LOL: CNN Says Trump Won Because The Left Doesn't Have a 'Media Ecosystem'

The late night comedy shows may not have been very funny after Donald Trump’s election victory, but the Wednesday edition of CNN’s Inside Politics was as PBS News Hour White House correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez got the panel to agree that one reason Kamala Harris lost is that, unlike Trump, she did not have a “media ecosystem” to help her get across the finish line. Barron-Lopez desperately wanted to avoid the conclusion that Democrats need a reboot, “One thing that I think stands out also, we can't have this conversation, a little bit to your point, Dana, is that maybe it's not so much Democrats’ policies or messaging or the words they used specifically, but there is an entire right-wing media ecosystem that doesn’t exist on the left and it does not exist in the center or mainstream and people are getting their information in very different ways now.”     As she was speaking, Barron-Lopez’s fellow panelists, including John King of “Donald Trump tries to intimidate people, he bullies people, he tries to scare you away. That was Jack Smith with no words and a simple $5 sub in his hand saying ‘I'm not going anywhere’” fame, all chimed in heavy amounts of “yes.” Barron-Lopez rolled on, “And Donald Trump and Republicans and Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, know exactly how to reach Americans where they are regardless of age and demographic, and that played a big role in this because of the fact that, like, whether it was disinformation, misinformation or different propaganda, that they were feeding to the American public, that made them feel the way they did, and the American public felt as though—that they were being heard by Donald Trump.” Kamala Harris and Tim Walz’s media strategy consisted of interviews with Call Her Daddy, Stephen Colbert, Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel, The Daily Show, The Breakfast Club, and MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle. If that isn’t a left-wing ecosystem, then what is? Additionally, Inside Politics host Dana Bash may not want to view herself as part of a left-wing ecosystem, but she is. Outside of Harris and Walz’s media appearances, Barron-Lopez herself is one of the most biased reporters in the media at an outlet bankrolled by Uncle Sam. Of all the reasons Harris lost, the lack of a left-wing echo chamber isn’t one of them. Here is a transcript for the November 7 show: CNN Inside Politics with Dana Bash 11/7/2024 12:31 PM ET LAURA BARRON-LOPEZ: One thing that I think stands out also, we can't have this conversation, a little bit to your point, Dana, is that maybe it's not so much Democrats’ policies or messaging or the words they used specifically, but there is an entire right-wing media ecosystem— JOHN KING: Yes. DANA BASH: Oh, Yes. KING: Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. BARRON-LOPEZ: -- that doesn’t exist on the left and it does not exist in the center or mainstream and people are getting their information in very different ways now. And Donald Trump and Republicans and Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, know exactly how to reach Americans where they are regardless of age and demographic, and that played a big role in this because of the fact that, like, whether it was disinformation, misinformation or different propaganda, that they were feeding to the American public, that made them feel the way they did, and the American public felt as though — that they were being heard by Donald Trump.

