To-Do List

Survivalism Meets Homesteading: The To-Do List

In my previous article, Why Every Survivalist Should Be Homesteading, I talked about why it is important that every survivalist should consider starting a homestead. As survivalists, we are prepared with our stocked bug out bags ready to go at a moment’s notice. We have first aid kits and other needed supplies in our homes, our vehicles, and at work. We carry that preparedness attitude and our mindset is “WE ARE READY!”… but, are we? For a 72 hour emergency? Yes, most of us are. Read on for the to-do list when survivalism meets homesteading. -This was originally posted on Survival Life and has been shared with permission- Survivalism Meets Homesteading: The To-Do List In my previous article, I ran the scenario of being homebound during an emergency. No evacuation but, instead, the exact opposite. Roads shut down, which causes travel to become impossible, and our link to the outside world beyond our front lawns is cut off. You are in an entirely different situation. If you have stored food, water, and other supplies then that’s great! But, do you have enough of those necessities to sustain you and your family for possibly months or even years? What happens when your supplies (your lifeline) are gone? Now, I realize that this scenario is a little extreme. You may be wondering “Why the heck would roads shut down? We would be evacuated before that happens! Our outside world cut off? Oh come on…that’s overdoing it a little!”. Maybe. Maybe not… Whether my scenario will ever become a reality, none of us can be sure. I don’t know about you, but, I want to be prepared just in case. This is where I introduce homesteading as a survival tool…a survival mindset if you will. A homestead is not accomplished overnight. It takes extreme dedication and hard work. The world of homesteading is a lifestyle and can be your biggest reward in life, your biggest ally. Survival begins at home. “Where do I begin?” If you are now asking yourself this question then you have made that first step. You are considering it or have decided to give homesteading a go to ensure the long-term survival of every person in your household…your family! Whether you live in an urban area or a rural area, it can be done. To give you an idea of what your homestead has the potential of becoming let’s go over your daily necessities and how those needs can be met based on where you are – a rural area or an urban area. For now, let’s call it your to-do list – a list of needed items and tasks to get you well on your way to having a homesteading lifestyle that can literally be life-saving! The To-Do List You’d be surprised how similar urban and rural homesteading can be. Of course, you can’t have cattle in your backyard or a corn crop on your apartment patio but there are ways to have your needs met no matter where you live. Of course, we will not learn all there is to know about homesteading in this one article but, let’s go over the basic needs and your possible options. Food Rural area options: You can raise cattle, chickens (and other fowl), pigs, or goats. You can grow vegetable crops and/or raise honey bees. Urban area options: As far as raising animals for meat you can raise backyard chickens, quail, and rabbits. Hunting is another great option for urban (and rural) homesteaders. If you have room for an extra freezer then, by all means, consider taking advantage of this extra space. You can also have a garden, even if you live in an apartment! Check out my previous article on container gardening. This is the perfect solution if you are limited on space. Water Rural area options: For a long-term water supply, a well is the best option. I’m not an expert on this so I would like to share this website. It’s a great resource of information for water well basics. Also, for more tips and ideas, check out this great article on obtaining and storing water. Urban area options: Unfortunately, for urban homesteaders, there aren’t too many options for an unlimited water supply. My suggestion here is every time you go shopping, just make it a habit of grabbing as many gallon jugs of water as you can. Your water supply will be built up in no time. Collecting rainwater has been done in the past but, it actually has become prohibited in many states due to ongoing droughts. Click HERE for more detailed information regarding rainwater harvesting laws and legislation in your state. Cleaning Products This section is for both rural and urban homesteaders. Handmade products such as soap can be made anywhere. To make personal soap, check out this article on 23 DIY soap recipes you can make at home. To make soap for cleaning purposes, check out this article on DIY liquid castile soap. It’s all natural and is easy on your skin. For your laundry, check out this article on 9 DIY laundry detergent recipes. Clothing This section is also for rural and urban homesteaders. Learning how to crochet and how to sew will greatly benefit your whole family. It is also a great way to involve the kids in the whole homesteading lifestyle. When children are involved in this way they feel like they’re a part of something…something important. It’s a great idea to stock up on crocheting and sewing supplies whenever you can. Another great idea is investing in a decent sewing machine. I just bought one for myself and I love it. It’s a great way to make your own clothes, blankets, etc. James Yeager shows us a video on what food he has stored for bugging in: The things I’ve listed thus far are the basics of homesteading. Your basic needs can be met in a homebound situation with the things I’ve listed so far. As I go along with this series, I will go in more detail and do my best to bring you more valuable information on this part of your journey. Remember, survival starts at home. Being a survivalist is more than bug out bags and first aid kits. Being a survivalist is a mindset that should carry you in every part of your life, especially on your own turf.
