NYT roasted for absurd take after SCOTUS rules Virginia can purge noncitizens from voting rolls: 'Very rare'

The New York Times on Wednesday issued a rather jaw-dropping X post after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Virginia can purge noncitizens from its voter rolls. The Times' post noted that the high court was "siding with Republicans who said it was to prevent noncitizens from voting."'NYT simps for "only a little bit of illegal voting."'Then came the post's last sentence: "Studies show that noncitizens voting is very rare."It would appear those final eight words raised the ire — and eyebrows — of more than a few observers. You know, on the level of that infamous video of a burning building amid a nighttime riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during the summer of 2020 as CNN's video caption read, "Fiery but mostly peaceful protests after police shooting." Or when ABC News anchor Martha Raddatz earlier this month downplayed the crisis of Venezuelan gangs in Colorado by insisting to Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance that gang takeovers in Aurora have been "limited to a handful of apartment complexes ... a handful of problems."So according to the Times, is it OK to keep noncitizens on voting rolls ... because they rarely vote anyway? How are commenters reacting? As you might expect, many commenters took exception to the "paper of record." Here are a few examples:"Rare doesn't make it legal," one commenter stated."'Studies show.' Glad you can at least acknowledge that the number is not zero," another user noted. "Just an FYI, these people in this case self-identified as non-citizens. They cannot legally vote anyway. So removing them shouldn't be an issue.""It doesn’t matter what your studies show," another commenter wrote. "There is no reason for non-citizens to be on any voting roll.""How about just remove any chance of it at all?" another user asked. "NYT simps for 'only a little bit of illegal voting.'""Rare? Since when is rare acceptable? Have you not noticed what's going on at the Washington Post?" another commenter inquired. "Your 15 minutes of bubble liberal politics have come to an end.""This is why you are trash," another user declared."Studies show that a particular crime is rare. Accordingly, laws against it should not be enacted nor enforced," another commenter wondered incredulously. "Is that how this works now?"Like Blaze News? Trump wins major lawsuit in crucial swing state

Former President Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee won a lawsuit Wednesday against Bucks County, Pennsylvania, extending early voting through November 1. The lawsuit extending the voting deadline was filed this morning after voters expressed complaints about being turned away from voting applications due to the original deadline on Tuesday. Due to the state's electoral significance, this legal victory may be particularly consequential with less than a week until the election. "This is against the law," the Trump campaign said in a press release Wednesday. "This is voter suppression from the left. We will fight for every legal vote in Pennsylvania. Go vote, and stay in line!""Thank you to the court for making the right decision and for finding that Bucks County violated the Pennsylvania election code and providing the requested relief," James Blair, political director for the Trump campaign and the RNC, said in a post on X following the verdict. Of the seven battleground states, Pennsylvania is the largest, boasting 19 electoral votes. Due to the state's electoral significance, this legal victory may be particularly consequential with less than a week until the election. Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania responded to the allegations prior to the verdict on Wednesday, criticizing Trump's rhetoric and past concerns over election integrity. "Republican and Democratic clerks of elections are doing their jobs here in Pennsylvania – and together with law enforcement, they’re making sure only eligible voters are able to register and vote," Shapiro said in a post on X. "Let's remember, in 2020, Donald Trump attacked our elections over and over. ... He's now trying to use the same playbook to stoke chaos, but hear me on this: we will again have a free and fair, safe and secure election — and the will of the people will be respected." "We will keep fighting," Michael Whatley, chairman of the RNC, said in a post on X announcing the legal victory. "Go vote! Stay in line!" Like Blaze News? Transgender activist's Super PAC sent misleading texts to thousands of voters

A left-wing "voter mobilization" group admitted sending misleading texts to voters that told them they had already voted when they had not. Charlotte Clymer, a transgender activist and spokesperson for AllVote, told CNN that the texts were sent out to “several thousand registered voters" in Pennsylvania. Officials in other states have flagged for 'scam' texts with misinformation in North Carolina and Arizona as well. The texts told voters they had already voted in the November election, but the group said that they intended the texts to say that records showed they had voted in the previous election in 2022. The message left out the "in 2022" part and confused voters, the group said. Clymer said the “unfortunate copy-editing error" was made by "staff working long hours." However, the group has also been accused of voting-text shenanigans in Michigan as well. The Wisconsin Election Commission said the group sent out texts with links that "at first appeared to be the voter’s municipal website" but were incorrect. The commission also criticized AllVote for appearing to portray itself as an official source of voting information. “Voters should be very careful when dealing with this type of unsolicited outreach, as the information being put forth is often inaccurate and misleading," said the commission's administrator, Meagan Wolfe. Clymer told CNN the texts had been sent to about 15,000 voters in Wisconsin but denied that group members had represented themselves as election officials. “We take every step to ensure we don’t send voters incorrect information,” Clymer said. The group did not respond to requests from CNN about who had funded its efforts. Officials in other states have flagged for "scam" texts with misinformation in North Carolina and Arizona as well. Clymer has been an outspoken activist for the transgender movement and made headlines when the activist referred to God with female pronouns and claimed God made the activist a transgender person. Tim Walz says the Electoral College ‘needs to go.’ Mark Levin explains what that would look like

