CBS News Puts Out Defensive Statement on Sleazy Editing of Kamala '60 Minutes' Interview

CBS News put out a statement of self-defense on Sunday night about the obvious differences in editing of their Kamala Harris interview. The word salad aired in a Face The Nation promo didn’t match the shorter, more coherent answer that aired the next night on a 60 Minutes special. It began like a PolitiFact evaluation: "Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false.” If the two different answers aren't "deceitful," they're sneaky. The one in the program clearly makes Harris sound more in command of the English language than the larger answer did. CBS insisted it was "Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response." But CBS still refuses to release the full transcript (or partial transcript of this specific question and answer), which can only arouse suspicion. Let's just guess they cued her up for a second try at the answer.  They proclaimed: "When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point. The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide ranging 21-minute-long segment." It also makes her look more in command of the issues. It's putting a thumb on the scale for the Democrats.  Then the statement tried to attack Trump for backing out of a hostile interview with Scott Pelley, who as an evening-news anchor in 2017 slammed Trump for "presidential statements devoid of reality" and "tweeting tantrums and falsehoods." “Remember, Mr. Trump pulled out of his interview with 60 Minutes and the vice president participated,” they proclaimed, as if CBS didn’t have a double standard. “Our long-standing invitation to former President Trump remains open. If he would like to discuss the issues facing the nation and the Harris interview, we would be happy to have him on 60 Minutes.” They're trying to imply Trump is a coward, when they won't display the courage to let the public see how they manipulated these video clips.  The Trump campaign issued its own statement, which read in part:  60 Minutes just admitted to doing exactly what President Trump accused them of doing. They edited in a different response -- from another part of her answer -- to make Kamala Harris sound less incoherent than she really was. Their statement is not a denial, it is an admission that they did exactly what they were accused of.

CBS News finally responds to criticism of its 'deceitful' Harris edit — with an anti-Trump denial

CBS News broke its silence Sunday, addressing President Donald Trump and other critics' concern that its "60 Minutes" interview with Kamala Harris was deceptively edited in hopes of portraying the vice president as more coherent than the original footage would otherwise suggest. Rather than admit the difference between previews of the interview and the final that ultimately aired on Oct. 7 amounted to strategic changes in Harris' favor, CBS News instead suggested it was par for the course and that Trump was in the wrong. "Former President Donald Trump is accusing 60 Minutes of deceitful editing of our Oct. 7 interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. That is false," the network said in a statement, released just one week after Gallup revealed Americans continue to register record-low trust in the media. Trump previously suggested: I've never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced ('cut and pasted') Lyin' Kamala's answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the 'News Division,' which must be licensed, to make her look 'more Presidential,' or a least, better. It may also be a major Campaign Finance Violation. This is a stain on the reputation of 60 Minutes that is not recoverable — It will always remain with this once storied brand. CBS News, which has yet to release the undoctored transcript, said further in its Sunday statement, "60 Minutes gave an excerpt of our interview to Face the Nation that used a longer section of her answer than that on 60 Minutes. Same question. Same answer. But a different portion of the response." "When we edit any interview, whether a politician, an athlete, or movie star, we strive to be clear, accurate and on point," continued the statement. "The portion of her answer on 60 Minutes was more succinct, which allows time for other subjects in a wide ranging 21-minute-long segment." 'The extent of their deceptive edits must be SIGNIFICANT for them to refuse to release the actual transcript.' Contrary to its suggestion, CBS News appears to have ventured beyond Harris' actual response for a usable answer in an effort to make the vice president come across as "clear, accurate and on point." Blaze News previously reported that in one preview for the interview, CBS News' Bill Whitaker asked the vice president whether America lacks influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his strategic decisions in the Middle East. After a labyrinthine response from Harris, Whitaker stated, "It seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening." Harris then responded, "Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region." The vice president's response was widely mocked as another word salad when previewed by CBS' "Face the Nation" — such that its absence was hard to miss when the final version was released the following day. The final makes it look as if Harris responded by saying, "We're not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end." Karoline Leavitt, press secretary for the Trump campaign, said in response to CBS News' Sunday statement, "60 Minutes just admitted to doing exactly what President Trump accused them of doing. They edited in a different response — from another part of her answer — to make Kamala Harris sound less incoherent than she really was." Leavitt noted that "their statement is not a denial, it is an admission that they did exactly what they were accused of." "Release the transcript!" added Leavitt. Numerous other critics have demanded the release of the transcript and speculated about the true nature of Harris' responses. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who has himself been subjected to deceptive edits on CBS News, wrote, "@60Minutes has now confirmed what we all know: they edited the video. Now release the FULL transcript and video." "60 Minutes continues to conceal the unedited transcript of its interview with Kamala Harris. Here, they also lie about the controversy surrounding that transcript. The extent of their deceptive edits must be SIGNIFICANT for them to refuse to release the actual transcript," tweeted Federalist editor in chief Mollie Hemingway. Curtis Houck, managing editor of News Busters, asked, "What are you all hiding?" 'When broadcasters manipulate interviews and distort reality, it undermines democracy itself.' The Center for American Rights has filed a formal complaint with the Federal Communications Commission over its edits to the Harris interview, noting that "CBS crosses a line when its production reaches the point of so transforming an interviewee's answer that it is a fundamentally different answer. This CBS may not do." Daniel Suhr, President of the Center for American Rights, said in a statement, "This is about the public's trust in the media on critical issues of national security and international relations during one of the most consequential elections of our time. When broadcasters manipulate interviews and distort reality, it undermines democracy itself. The FCC must act swiftly to restore public confidence in our news media." CBS News' treatment of Harris prompted a former guest to conclude the network is politically motivated. "I can testify from our personal experience that @60Minutes is not honest in their journalism," wrote Moms for Liberty co-founder Tina Descovich. "They came to our interview with a predetermined narrative & when we pointed to truth they used tactics & editing to tell the story they were determined to tell." Descovich and fellow Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice spoke to "60 Minutes" host Scott Pelley in October 2023 about their organization and its work reinforcing parental rights and combating grooming efforts in the classroom. Noticeably absent from the final, released in March, was footage of Descovich and Justice describing the graphic sexual content contained in the books that Democrats wanted to keep in public school libraries — footage that would have damaged CBS News' preferred narrative. Trump taps into the heart of wholesome Americana working McDonald's drive-thru, serving up fries

