Tony Dungy uses the Bible to crush Kamala Harris' narrative about abortion and faith: 'You make this statement all the time'

NFL Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy is challenging one of Vice President Kamala Harris' top pro-abortion talking points.Like other pro-abortion Democrats who identify as Christians, Harris routinely argues that people do not have to "abandon their faith" to support abortion.'Exactly what "faith" are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion?'The justification used to support their argument is that self-autonomy and self-actualization are the chief goods in society, and defending defenseless unborn lives infringes upon one's autonomy. On Thursday, Harris repeated her claim."One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree: The government, and certainly Donald Trump, should not be telling a woman what to do with her body," Harris said. — (@) Dungy, a devout Christian and ardent defender of unborn lives, promptly called out Harris and used the Bible to refute her claim."Dear VP Harris: I hear you make this statement all the time. Exactly what 'faith' are you talking about when you say you don’t have to abandon it to support abortion?" Dungy asked. "Are you talking about the Christian faith that says all babies are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26), that God places them in the womb (Jer 1:5) and that we should not take any life unjustly (Luke 18:20)?""Are you talking about that faith or some nebulous, general 'faith' that says we’re good enough, and smart enough to make our own decisions? What 'faith' are you talking about?" he added. — (@) The implication of Dungy's response is clear: He believes that Christians who support abortion abandon core teachings of their faith. In the past, Dungy has made that clear."I would think it would be difficult for someone who believes that God sees us when we are in the womb (Psalm 139:13-16) to think that it is OK to choose not to bring that life to fruition," he said in 2020.Meanwhile, one of the biggest problems with Harris' pro-abortion position is that she refuses to endorse any restrictions. At the presidential debate last week, Harris was asked if she would support "any restrictions" on abortion. But instead of answering the question, Harris said, "I absolutely support reinstating the protections of Roe v. Wade." The question, then, becomes: If Harris is not willing to support any restrictions on abortion, does she support abortion under any circumstance and at any gestational age? Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Americans will get an answer to that question before heading to the ballot box on Election Day.Like Blaze News? Harris and Biden’s legacy? Inflation, debt, and a leaderless nation

Two realities are plaguing our nation right now, and both will worsen if Donald Trump loses in November.Reality one: The United States has neither a president nor a vice president.Joe Biden and Kamala Harris bear the titles of president and vice president and have offices in the White House. Their titles even come with family photos and name placards. In terms of autonomous and independent leadership, however, they simply do not exist. You will own nothing and be happy, and your wealth is already dissolving at breakneck speed.Every major Western nation is following the same pattern: massive waves of illegal immigration, fear campaigns weaponized by governments against their own citizens, crackdowns on free speech, and the forced merger of private business with government through the radical green agenda.Take Great Britain, for example. Once, its people elected a leader who defied evil, declaring:We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. How did the British become a people whose government arrested an army veteran for posting a meme? He didn’t falsely yell “fire” in the middle of a crowded theater. He was arrested because the meme was “causing anxiety.”How does that happen? And how does a country get to that point? It all begins when a country isn’t led by independent leadership anymore. When instead, it has agents and representatives of the international order and machine.Reality two: inflation. You will own nothing and be happy, and your wealth is already dissolving at breakneck speed. The national debt is set to blow past $36 trillion with no plan to cut spending. From 2025 through 2034, if everything remains as it is, the U.S. federal deficit will top $16 trillion.Last week, for the first time in American history, interest payments on the national debt topped $1 trillion. But don’t worry. We’re lulled to sleep with the news that inflation has cooled to 2.5%.Core prices, which include food, housing, energy, cars, and anything else we actually buy, were a bit higher at 3.2%. But 2.5% and 3.2% overall seem manageable, right? The government can keep spending, and we can keep swiping the credit cards. For the past four years, we’ve been hearing that the national debt, deficit, and inflation pose no real problem. The Fed has a plan, prices are coming down, and everything will be fine even as the government continues printing and spending money. But do you feel that way when you go to the grocery store, pay your energy bill, or fill up your gas tank? This explains the gap between what the government is saying and what you’re feeling in your wallet. If you look at the Consumer Price Index data from 2023 to the end of 2024, it looks like the average cost of goods that we pay to support our families like food, clothes, gas, cars, and energy bills increased gradually. At the tail end of 2024, you can see that “cooling” increase of 2.5% and 3.2%. It’s doesn’t look like such a big change, so why are so many Americans struggling to make ends meet? It's because these numbers don’t consider the chasm of deficit spending between 2020 and today. If the media were honest about the Biden administration’s role in stoking inflation, it would report that the Consumer Price Index has increased over 20% from 256 to 314 from April 2020 to the present. This chasm is where the discussion should be, but it wants us focused on small, incremental percentage changes from one month to the next.Don’t fall for the media’s effort to separate Kamala Harris from bearing the responsibility for the dismal state of our nation. She bowed to the overlords’ agenda to enable massive immigration. She presided over COVID-era lockdowns and deficit spending that resulted in the 22% increase in the Consumer Price Index. She will continue to pay for the left’s radical agenda by printing more money at the expense of your wallet.Want more from Glenn Beck? Arch Manning officially becomes Texas QB1, and his NIL numbers are already jaw-dropping