The Democrat Party claims to be the party of the people. Why then is one of Tim Walz’s goals to eliminate the Electoral College? Earlier this month at a fundraiser hosted by the equally degenerate Gavin Newsom, Walz made the claim that “the Electoral College needs to go.” If Democrats succeed in this evil endeavor, “11 blue states will decide the president,” and “all the rest of the country – the 39 other states, tens of millions of people – will literally have no say in the election of the president,” Mark Levin explains. Campaigning will take place “mostly in the cities,” meaning the people who live in more rural areas or work in industries such as agriculture, natural resources, and the like “will have no representation whatsoever.” “The big metropolitan cities will decide who's president, which would be an utter and complete disaster, but the Democrat Party wants monopoly,” says Levin, adding that in addition to eliminating the Electoral College, the party also wants to “eliminate the filibuster” so that the party can rapidly pass laws “that will be impossible to undo.” Then “they'll say, ‘We don't need to amend the Constitution; we're going to pass two statutes – the District of Columbia gets two senators and Puerto Rico gets two senators.”' That’s “four more Democrats,” says Levin. “The Senate will never overcome that; Republicans will never be in the majority again.” A Harris-Walz regime “will change the voting system forever.” To hear more of what this disastrous duo wants to change, watch the clip above. Swiss suicide pod’s debut turns darker: Doctor raises murder suspicion over victim’s neck injuries

The death of a 64-year-old woman is under criminal investigation as Swiss prosecutors determine whether or not the death was an intentional homicide despite being first thought to be assisted suicide. The American mother of two, who has not been named, was initially thought to have died inside a capsule called the Sarco in Merishausen, Switzerland, in late September. Now, a Swiss prosecutor is alleging the woman may have been strangled in an "intentional homicide." A forensic doctor also testified that the woman had, among other things, severe neck injuries. The Sarco device is a suicide pod meant to allow users to push a button to inject nitrogen gas into the chamber, causing death by suffocation. The company behind the pod is a firm called the Last Resort. The company commented on the matter, saying, “On Monday 23 September, at approximately 16.01 CEST, a 64-year old woman from the mid-west in the USA died using the Sarco device.”Co-president of the organization Florian Willet called the woman's death “peaceful, fast and dignified.” He added that it occurred under “a canopy of trees, at a private forest retreat.”According to LBC, Willet was the only person physically present when the woman died, with Sarco inventor Philip Nitschke reportedly following the process via video call. However, he allegedly did not see the entire process due to technical difficulties.Willet has been in custody for weeks since the woman's death, originally because the pod is illegal. At the time, Swiss Interior Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider told the Swiss parliament that the use of the Sarco was not legal. Fiona Stewart, member of the advisory board and COO of the Last ResortPhoto by ARND WIEGMANN/AFP via Getty Images'She's still alive, Philip.'The Last Resort has said its program is legal, however, and does not require specific approval because the user presses the button. The company also states that the user must prove sound mental capacity before the act is carried out.The woman who allegedly took her own life with the machine reportedly did so because of a bone marrow infection. However, when Willet spoke to Nitschke over the video call, he reportedly told the inventor, "She's still alive, Philip."The comment reportedly came six and a half minutes after the user pressed the button in the machine. The court also allegedly heard that Willet was continuously leaning over the Sarco to look inside and was confused by an alarm that may have been a heart-rate monitor. An unspecified number of people were arrested following the woman's death, likely from the Last Resort company. However, all have since been released except for Willet.Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!

New Killer Klowns map sees Steam player numbers double, but there’s a catch

Dead by Daylight needs some competition in the world, and recently offerings like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Killer Klowns from Outer Space The Game have been able to step into the space once solely held by that title. Unfortunately, the latter of those has had a rough time since launch with players on Steam turning away from it, but a newly released patch and map has seen a turnaround in that downward trend. At least, partially.