DEI gave us Kamala Harris — the doctors it produces may be even worse

DEI gave us Kamala Harris — the doctors it produces may be even worse

We've had mediocre presidential candidates before, elevated beyond their ability thanks to money, connections, or their family name. Kamala Harris is the first one to make it to the top explicitly because of her race and sex. As such, she's the living embodiment of DEI.If Donald Trump defeats her, it will certainly strike a potent blow against this poisonous ideology. But Harris is merely the most high-profile beneficiary. Our institutions are already so captured by DEI that American lives are at stake. Is a white man’s life worth less than a black woman’s? Through DEI’s oppressor-victim hierarchy, the answer is unequivocally yes. Any serious attempt to undo the damage of a decade's worth of anti-meritocratic policies must begin in our medical schoolsIll communicationA recent report from the medical watchdog organization Do No Harm makes for a sobering read. American medical schools are prioritizing political agendas over essential health care education, with potentially dire consequences. Titled “Activism Instead of Anatomy,” the report claims that diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives are overshadowing traditional scientific and medical training at institutions nationwide. At the heart of the problem lies a clear departure from rigorous scientific training toward ideologically driven content. Medical students are now being subjected to courses that prioritize social and political goals over traditional medical knowledge. This includes an increased emphasis on identity politics and social theories that have little to do with developing the skills and knowledge essential for competent medical practice. This shift is eroding the essential knowledge needed for effective patient care. Moreover, this shift comes amid declining public trust in the medical establishment, which, rather than rebuilding confidence, seems intent on pushing Americans away — or into an early grave.Rigor mortisOne of the report’s most alarming findings is the diversion of crucial time and resources away from core medical training. Medical curricula are already demanding, yet DEI-focused coursework consumes hours that should be dedicated to vital subjects like anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology. Essentially, the rigor of medical education is being diluted, leaving future physicians less prepared for real-world challenges.Beyond replacing essential training, this ideological shift raises serious ethical concerns. Students are pressured to adopt a specific worldview, with dissent risking punishment (more on this later). Ironically, in the name of inclusivity, medical schools are stifling intellectual diversity. Training doctors to view patients primarily through an identity-based lens fosters division and undermines the principle of treating individuals as individuals. Is a white man’s life worth less than a black woman’s? Through DEI’s oppressor-victim hierarchy, the answer is unequivocally yes. White privilege has never looked so distinctly dangerous. This is not hyperbole. When identity politics and political correctness dominate medical training, there is a tangible risk of professionals prioritizing ideological considerations over evidence-based care. For example, as the report notes, the fixation on “correct” language and politically charged issues like transgender health care has, in some cases, overshadowed the need for solid, patient-centric approaches. While culturally competent care is essential, it should not replace scientifically sound medical practice but complement it.Doctor FeelbadThis ideological push in medical schools risks seeping into the broader health care system. When doctors-in-training are taught to prioritize identity markers and politically charged agendas over clinical facts, this mindset can infiltrate hospitals and influence health care policies, compromising every single aspect of patient care. The obsessive focus on DEI initiatives often sidelines efficiency and merit-based advancement, ultimately affecting patient outcomes.Remember, DEI agendas come at the cost of meritocracy. As a result, medical schools are not only admitting objectively less qualified students, but they are also producing objectively less competent doctors compared to just a few generations ago.DEI is genuinely destructive, posing existential risks in critical areas. In truth, it's a matter of life and death, with significantly higher amounts of the latter, if the report is to be believed. What we’re witnessing here is the professionalization of grievance and the prioritization of activism over expertise. Medical schools, once places of necessary knowledge and innovation, have transformed into training grounds for the next generation of political activists. The lunatics really are running the asylum. Worse yet, much of the DEI narrative rests on a shaky foundation. Or, to be more accurate, no foundation at all. Stage 4 racismRecently, Dr. Kendall Conger, a former emergency physician at Duke University Health System, was terminated for questioning the claim that racism is a "public health crisis."When Conger requested data to support this assertion, none was provided. Instead of engaging in dialogue, the institution punished him for raising a legitimate concern. This reaction reveals the hostile environment that sane medical professionals now face, where challenging the narrative leads not to discussion but to retribution. Cancel culture still exists. Common sense? Well, not so much. The report’s conclusion is clear. Medical schools must resist this ideological encroachment and refocus on their primary mission: Equipping future doctors with the skills and knowledge to save lives and improve patient outcomes. Yet, the damage seems done. Curricula take years to develop and implement. Even if the entire DEI agenda were addressed logically today, it would take years to return to the basics. In the meantime, more doctors will graduate, and more Americans will pay the ultimate price — with their lives.

Pastor ignites backlash by shaming black Trump supporters as 'ignorant stupid Negroes,' says Trump will make them slaves

An Alabama pastor has ignited backlash by demeaning black Trump supporters as "ignorant stupid Negroes" and hinting that former President Donald Trump will make them slaves when he gets back into the White House. Pastor Michael R. Jordan of the New Era Baptist Church in Birmingham posted the incendiary messages on the church's sign. Jordan plans to leave the message up outside his church through the inauguration.Jordan had the following message on the church's sign: “Warning African Americans: A vote for Trump will put blacks back to picking cotton.”The other side of the sign reads: “Attention to all blacks who plan to vote for Trump: You are an ignorant stupid Negro.”The controversial sign sparked outrage. Alabama's Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth — a Republican — said of the sign, "Churches are supposed to spread the Gospel, offer messages of God’s love, and share the life of Christ, not threaten, intimidate, and insult those who exercise their right to vote and support the candidate that is best for them. Those responsible for this sign should be ashamed."When Jordan was asked if his controversial style might hurt his church, he told WVTM-TV, “No, they know point-blank it's an ear-catcher.” Jordan added, "He's thinking from a Republican point of view. Donald Trump is making sad, pitiful negative statements about people every day."Jordan plans to leave the message up outside his church through the inauguration.During his 32-year tenure at the New Era Baptist Church, the pastor has had a history of making inflammatory statements on his church's sign. In 2019, he displayed a sign that read: “A white vote for Trump is pure racism.” Alabama.com noted that Jordan attacked the Church of the Highlands in 2018 for planning to launch a church in a predominantly black neighborhood by calling it a “slavemaster” church. In 2017, he posted a message that said: “Trump deceived poor white folks.”In 2004, Jordan's church had a sign that read: “AIDS is God’s curse on homosexuals.”According to the Christian Post, Jordan said, “This is my ministry. This is my calling. Pastor, white or black, is a watchman. I’m going to take a stand.”Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Harris campaign reportedly in steep debt, still asking for donations after spending $1 billion to lose election