Legacy quarterback Arch Manning is officially stepping into the starter role for the Texas Longhorns against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks. The quiet nephew to two-time Super Bowl winners Peyton and Eli Manning, Arch is set to take the helm despite only being a sophomore.Manning is stepping in to replace star junior Quinn Ewers, who went down with an abdominal injury last week.Manning has already thrown five touchdowns in limited playtime in 2024, remarkably on just 14 completions out of 18 attempts. That means he's throwing a touchdown about every three passes. The 19-year-old has already amassed one of the largest name, image, and likeness valuations of any collegiate-level athlete in the nation despite barely seeing the field.'Manning up.'He is ranked No. 4 in the country on college NIL tracker On3, with a valuation of $3.1 million. Interestingly, he is one spot ahead of the aforementioned Ewers, who is valued at $2.2 million.Manning has been very careful with brand and persona, rarely providing public comment. This may be subject to change now that he is the starting quarterback at Texas, however. His last post on X was way back in early July when he appeared in a commercial with his uncle Eli to promote the video game College Football 25. The story behind the post is an intriguing one, with Manning seemingly holding out until just 10 days before the game's release to secure a better deal.As gamers were excited to see the likeness of real college athletes in a game for the first time since 2013, Manning was one of a few notable players who declined to be in the game. Players were offered $600 and a copy of the game for their participation. However, Manning was able to secure more than $50,000 at the last minute, which could put publisher Electronic Arts in a bind for future deals. To add to the fanfare, Manning is likely to drum up even more celebrity support with super fan and actor Matthew McConaughey. The Texas native often appears on the sidelines with the players and has previously expressed his excitement when Manning joined the team."Manning up #HookEm," the Texas graduate wrote on X in 2022.Before even starting a game, Manning has reached the No.1 spot on CBS Sports' quarterback power rankings.Like Blaze News? Andrew Cuomo PERSONALLY edited report downplaying COVID nursing home deaths, email reveals: 'Governor's edits are attached'

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo recently and repeatedly claimed that he does not recall seeing the 2020 New York State Department of Health report before its release. However, emails and congressional documents revealed that Cuomo may have been much more involved in the report than previously admitted.Cuomo testified at a private hearing in June and a public hearing this month as part of a congressional subcommittee investigation into New York for its COVID response, including the more than 15,000 reported COVID-related nursing home deaths.'He should be prosecuted.'The disgraced governor was asked multiple times about the Health Department report, which deflected blame for the deaths. He claimed he did not remember seeing the report, let alone reviewing or editing it, before it was released. However, a June 23, 2020, email from his then-assistant, Farah Kennedy, suggested Cuomo was far more involved in the report than he had previously admitted, the New York Times reported. "Governor's edits are attached for your review," read Kennedy's email, which was sent to members of Cuomo's senior staff."The smaller text in the beginning is from your original document. He replaced your paragraph on page 3 beginning with 'But, like in all fifty states, there were Covid-positive cases,'" Kennedy's email explained.Cuomo requested adding language to the report that emphasized how "community spread among employees or possibly visitation by family and friends were relevant factors" in the nursing home deaths."The larger text," Kennedy wrote, "is what he added."Additionally, the Times also uncovered congressional documents that suggested one of Cuomo's aides had requested on June 29, 2020, that the report be sent to the former governor's home."Please print two copies and drop at mansion," it read.A week after the aide's request, the report was published, and some of Cuomo's edits were included, according to the Times report.Tracey Alvino, director of Voices for Seniors, whose father passed away after contracting COVID while residing in a New York City nursing home, accused Cuomo of lying to Congress, the New York Post reported."It's a crime. It's proven by the emails," Alvino stated. "Absolutely, he should be prosecuted. I would love to see him in an orange jumpsuit."Vivian Zayas, co-founder of Voice for Seniors, whose mother died after contracting COVID in a New York City nursing home, also accused Cuomo of lying. "He said he had nothing to do with the report," Zayas remarked. "If he lied to Congress, he committed a crime. He should definitely be investigated.""We're going to see this through to the end. Cuomo needs to be held accountable," Zayas added.A Cuomo spokesperson, Rich Azzopardi, stated, "Governor Cuomo was fully cooperative with the committee over two separate days, relayed everything he remembered about events that happened four years ago in the midst of a once-in-a-century pandemic and nothing this MAGA committee has uncovered undermines that New York followed [then-President Donald] Trump's CDC nursing home policies or the DOH report's conclusion that COVID was spread in nursing homes by asymptomatic staff."Like Blaze News? Lotus Theory 1 is a high-powered electric sports car with haptics and robot textiles

Sadly, Theory 1 isn’t going into production. | Image: Lotus Lotus revealed its new Theory 1 electric sports car, a concept that the automaker says “embodies the future of intelligent performance vehicles.” It’s a visual aid for Lotus’ new Digital, Natural, and Analogue (DNA — get it?) design principles on which it plans to base its performance vehicles for the modern era. Theory 1 features Lotus’ new “Lotuswear” interior that promises an immersive and personalized driving experience. It adapts physically to the driver and passengers, making seats more comfortable and communicating with lights and haptic feedback that can tell you when to make a turn, for example. The interior materials are lightweight robotic textiles built by MotorSkins that use inflatable pods in the seating and steering... Continue reading…
