Paul Stanley talks about Jane’s Addiction stage fight

The legendary Kiss co-founder, guitarist, and singer Paul Stanley discussed the recent events surrounding Jane's Addiction's stage fight in an interview with Steve-O (transcribed by Blabbermouth). The band's vocalist, Perry Farrell, assaulted guitarist Dave Navarro on stage, and later, the band announced a hiatus while Farrell stated he would seek mental health help. The Kiss member said that no matter what you don't bring the problems between band members to the stage. Because according to him it is really disrespectful to the fans who are paying to see the band they love. The musician said it doesn't matter if they are in the middle or the end of a tour, that particular show is not just another show, it's that audience's night. Paul Stanley talks about Jane's Addiction stage fight "Cardinal rule: you don't hit. And you don't bring your problems on stage. You leave your ego — well, that's more difficult. But you leave your anger and your resentment at the bottom of the stairs. And we would go on stage and have a great time sometimes playing and then walk off stage and not be talking to each other. The audience doesn't deserve that. The audience paid. And that goes back to that same philosophy of being the band we never saw." "People get one chance to see you, possibly on a tour. It doesn't matter about last night or about the night after — that's their night, and for them to see you not interacting with your bandmate, that's kid shit. That's disrespectful to the people who paid." "There was a few times (In Kiss) where there were two people who wouldn't be talking to two other people. You go up on stage and rock out and have a great time and then you walk off stage and you don't have anything to do with them. It's your job," Paul Stanley said. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUIce4GpgBA[/embed] After 50 years on the road Kiss came to an end in 2023 playing their final shows at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, city where the band was formed. The post Paul Stanley talks about Jane’s Addiction stage fight appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

Slash’s opinion on Yngwie Malmsteen

Music from the 80s, loved by some and hated by others, ultimately depends on personal taste. Many incredible guitarists achieved fame back then, and opinions on their talent vary. Two notable examples are the Guns N' Roses member Slash and former Alcatrazz guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. They were both born in Europe in the 60s and ended up becoming part of respected American bands. Although they are quite different in terms of technique and style, Slash talked about Malmsteen a few times and gave his opinion on him. What Slash said about Yngwie Malmsteen Yngwie Malmsteen's style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but Slash really likes him. In an interview with Guitar World in 2024, the British musician said that he is always attracted by players who have their own unique personality, something that Malmsteen has when performing. “No matter what type of playing it is, the really good ones that stand out are the ones that have their own unique personality. That’s what I’ve always been attracted to. It doesn’t matter whatever technique it is that they’re using, as long as it’s theirs. I mean, Yngwie? Yngwie means it. He fucking owns that shit, whether you like it or not,” Slash said. The Guns N' Roses guitarist was also featured in Malmsteen's 2013 memoir, "Relentless". He praised Malmsteen similarly, highlighting the characteristics that make the Swedish guitarist so remarkable. “Yngwie literally blew my mind when he came on the LA music scene in the early 80’s. the fastest & most articulate, fluid, melodic, classical based rock guitarist I’d ever heard. Still the best at what he does all these years later,” Slash said. The guitarist even shared recently on his Instagram a video of Malmsteen performing "Far Beyond the Sun" live in Leningrad back in 1989. Yngwie Malmsteen [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdAqnc-AjoQ&pp=ygUcZmFyIGJleW9uZCB0aGUgc3VuIGxlbmluZ3JhZA%3D%3D[/embed] Yngwie Malmsteen was born in Hässelby-Vällingby, Sweden back in 1963 and he is two years older than Slash. The musician started his musical career in 1978 but his first studio record would be released only in 1983 with the short-lived band Steeler. The band broke-up during that same year and he joined Alcatrazz being part of their praised album "No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll" also in 1983. But Malmsteen's temper only allowed him to be in the band for one year, leaving in 1984 and starting his solo career, mainly playing instrumental songs. In 1984 he released "Rising Force", which is still considered a landmark for "neoclassical metal" music and shredding technique. The record won the Guitar Player’s award for Best Rock Album. Also was nominated for a Grammy Award for “Best Rock Instrumental”, reaching no. 60 on the Billboard album chart. Since then he has released 22 studio albums, the most recent one being "Parabellum" (2021). Why Malmsteen prefers to be a solo artist In an interview with Eddie Trunk in 2022, Malmsteen explained why he wouldn’t like to join a band these days. “Well, I’m not saying never for anything, but most likely not. Because I’m in a rock and roll setting like everybody knows. It’s a rock and roll band, basically, on stage. But the way I create is very much like a painter or writer where. I don’t paint half a painting and call my friend up and [say], ‘Hey, can you come finish half the painting for me?'” “That’s the only thing. It’s not because I’m egotistical; it’s just an artistic expression thing. Going out with ‘Generation Axe’ is more than enough to be a band than anything,” Yngwie Malmsteen said. The post Slash’s opinion on Yngwie Malmsteen appeared first on Rock And Roll Garage.