The failed Harris-Walz campaign is facing some difficult questions about how it spent more than a billion dollars in campaign donations after reportedly ending with $20 million in debt. Many pundits saw the historic donations to the Harris campaign as a sign that the vice president was heading for victory, but President-elect Donald Trump easily won the election while being outspent. According to sources who spoke to Politico California bureau chief Christopher Cadelago, the campaign ended up at least $20 million in debt despite raising and spending more than $1 billion. An email from the campaign claimed that it was still keeping "organizers and volunteers on the ground" in those states "with key Senate and House races still too close to call" and asked for more money from donors. A separate report from Puck News said that the campaign was selling its email list in order to help pay the massive debt. Breitbart News said a campaign staffer confirmed that Harris deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty was "currently shopping around the Kamala fundraising email list to anyone who wants it to try to raise the money back." That report claims that the campaign blew through the massive pool of cash by paying for lavish campaign events with celebrities and pop singers instead of putting that money into marketing that could have helped Harris win. According to the New York Times, the Harris campaign spent into "six figures" to fly banners over NFL games, while the Guardian reported that the campaign spent $450,000 per day to have ads on the Las Vegas Sphere in Nevada. Trump was declared the winner of the election early Wednesday morning just hours after most polls closed. Like Blaze News? Did 'The Joe Rogan Experience’ help Trump win? Elon Musk thinks so

Podcasts have largely overtaken the mainstream media and television in general as a source of not only America’s entertainment but its news and information. And as the Biden-Harris administration appeared to collaborate with the mainstream media, as well as social media, to censor information, those podcasts became even more important to those Americans who tuned in. Elon Musk is well aware that this played a major role in Donald Trump’s second election. “I think it made a big difference that President Trump and soon to be Vice President Vance went on lengthy podcasts,” Musk told Tucker Carlson in a recent post-election interview. “This really makes a difference, because you know, people look at Joe Rogan’s podcast, which is great, and Lex Fridman’s and the "All-In Podcast," and you know, to a reasonable-minded smart person who’s not hard-core one way or the other, they just listen to someone talk for a few hours and that’s how they decide whether you’re a good person, whether they like you,” he continued. However, not everyone is built for a long-form podcast — which is one reason Kamala might have lost.“Nothing would do more damage to Kamala’s campaign than going on Joe Rogan, because she’d run out of non-sequiturs after about 45 minutes,” Musk told Tucker, laughing. “You can’t hide in three hours,” Tucker agreed. “Yeah, hour two and three would be a complete melted puddle of nonsense, it would just be absolutely game over,” Musk added, noting that the opposite is why Trump did so well. “Trump, on the other hand,” Elon began, “there’s no talking points. He’s just being a normal person. He’s having a conversation.” After Trump secured the popular vote, it’s obvious that most Americans feel the same way — though some Americans are losing their minds over the results. “We all know people that are still brainwashed,” Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” comments after watching the clip of Elon and Tucker. “The reason they are upset is because there has been a system in place that told them that Hitler is about to take over again.” “That is so sad and unfortunate and is going to take mass deprogramming, not so that they can believe everything we believe, but so that they can be deprogrammed from a machine that has taught them all of the wrong things and to hate all of the wrong people,” he adds. Oregon U. official reportedly says 'go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump.' He's also a hazing prevention speaker.

Oregon U. official reportedly says 'go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump.' He's also a hazing prevention speaker.