Over the weekend, former President Donald Trump tapped into the heart of classic Americana while working the McDonald's drive-thru, where he served up french fries to his enthusiastic supporters. As Trump made his way to the McDonald's location in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, he was greeted by massive crowds of supporters lining the streets surrounding the establishment. The majority sported red and waved Trump flags.'I think I might come back and do it again.'As the Republican presidential nominee drove by, the crowd chanted, "USA!"Once he arrived at the location, Trump, wearing a red tie to match the company's colors, was provided with an apron before heading over to the deep fryers, where an employee instructed him on how to make McDonald's iconic french fries. After manning the fryers, Trump greeted customers at the drive-thru line and passed out their orders. Photo by Win McNamee/Getty ImagesOne customer told Trump, "Mr. President, thank you for taking a bullet for us.""Wow, thank you, Mr. President," the customer's husband stated. "You made it possible for ordinary people like us to meet you.""This is fun. I could do this all day," Trump said. "I wouldn't mind this job. I like this job. I think I might come back and do it again."Trump spoke to reporters outside as he worked the drive-thru."Look at the crowd over there," he said, pointing to his supporters lining the streets. "Look how happy everybody is. They're happy because they want hope. They need hope. And that's what we're doing. That's what we're going to give — much more than hope.""Look at the enthusiasm," Trump continued. "I mean, that's thousands of people over there. They go miles back. That's incredible."He raised his hand outside the drive-thru window to wave at his supporters, and the crowd responded with booming cheers. One reporter started to ask Trump a question about opponent Vice President Kamala Harris' previous claims that she had once worked at McDonald's in the 1980s."Now I have worked at McDonald's," Trump stated. "I've now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala. She never worked here."When asked why Harris would lie about working at the fast-food joint, Trump responded, "Because she's 'Lyin' Kamala.'"He told reporters that working at McDonald's is "a great job to take in the beginning," noting that it requires "great expertise." While wholesome images of Trump's shift at the fast-food diner flooded social media on Sunday, the left and its corporate media allies had a complete meltdown over the campaign stop for the most puzzling reason. Some news outlets referred to Trump's work shift as "staged," prompting mockery from many on social media. YouTube personality and attorney Viva Frei wrote on X, "You mean they didn't bring Trump into the kitchen of a random unsecured McDonald's to serve unvetted strangers at a drive-through after two failed assassination attempts in three months?""OMG I HAD NO IDEA!" he added."Wait are you suggesting that Trump is not actually a McDonald's employee?" Commentator Collin Rugg stated on X. "There's no way! We totally thought he was dropping out of the race to become a McDonald's employee in PA."Like Blaze News? Dem leaders allegedly helped noncitizen vote as fallout from shady mayoral primary in Connecticut continues

