The gray metal hit an intraday high of $32.40 and was up by 1.9 percent at the time of writing, extending its winning streak to eight days. Silver price has risen by 2.5 percent in the last week, and the momentum will likely keep it on the ascending lane in the near-term. The demand for silver has risen this week, with the uncertainty surrounding China’s economic stimulus raising demand for safe haven assets. The commodity also has propulsion from the escalating conflict in the Middle East. That has also brought traction to silver’s rich cousin, gold. Meanwhile, China’s GDP grew by 4.6 percent year-over-year in the third quarter, matching median forecasts. However, the growth rate fell below the government’s target rate of 5 percent, raising the prospect of a more aggressive stimulus intervention. Such a move could add propulsion to silver price. In addition, China’s industrial production grew at a faster rate than expected in September,coming in at 5.6 percent from August’s rate of 4.5 percent and above the forecast rate of 4.6 percent. That, too is a bullish sign for silver, as it could raise the metal’s industrial demand. Silver price prediction The momentum on silver price calls for further upside above the pivot mark at 32.35. With the bullish momentum in play, the first resistance will likely be at 32.60. However, if the bullishnes persists, the commodity could break above that level to the second barrier at 32.88. Alternatively, a move below 32.35 will signal the onset of a bearish control. In that case, the metal’s price could find the first support at 32.15. However, a stronger downward momentum could break below that level. At that point, the upside narrative will be invalid, and the decline could extend to test the second support at 31.93. Flooding in Roswell, New Mexico, has resulted in two deaths and dozens of hospitalizations. The city experienced historic rainfall that brought severe flooding on Saturday night. “The New Mexico National Guard worked through the overnight hours, along with other county and state agencies, responding to the flooding in and around Roswell,” the New Mexico National Guard posted to Facebook. “As of this release, the NM Guard and other agencies have rescued 290 people. 38 were taken to local hospitals,” it added. Prayers for our small town Roswell NM, so many people are now trying to figure out where to go, still looking for family members and we are still checking on as many elders as we can. City officials also say several vehicles were swept away in a river channel. The National Weather Service reports seven people were rescued after a car was swept away in flood water. The National Guard has also rescued nearly 300 people from floodwaters. According to the National Weather Service, 5.78″ of rain fell at the Roswell Air Center. This is a new all-time record for the city. The previous record was set in 1901. “We feel for the New Mexicans affected by this latest flooding in our state,” said Maj. Gen. Miguel Aguilar, the NM National Guard’s Adjutant General. “Because of the previous flooding in Ruidoso, we have the experience and were ready for this. We’ve worked all night, and continue to work with swift water rescue teams and other partner agencies to help our fellow citizens get to safety,” Aguilar added. Water levels have since receded in some areas, but remain high in downtown Roswell and throughout town along the Spring River channel, according to the city. “Many motorists became stranded when their vehicles got stuck in flood waters on many streets,” the City of Roswell said in a statement. “Some people had to await rescue on top of their vehicles that were covered by water. Some vehicles were swept by the water into the river channel. One fatality has been confirmed as a result of the flooding. Search-and-rescue efforts are still underway this morning.” Videos posted by Chaves County Sheriff Mike Herrington show him standing on top of his vehicle on Sunday around midnight, surrounded by floodwaters that swept his car away along with other stranded vehicles. People’s houses and cars flooded, Herrington says in the videos, which also show floodwater rescues. WATCH:

This historic election will feature a presidential campaign as well as races for federal, state, and municipal governments. Whether you plan to vote in person, by mail, or early, you must be ready. From validating your registration status to knowing your polling place and what’s on the ballot, here’s everything you need to know to make your vote count this election season. Are you registered to vote? Check your voter registration status before going to the polls. In the 2024 election, Americans will go to the polls on Tuesday, November 5, to vote in a historic presidential contest and for several federal, state, and municipal posts. But first, voter registration is necessary. Except for North Dakota, which does not require voter registration, each state has its own set of registration regulations and deadlines. Some states, such as California and Maine, allow for same-day registration at the polls, whilst others require registration up to 30 days before Election Day. The US Vote Foundation‘s online tool can help you determine the particular deadline for your state. Depending on your state, you can register in a variety of ways. Many states allow online registration, but you can also register by mail, phone, or at your local election office. You must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years old on Election Day, and meet your state’s eligibility criteria, which may differ. For example, some states deny voting rights to those who are already incarcerated or have certain felony convictions. If you are unsure whether you have already registered, you may easily check online. If you have moved, changed your name, or changed your party membership since the previous election, you must update your registration. Moving to a new state? Do not forget to re-register in your new location. How will you vote? In 2024, voters will have several alternatives for casting their ballots. You can vote in person on Election Day, early, or by mail (commonly known as absentee voting). Your selections may vary according to where you reside. Entering your name and address on your state’s Board of Elections website or Vote.org can quickly provide you with this information. They also clarify any ballot measures—often worded in complicated legalese—so you know what you’re voting for. Stay informed by visiting candidates’ websites, watching debates, and following local news coverage to learn where each candidate stands on the subjects that are most important to you. What to expect on election day Make sure you’re ready on Election Day. First, validate your polling place’s hours of operation, which can vary by state and county. You will be able to vote as long as you are in line before the polls close, even if it takes some time. When you arrive, a poll worker will compare your name to the list of registered voters. If they can’t find your name, ask if they can look up a statewide list or confirm your polling location. If you are still not on the voter rolls but believe you are, you can request a provisional ballot. After the polls close, electoral officials will confirm your registration. Some states, such as Indiana and Wisconsin, require voters to provide ID before voting. First-time voters in several states may additionally be required to present identification. The National Conference of State Legislatures website contains information on your state’s particular voter ID laws. Voting is a basic process. Poll workers will direct you to a voting machine or paper ballot station and are available to answer any inquiries. Voters with disabilities can seek adjustments, such as a chair to sit in while they wait or a voting machine that helps people with eyesight or mobility issues. Every polling station is expected to have at least one machine to assist voters with impairments. It’s also critical to be mindful of voter intimidation, which is unlawful. This could include violent behavior, challenging your eligibility to vote, preventing access to the polls, or circulating misleading information about voting.