A University of Oregon administrator said, "Go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump," according to a campus newspaper, which included video of the rant in its story. What's more, the school official also is a hazing prevention speaker who reportedly did jail time over a fatal fraternity hazing incident in 2012.The Daily Emerald reported that assistant director of fraternity and sorority life Leonard Serrato posted an Instagram story after this week's presidential election in which Trump handily beat Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.'I'm done crying. My sadness is over. My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that. Love it about myself, actually.'The paper said Serrato told his followers on the social media platform — some of whom are Oregon students — "You can literally go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump. If you are so sad about your groceries being expensive, get a better f***ing paying job. Do better in life. Get a f***ing education. Do something, 'cause you’re f***ing stupid."Before he made a sideways peace sign in the clip, the rant ended with him saying, "And I hope you go jump off of a f***ing bridge." You can view video of the rant included in the paper's story here; you can view a photo of Serrato here from the website of the University of Oregon, which is a public college.A longer version of the rant includes the following preface: "I'm done crying. My sadness is over. My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that. Love it about myself, actually. And so, I say this in the most disrespectful way possible: I don't care if you are my family. I don't care if you are my friend. I don't care if we've been friends our entire lives."The Daily Emerald reported that Serrato later posted an Instagram Reel in which he discusses the presidential election results. The paper said he addressed students, including those of “color” and who identify as “LGBTQIA," and encouraged them to “take care of yourself and know that you have my support.”The Daily Emerald said Serrato soon made his Instagram account private and declined to comment to the paper.University of Oregon spokesperson Eric Howald told the Daily Emerald the “university is currently collecting more information about the situation" and that for now "it appears that the individual made the post on their own time, which is well within their rights."What else do we know about Serrato?Serrato's LinkedIn profile indicates he's also a hazing prevention speaker. A month ago, Serrato reposted on his LinkedIn page a short item about himself from ForCollegeForLife — and the following excerpt appears to explain why he speaks against hazing:Leo Serrato could have never imagined he’d be delivering this message. Before August 31, 2012, his fraternity membership experience had been typical. That night, however, changed everything. One of the new members of his chapter died in an alcohol-related hazing incident. Due to his involvement, Leo was charged and sentenced to jail time, and, because of this, he made it a personal mission to work to end hazing. He vowed to his brother he would not let his death be in vain.A 2018 profile story in the Sonoma State Star student newspaper about Serrato — who had just become the new lead campus advisor for fraternity and sorority life at Sonoma State — noted that Serrato "was involved in a hazing related death while attending Fresno State in 2012, where one of his pledges died from excessive drinking caused by hazing." The Star added that Serrato pleaded "no contest to a misdemeanor charge of hazing and providing alcohol to a minor causing death in 2014. According to the Press Democrat, he was sentenced to 90 days in the Fresno County Jail, 90 days in the county’s adult offender work program, three years probation, and a $220 fine."Serrato was quoted in the story: “When I was new member educator, one of our new members passed away from a hazing related incident and it was that incident that truly inspired me and opened up my eyes to what my mission and purpose is in life and that is to educated [sic] students on hazing."Howald on Thursday afternoon didn't immediately respond to Blaze News' request for comment asking whether the University of Oregon knew about the charges against him when it hired Serrato.Serrato on Thursday afternoon didn't immediately respond to Blaze News' request for comment, specifically whether he had anything to say in the wake of his reported statements about Trump voters in light of his declared "mission and purpose" in regard to educating others about hazing.Like Blaze News? Republicans flip fourth Senate seat, this time in Pennsylvania

Republican challenger Dave McCormick narrowly defeated Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania on Thursday. McCormick won the seat with 48.9% of the vote while Casey managed to secure 48.5%, according to Politico. Pennsylvania is the fourth Senate seat Republicans have flipped this election cycle, alongside Montana, West Virginia, and Ohio.Republicans now hold the majority in the Senate with 53 seats while Democrats hold 45 seats. The Nevada and Arizona Senate races have not been called yet. Casey has served as one of Pennsylvania's two senators since he was first elected in 2006, winning his three elections by substantial margins. This time around, McCormick was able to overcome Casey's nearly eight-point lead in August and turn it into a 0.4-point loss in November. These polling numbers sounded the alarm for Casey's campaign in the weeks leading up to the election. Casey refocused his campaign to moderate his policies and distance himself from his party, even running a pro-Trump ad and calling himself an "independent." Like Blaze News? Generation Zero dev says co-op FPS’ next update will be its last

Well, all good things must come to an end, and developer Systemic Reaction has just confirmed that support for Generation Zero is wrapping up after one final, generously-sized update.