Two Democrat officials in Bridgeport, Connecticut, have been accused of helping a permanent resident cast a vote even after the woman reportedly mentioned she was not a U.S. citizen.Alfredo Castillo, a Democrat city councilman, and Wanda Geter-Pataky — the vice chairwoman of the Bridgeport Democratic Party and a close associate of Mayor Joe Ganim (D), who spent seven years behind bars for political corruption — allegedly engaged in election fraud in both 2019 and 2023.Both Castillo and Geter-Pataky — as well as two other defendants — have already been charged in connection with allegedly mishandling absentee ballots in 2019, as Blaze News previously reported.'American elections are for American citizens — who cast their votes free of corruption or coercion.'Now, according to the CT Mirror, both have been accused of helping Arianna Hernandez, a Bridgeport permanent resident who communicates mainly in Spanish even though she has lived in the U.S. legally for 20 years, cast an absentee ballot in the Bridgeport mayoral primary in September 2023.Earlier this month, Hernandez averred in an affidavit that Castillo and an unidentified woman stopped by her home in 2023 and persuaded her to sign a voter registration application."I did not fill out the form," Hernandez wrote in the complaint, according to an official English translation. "I do not know when it was filled."Hernandez further insisted that she "did not indicate on the form" that she was a U.S. citizen. In fact, she told the CT Mirror that she specifically mentioned to Castillo that she is not a citizen."He told me that I would not have a problem if I voted as a permanent resident," she said in Spanish on the affidavit.According to Hernandez, Castillo later arrived at her home again, this time with an absentee ballot application and ballot that she signed but did not fill out."Alfredo returned ... with another form which indicated that I could not vote in person because I was sick. That is not true," Hernandez wrote. "I never filled out the absentee ballot, but I signed it because Alfredo told me he would fill it out.""After I signed the absentee ballot application, Mr. Alfredo Castillo gave me the absentee ballot to sign," she continued. "After I signed it, Alfredo took all of the forms in an envelope.""He told me that I would not have any problems being a permanent resident and convinced me to sign everything."The serial number on Hernandez's absentee ballot application indicates that it was among the forms Castillo collected in January 2023, the CT Mirror reported. The affidavit said that Geter-Pataky signed at least one of Hernandez's ballot forms, claiming to have assisted her in filling it out.Records show that Hernandez registered to vote in February 2023 and withdrew the registration nine months later but still managed to cast a ballot in September 2023, when the Bridgeport mayoral primary election was held. She claimed she learned of her error when attempting to apply for citizenship.Hernandez's complaint has since been submitted to the Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission."The consequences for noncitizens attempting to vote are serious, including deportation, fines and imprisonment," said Jeannette Dardenne, a spokesperson for the Connecticut Secretary of State's Office.Frank Riccio, an attorney representing Castillo, declined the CT Mirror's request for comment while John Gulash, Geter-Pataky’s attorney, and Mayor Ganim did not respond to a request for comment. In a statement to Blaze News, Carol Platt Liebau — president of the Yankee Institute, a political watchdog group in Connecticut — lamented that citizens voting in good faith are the ultimate victims of any voter fraud scheme, which she called the greatest "threat to democracy.""Every vote that is cast illegally cancels out the ballot of a legal voter — and often, these days, that means the ballot of a new citizen who waited in line and went to great trouble and expense to become an American citizen in accordance with the law," she said."Democracy doesn’t fall in one blow — it’s chipped away with each act of dishonesty that undermines the integrity of our elections. American elections are for American citizens — who cast their votes free of corruption or coercion," Yankee Institute fellow Frank Ricci, a Connecticut fire chief, added in a statement to Blaze News.Geter-Pataky has also been accused of stuffing the ballot box just before the contentious 2023 Democratic mayoral primary after surveillance cameras at city hall appeared to show her deposit stacks of ballots in the early-morning hours of September 5, 2023. That primary election was so rife with irregularities that a judge later tossed the results and demanded a new primary be held. Ganim prevailed in both the general election and the primary re-do over challenger John Gomes.Like Blaze News? 'Trans' male athlete caused her brain bleed — now she’s speaking out