My Biggest Battle (The Tragic Story Of COVID Vaccine-Injured Extreme Triathlete Heiko Sepp)

The story of how the COVID-19 vaccine crushed ultra-triathlon super athlete Heiko Sepp. UTL COMMENT:- Sad how many lives the bioweapon has destroyed.... Why seek out medical advice from the same criminals in white coats that caused your illness to begin with?? The government lied about covid, the tests, the deaths, the masks and the 6ft distancing, but they were very clear that this was an emergency use authorization trial - EUA Trial. They are collecting data from that Trial and sadly, Heiko's injuries are a part of that. Between the democide (government ordered murder) in the hospitals behind locked doors and without witnesses on innocent patients for an illness they did not have or those injured by or have died from the jab$ these are all crimes against humanity and every single person who played a part should be held accountable...with SEVERE CONSEQUENCES for those found guilty!!! ?☠️?? Boyz II Men updated 'I'll Make Love to You’ for married couples and it's both funny and true

Boyz II Men’s classic 1994 love song “I’ll Make Love to You” was one of the most popular make-out songs of the ‘90s. But now, the Gen Xers who got down to it back then are a bit older and have probably settled down.Life in your 40s and 50s has more to do with handling household chores and parenting responsibilities than making love “all through the night,” as Boyz II Men originally sang nearly 30 years ago. Studies show that the average married couple in their 40s and 50s has sex around once a week, whereas those in their 20s and 30s have it twice as often. The threesome had some fun with the passing of time on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Valentine’s Day when they debuted an updated version of “I’ll Make Love to You” that reframes the song for couples who’ve been married for the past 15 years. “I’ll Make Love to You (But We Don’t Have To)” features three members of the Philadelphia group’s classic lineup, Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, Wanyá Morris and a cameo from Colbert himself.Back in the group's heyday in the ‘90s, it had four members, but unfortunately, bass singer Michael McCary left the group in 2003 after being diagnosed with muscular sclerosis. Here are the lyrics to “I’ll Make Love to You (But We Don’t Have To)”:Close the door, wash this dishI'll put all the forks awayIt's our 15th Valentine's DayWe're gonna celebrate once this house is cleanPour some wine in my favorite coffee mugAre the kids finally asleep?Said we'd do it once a weekBut we don't have to, babeLet's see what's on TVI’ll make love to you if you want me toUnless you’re too tired, because I’m tired, tooI’ll make love to you, or we can just watch YouTube andI'll text you some memes while I'm next to youGirl, relax; there's no rushLet's just go to Puzzle-townYou need help with 19-downOh, a female sheepBaby, you know that's ewePick up clothes from the floorI'll be sure to check Brooklyn's mathThen we'll both get in the bathBut not at the same time; it's very uncomfortableI’ll make love to you in a day or twoHow 'bout a raincheckLast time I threw out my neckDo you want me to paint the living room?I keep saying I will, but I never doI know your job got you stressedAnd this whole house is a messStill, tonight, let's say yesTo doing it or we could watch "NCIS"I’ll make love to you, coz my love is trueI'll make sure you know, ok, your eyes are closedAlright, that's some drool, and you're snoring, tooMaybe let's try again in a week or twoThis article originally appeared on 2.15.23

Finance influencer shares 'number one trick to get anything done' without procrastinating

A big reason many tasks don’t get done is that they are boring and seem to make time go slower than usual. Cleaning the house, doing the dishes, or folding your clothes can be a drag, so it’s easy to put them off until the last minute. Jenny Park, a finance influencer on TikTok, has found a way to stop procrastinating: by taking advantage of the body’s ability to produce dopamine, the “feel-good” neurotransmitter. Dopamine is part of the body’s reward center and is released when we are feeling pleasure. It floods our brain with a “rush” when we are having sex, doing drugs, shopping, scrolling through social media, or smelling cookies. It also plays a role in learning, blood vessel function and mood regulation. Once we get a dopamine hit, we’re likely to return for more. That’s why people are easily addicted to scrolling through social media, or in extreme cases, cocaine and heroin. Park says we can stop procrastinating over understimulating tasks by pairing them with dopamine-releasing activities. @mohaewithjennypark Steal this life hack and you’ll be way more productive!! #bigsisteradvice #lifetips #dopaminemenu #howtobemoreproductive #goals #productivitytips #lifeadvice #20sontiktok #adhdinwomen #adhdtips "If there are certain mindless things around the house that I just dread doing, like putting away clothes or unloading the dishwasher, I will save certain YouTube videos or podcasts that I can only do for these specific tasks," Park explains in the video. "I'll listen to the podcast and then mindlessly do the task and it makes the time go by so much faster, then I'm tricking myself into getting dopamine from this task." Park is right that podcasting can make mundane tasks more pleasurable. When people listen to long-form conversations that require deep engagement, their brains release dopamine, which makes them want to seek out more podcasts. So, when people say podcasts are addictive, they are correct. "Steal this life hack and you'll be way more productive!" Park captioned her video. The video was a big hit on TikTok, earning over 30,000 views. Park’s followers in the comments shared how they use the dopamine trick to accomplish things they don’t want to do. “Task stacking: Doing something you have to do + something you enjoy doing,” Samantha wrote. “This is how I trained for a half marathon. I was only allowed to watch ‘New Girl’ on the treadmill and it works!” Maiden added. This is how I get myself on the treadmill, lol,” Cait wrote. “I’ve been saving shows to only watch when I’m at the gym and it makes it fly by and makes me go in the first place.” For Park, getting things done is all about creating the perfect space for herself to be effective, whether listening to a podcast she loves while doing something mundane or altering the timeframe for a task. “I definitely used to struggle with procrastination until I stopped seeing it as a character flaw,” she told Upworthy. “For bigger tasks like work, I now just know that I do my best work in a tight time frame. So I will intentionally try to create that environment and not feel stressed. Or, I’ll find ways to get dopamine while still being productive. These days, I’m way more productive and less stressed.” The bottom line on Park’s hack is that everyone works differently, and it’s okay for you to find your own way to accomplish a task, whether that means listening to a podcast or watching an episode of “Friends” while you’re doing it. Altering the time frame can also mean giving yourself a sense of urgency, as in Park's case. The key is to find what works for you and to run with it. Follow Jenny Park on TikTok here.