Payton McNabb is a former volleyball player who suffered devastating injuries at the young age of 17, when her team was faced with a transgender player on the opposite end of the court. “I’m not tall enough to block, so I never block. I always just do tips, and it works for every other team except for this one,” McNabb tells Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable.” “I was back there and I got hit right in the face, they guess it was about 70 miles per hour." “It knocked me unconscious, he spiked the ball,” she says, adding, “I love sports, it’s brought so much into my life. But unfortunately, everything was taken away that day, because of a boy. And it was just completely avoidable, which is the thing, so that’s why it’s so frustrating to me.” While women who play sports are told that injuries are unavoidable no matter who’s on the other team, McNabb completely disagrees. “You’re going to get hurt, which like obviously, but not to that extreme of an injury, unless you’re playing against a boy,” she says. McNabb recalls being unconscious for 30 seconds, and when she came to, she heard a scream in the background, while the rest of the gym went silent. “Once I woke up, the trainer for the other team, he asked me if I knew what just happened to me. And I was like, ‘Yeah, that boy just hit me in the face,’” McNabb explains. “We were not allowed to talk about it, so he didn’t know what to say, so he just kind of rushed me off the court.” The doctors immediately referred McNabb to a neurologist when it became obvious that she was suffering from a brain bleed. “I was just completely off, I was repeating things over and over again, I was sleeping all the time, didn’t have any balance really, was falling everywhere, my memory was just not good. It was a really hard time,” she explains, noting that her official diagnosis was a brain bleed, a concussion, and permanent whiplash. “You’re lucky that your neck didn’t or your spinal cord didn’t actually snap,” Stuckey says, disturbed. “That’s what the doctor said, and they were so confused on how I got this bad of an injury in a high school volleyball game,” she says, adding, “so then my mom finally had to be like, ‘Well, it was a guy.’” Want more from Allie Beth Stuckey? To enjoy more of Allie’s upbeat and in-depth coverage of culture, news, and theology from a Christian, conservative perspective, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

What Kamala’s final campaign push tells us about her secret fears

What Kamala’s final campaign push tells us about her secret fears

Kamala Harris is trying to convince Democrats and independents to support her. That seems standard enough, except we’re just two weeks away from Election Day — and Democrats’ much-loved early voting has been under way since September. Persuasion is an essential part of any campaign, of course. The problem for Harris is that she’s still in persuasion mode in late October, when that bit is really supposed to be over. Sure, Democratic Party hijinks made it so that her runway was historically short, but even then, she didn’t really start campaigning until two weeks ago. Now she’s in a panic. Trump is in base-turnout mode. His focus isn’t convincing new people — it’s getting those people he’s convinced to turn up and vote. It’s not just her desperate pandering to black men, detailed expertly in the next part of this letter by Blaze politics reporter Rebeka Zeljko. It’s also her outreach to independents and disenfranchised Republicans on Fox News and her attempts to reach Joe Rogan’s mostly male audience. In a normal campaign with a normal nominee, these moves might signal confidence and a candidate willing to brave the limits to bring in more voters. That’s what you saw when former President Donald Trump took the stage with New York City’s elite at the Catholic Al Smith charity dinner, as he did Thursday night, looking relaxed and beaming confidence. That’s what you saw when he spent Sunday serving up fries at a McDonald’s northeast of Philadelphia, in a move that threatens to change presidential campaigning forever. That’s what you saw when he entered a chanting stadium later that day for the Steelers-Jets game. As we’ve covered pretty extensively in the newsletter, this is not the impetus behind Kamala’s new strategy. Strategists have even convinced former first lady Michelle Obama, who is notoriously not a fan of Harris, Biden, or really anyone other than herself (and sometimes her husband), to come off the sidelines and campaign with Barack and the vice president. That’s star power, but maybe not persuasion. For all his prestige, former President Obama is a uniquely ineffective surrogate: His charisma doesn’t seem to extend anywhere beyond himself. Trump is in a very different frame of mind: He’s in base-turnout mode. His focus isn’t convincing new people — it’s getting those people he’s convinced to turn up and vote. He’s campaigning in Latrobe and Lancaster, Pennsylvania, or Concord and Greenville, North Carolina, where he did well in 2020 but needs people to turn out in even higher numbers. It’s where you want to be in the final stretches. It’s especially important when your voters might be feeling optimistic enough to skip the polls on Election Day if something inconvenient comes up. Down-ballot Democrats are worried, too. Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. Bob Casey released an ad touting his support for Trump’s past trade legislation and his willingness to stand against a President Harris when necessary. Pennsylvania is a must-win state for either party and has been neck and neck for weeks. Over in Wisconsin, Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin has an ad touting her work with Presidents Trump and Joe Biden — never even mentioning the current Democrat nominee. Public polling shows Trump with a thin lead in the Badger State, but as with Pennsylvania, those expensive and often more reliable private polls must be showing something uglier. Baldwin has certainly changed her tune from bashing Trump and his supporters as “offensive, hateful, [and] unacceptable” to openly courting them. Trump is looking relaxed. Harris: desperate. Vulnerable Democrats: panicked. A billion dollars in spending can make a big difference, but right now all the money in the world hasn’t put Harris’ campaign where it needs to be on this final stretch. Sign up for Bedford’s newsletter Sign up to get Blaze Media senior politics editor Christopher Bedford's newsletter. IN OTHER NEWS Harris-Walz campaign pulls out all the stops to woo black men By Blaze News’ new politics reporter, Rebeka Zeljko Black men are turning their backs on Vice President Kamala Harris and turning out record levels of support for former President Donald Trump. Among black male voters, 20% said they would vote for Trump even though just 4% considered themselves Republican, according to a New York Times/Siena poll from Oct. 12. Trump is on track to perform better among young black men than any other Republican candidate since 1960, according to CNN pollster Harry Enten. Harris has managed to hold on to only 41% of support from black men ages 18-44, which is a 12-point deficit from President Joe Biden’s numbers and roughly half of former President Barack Obama's support among the demographic, Enten’s analysis found. These figures have sounded the alarm for the Harris campaign. In an attempt to regain their support, the Democratic presidential hopeful curated a policy pitch to the “brothas,” as Obama said. Obama lectured other black men during a campaign appearance last week meant to boost turnout for Harris. “We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all quarters of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” Obama said to a roomful of black men. “Now, I also want to say that that seems to be more pronounced with the brothas. So if you don’t mind, I’m just going to speak to y’all directly.” “You’re coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses; I’ve got a problem with that,” Obama continued. “Because part of it makes me think, and I’m speaking to men directly, part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you're coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.” Harris has made other attempts to bridge the widening gap between herself and black men. Harris unveiled her “opportunity agenda” for black men on Monday, featuring policy proposals like forgivable loans for “black entrepreneurs,” bolstering cryptocurrency so black men “know their money is safe,” and legalizing recreational marijuana, despite overseeing over 1,900 marijuana convictions during her tenure as San Francisco district attorney. However, the campaign’s last-ditch effort to regain the votes fails to address the actual policy priorities of black men. As in other demographics, the economy remains the top issue for roughly a quarter of black men, according to the recent NYT/Siena poll. While Harris’ pitch to black men is tailored to address issues with a racial backdrop, only 4% said equality is their top priority and just 2% said the same for racial issues. Democratic political pundits like former CNN host Don Lemon are even admitting that “Kamala Harris has a problem with black men.” “There’s a problem,” Lemon said. “I went from battleground state to battleground state. ... It was not curated. I went up to people just doing man on the street and said, ‘Who are you gonna vote for?’ Black men, time after time after time, they said, ‘I’m voting for Donald Trump.’”

Super Bowl champ and former Steeler Antonio Brown campaigns for Trump in front of steelworker crowd in Pennsylvania

Super Bowl champion Antonio Brown endorsed Donald Trump while referring to the media as "crazy" during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania.Brown, along with his former teammate ex-Pittsburgh Steeler Le'Veon Bell, gave remarks to a raucous crowd at a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, which is about an hour east of Pittsburgh.Brown was all smiles at the event, interacting with the crowd and reporters while wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.In a video posted on X, Brown made several remarks about the Democratic ticket with particular focus on Kamala Harris' running mate, Tim Walz.'He knows success, and he knows what it takes to make America great again.'"I know the media is going to call me crazy for Trump having me speak here. But I want to make this clear: We are not. They are," Brown told rally-goers. "Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, they want to put tampons in the boys' bathroom. That's really insane, right? By the way, Tampon Tim Walz, he isn't a real football coach.""He could never guard me," Brown joked. In another video from the rally posted by RSBN, Brown described himself as an "underdog," telling fans that his time playing for the Steelers taught him the "spirit of Pittsburgh: blue-collar, hardworking people that are resilient and face challenges head-on."Brown continued, "I'm here representing a man who carries those same values: Donald Trump. He knows success, and he knows what it takes to make America great again. No matter what the media threw at him, no matter what people said to try to bring him down, he continued to push forward and kept getting back up. And he's always ready for the fight."Bell, a three-time Pro Bowl player, was much more succinct when approaching the mic. The former Michigan State running back simply said that Trump is the only candidate who can "make America great again."Since retiring, Bell has ventured into professional celebrity boxing and has a 2-1 record in three fights.Brown, on the other hand, has become active in the media and political landscape. He recently accused mainstream outlets of censorship over not showing Elon Musk on television when he attended a Steelers game. His vocal support for Trump has come with much fanfare, which he has parlayed into publicity for his own online sports network called CTESPN. Photo by Win McNamee/Getty ImagesThe Pennsylvania crowd was packed with steelworkers as Trump attempts to win the swing state after losing by just 1.2% to Joe Biden in 2020; Trump won the state by 0.7% in 2016.Pennsylvania has continuously seen its industry waver or send jobs overseas. In December 2023, the United States Steel Corporation, better known as U.S. Steel, was sold to Nippon Steel, a Japanese company worth over $21 billion.U.S. Steel had been an American company since 1901, but the $14.9 billion offer was too much pass up as the company was struggling with nearly $1 billion of debt.Trump's action-packed day on Sunday included not only the rally but a shift at McDonald's and an appearance at the Steelers game later that night.During the game, a female fan caused a stir when she rushed the field in knee-high boots. As she stumbled running across the field, she raised a sign that read, "Trump secure border. Kamala open border," before being apprehended.Like Blaze News? All Fragpunk characters and abilities

Who are the Fragpunk characters? The tactical FPS game rips up the rule book in more ways than one; game-changing cards can be used in between rounds to add an edge to your strategies, but perhaps the crux of your attack (or defense) is the characters you deploy. Each Fragpunk character has three different abilities that can drastically alter the course of any fight. Fragpunk is an interesting blend of hero shooter and tactical FPS game, and if you want to succeed, you will have to have intimate knowledge of each of the characters on offer. Destroying the opposition requires knowledge of your capabilities and the limitations of who you’re up against. Demo for new GTA style crime game The Precinct already downloaded 100,000 times

Going right back to the original game from 1997, I always felt bad for the cops in Grand Theft Auto. They can put up roadblocks, deploy the stinger, and even send the SWAT team after me, but as soon as I pull into that little Pay ‘N’ Spray and swap car colors, they’re helpless. GTA 6 looks great and we’re all hyped for the return of Rockstar and Vice City, but it won’t be here for a while. The Precinct, meanwhile, is on its way very soon - an open-world crime game told from the other side of the law, it lets you play as one of those put-upon cops, doing your best to lock up the very worst crooks in a sprawling, retro city. Stylish and atmospheric, The Precinct is already, seemingly, a huge hit, and it’s not even been fully released yet.
